  1. I would love for for Bryson DeChambeau to pull off a win but somehow it seems his game doesn't fit Augusta.
  2. You just beat me to this question! Why the one leftie?
  3. I also recently bought the G425 driver, although mine is 10.5 degrees and yeah, your last statement is true for me also. I have tried numerous other drivers over the last few years - PXG, Callaway, Bombtech (don't judge me), Cobra, TaylorMade, Callaway (again), another Callaway, and then Callaway (yet again, the Rogue ST), all to the detriment of my checking account - and the G425 is the first PING driver I have ever tried and I've since added a PING G410 7-wood (stole it from my son and I am hoping to upgrade to a G430 MAX soon). Sheesh, I may even have to buy a PING bag now!
  4. I just found this thread, and read a lot of great stories so I'll share one of mine. I was playing in a scramble tournament, where you got to form your own team, and the team I ended up on had a grand total handicap of about 11 and 7 of that 11 was me. We finished at -19 and one other team also finished at -19 so after the scorecard playoff was also a tie, they decided to have a putt-off. They set up a putt on the practice green that was about 75 feet or so and about 20 feet of break in it, and we won the coin flip so Matt volunteers to putt first for our team. They won't let any of the other 7 players watch him putt but dang if he didn't hole the putt! Now the other team has to go one at a time and they still won't let us watch, just in case they make it and we have to go and see who is second closest. Their closest putt was some 12 feet away so we won and all we got for our trouble - besides the thrill of winning - was a $50 gift card to the pro shop. I didn't find anything in the pro shop to buy so I saved mine to come back and play that course later, and danged if it didn't get purchased a month or so later and go private. This was in 1998, btw, and I found that stupid worthless gift card in my desk recently when I cleaned it out. Fun times, and btw, I had a hole-out from about 45 yards on one of the par 5's for one of our two eagles. Both teams eagled the same two par 5's and we both bogeyed a 240 yard par 3. But you already knew that from the score-card playoff being a tie, I just wanted to explain why it was -19 and not -20.
  5. Ah yes, that 18th at Twin Lakes was a female dog of a hole. I really liked that course and was sorry when the tornado rolled through there and they shut it down. I don't remember the hole number, but they also had a really long (like 600 yards) par 5 that was uphill and played into the wind. I remember playing that hole one time and hitting driver, 3 wood, 3 wood, 7 iron to the green - and I hit all of those shots pure. That course also had wicked greens. Drove out there several times and played 36.
  6. I haven't seen anyone mention this course yet, but I really like Vaaler Creek in Blanco. It is a very fun layout, and it has been in excellent shape all three times I have played it.
  7. Good thread. Yesterday I spent an hour at PGA Superstore with one of these in my hand. I only picked it up to play with it because it looked so crazy. I hadn't heard anything about it before, but I've spent an hour or two (or three, sorry boss) reading about them. My normal putting, I miss almost everything left so I know I constantly pull it, but with this thing I was hitting the hole pretty consistently and it felt like the straightest I've been able to hit putts in forever. Yeah, I know, it was on carpet, but really I walked out of there thinking "how can I scare up the $400 to get me one of those?". Intriguing piece of equipment.
