  1. Would love the chance to try a brand of iron I have never played.
  2. My putting is so bad I definitely need to try something new.
  3. Not so much now that I am retired but before retirement I traveled quite a bit resulting in me showing up at golf course as a single. I personally do not like playing as a single. I always ask do they have someone who they could pair me up with. Other times, I have hung around until I saw a single, twosome or threesome and just walked up and asked if they minded if I played along with them. On a few occasions, I was turned down but not very often. I try my best to be cordial, play quickly, and avoid certain topics of conversation that tend to be controversial. Conversation comes pretty easy for me so I just try to find out what their interests are and go from there. And, I never give advice about golf unless I am asked.
  4. I have bought from them on several occasions with no problems whatsoever.
  5. Congratulations. We are same age. I had been so close for a few years now but finally managed to do it twice since March. Again CONGRATULATIONS!!! Great accomplishment.
  6. I am back after being gone for a few years. I had to create a new account since the email address I used originally is not available to me to receive emails. Couldn't remember the password. Oh well..... I have been catching up reading lots of post here. Good to be back. I play in 2 traveling tournament leagues, have been MGA president at 3 different clubs, currently on handicap committee at 2clubs, maintain website for another, and run the Saturday afternoon Senior game at my home club. How long have you been playing golf? 50 years What’s your handicap or normal score? Handicap index is 11.0 What do you love about golf? I won't post the entire deal but if you watched the Legend of Bagger Vance, what Hardy Greaves told Rannulph Junuh in the locker room sums it up. It simply is the greatest game ever. If you didn't see the movie or don't remember it, look up the little speach Hardy gave Junuh. It really is good. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Doing a Google search, I saw a post I wanted to respond to. Do you already know any other Spies? Not sure Where are you from? Originally Alabama now live in Weston Lakes Texas What is your home course? Weston Lakes Country Club What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Can play golf pretty much year round is probably the best along with lots of good courses. Worst, well some would say the high temps and humidity in the summertime. I can tolerate it. Gnats and mosquitos are probably the worst to me. What do you do for a living? Retired from one of the largest oil field equipment and service suppliers in the world How’d you pick your user name? My old name was my full name. Now it is just my first name and first initial of last name. I don't try to hide.
  7. Here is what I used. https://www.amazon.com/Mueller-Tennis-Elbow-Support-Black/dp/B0027VOS8U/ref=sr_1_6?crid=309TNTXK0FVS9&dchild=1&keywords=tennis+elbow+brace+with+gel+pad&qid=1623711973&rdc=1&sprefix=tennis+elbow+brace+with+%2Caps%2C180&sr=8-6 I didn't just wear it playing golf. I wore it 7 days a week, wore it to work, wore it doing anything and everything. It took a while but I did not give up playing golf. I think the secret to it is wearing it almost constantly. Good luck
  8. I haven't found another one. And this year will be my 34th consecutive year to play in it.
