Buried In Clubs's Achievements

  1. The one on the left is a walter hagen of some sort I assume. Has WH in fancy script in the cavity on back of the head. The one on the right is an old Forgan 3 iron
  2. From what I can tell, the running average for a set of irons is $125., but some sets i have, sold recently for $200 all the way up to $500. For example, a set of muirfield 20th irons just sold for about 300, but it didn't include a 1 iron, or the driver and 3 wood, as where I have 1-sw plus the driver and 3 wood. No putter though sadly, but I do have a macgregor response putter. What do you think would be a fair price for that?
  3. Aside of course limited promotional bags like coca-cola, Dr. Pepper, etc, are there any bags that are considered to be rare or valuable?
  4. $10-20 a club? O.O That would literally be 10-20k or more, from a single $100 investment. Move over bitcoin! Thats a 100-200x return on investment, I highly doubt I'd get that much for them all. It would be nice if I could find someone who could come out to me and buy them all at once! That would definitely save me a whole ton of time.
  5. If so, I definitely need one. I copied the following from my introduction post located in the southwest geographical area introduction thread just because its too much to retype it all. How’d you pick your user name? Well you see, uhm. I'm being buried alive by golf clubs? I have always loved the idea of golf, but never had the money to get into it. But recently, I spent $100 on some old golf clubs, and boy oh boy let me tell you, i have a lot of clubs. I originally was expecting to maybe get a few good sets of clubs out of the whole lot ,(guy i got them from got them at a storage auction and the listing made it sound like most were trash) but upon further review, in think that I Bought the hoard of a serious collector. I have a couple different Macgregor vip sets, even a VIP limited set, as well as muirfield 20th anniversary model, louise sugga model, 130w parmakers, winged MT tourneys, DX, DX2, and DX3 irons, then I've got a bunch of Wilson staff model sets , such as the staff tour blades, fg-17, fg-51, dynapower, and dynapowerED Staff sets, old school golden bear blades, 1967 and 68 hogan bounce soles, radial soles, and other various hogans, I've got walter hagens , "the haig" and "haig-ultra" top flite synchrodyned blades, Forgan blades with pyratone shafts, kroflite robert Trent jones also with pyratone shafts, fancy face woods galore, and more wedges and putters than I ever imagined were possible for one man to own. I intend to try and flip them, but I really would like to learn the history behind these clubs, all-the-while looking for that perfect set of clubs that suit me the best somewhere within this hoardpictured here is an assortment of Macgregor sets and Wilson staff irons sets, as well as assorted VIP and Staff wedges, which makes up roughly 5-10% of my collection in total.
  6. Hey there, my name is Mathew, and i'm from southern california. How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? I quite honestly have no clue, I've haven't played a round of golf ever asides from a couple times with my father when I was barely knee high to a grasshopper, but at the driving range I have been told by experienced golfers that I hit a perfect draw despite my complete lack of technique (when I actually can make contact with the ball that is) What do you love about golf? I enjoy the fact that it can be played by just about anyone. Its a sport I'll be able to enjoy and possibly be somewhat competetive in for the next 40 years What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? No, I can't say that I do. Where are you from? What is your home course? I'm from Hesperia, California. Home course is the Hesperia public golf course, which used to be a PGA tour stop at one point What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Best thing is the courses arent overly crowded because typically its too hot out for most people, worst thing, is that its hard to maintain courses in the mojave desert especially during a drought, so some courses arent in the best shape. What do you do for a living? I'm an "Over The Road" truck driver. How’d you pick your user name? Well you see, uhm. I'm being buried alive by golf clubs?
