I got my Wedges today! These things look sweet. I can't wait to take them out this weekend. They'd sure look nice next to some new irons! Haha. Good luck everyone! Is it Saturday yet?!

Nice opportunity to test such a popular shaft for those selected. I still believe I'm in a serious minority because I have never been able to get a Ventus shaft to work for me. It wasn't for lack of trying, but it's just not for me.

Good thing I’ve done one test that kinda eased me in to the process.  Learned stuff I coulda done better at least in my mind.

Without going through a fitting, based on things that have worked in the past, this seems like it would be a solid setup for myself. I couldn't get along with the Stealth, so hoping the Qi10 is an improvement all around.

I have had the T350's in play for about a month, I've posted some thoughts on them in different threads here, probably in the thread that first announced them.,   But I'll chime in my thoughts during the testing thread as well.  For the Forum tests we really try to pick testers that are suited to what the model calls for, even though we realize handicaps are not the be all end all of a player's ability.  We aren't likely to choose a + handicap for the T350's just like we aren't likely to choose a 36 handicap for the T100.   Despite how many times they say "Iron play is my strength, I'm just a really bad putter"    LOL

The Mizuno drivers were surprisingly good this year when the local course had a demo day. I know Mizuno does not get much attention in the woods space, but the driver at least has made some significant jumps from previous versions I had tried. The driving iron also just looks great, especially the black finish.

Coming up on close to a year now. Admittedly I have sailed one over the top as well, but it was such a mishit, the larger net would not have caught it either. I keep the net basically sitting flat and then propped against the side of the house for convenience in terms of setup and put away, but it does sit in the sun for a large part of the day. The UV may be something I have to be concerned with in the future.

Good job on the reviews everyone. I am surprised to see some UV damage to the net for @WaffleHouseTour. My SPG-7 sits outside in the California central valley sun all the time and no issues so far. Seems like what I'm mostly reading is that the testers were happy with the product (as I believe all of us SPG-7 testers were) but the price increase for the extra foot of size appears to be a concern.

Good luck everyone!  I was in last year's test group.  I love my net, easy set up and take down.  Its a huge hit with everyone who comes to my house, grandkids, adults, golfers, non golfers alike.  Pair it with my personal LM and it's a great way to keep tabs on swing speed during busy times of the year when I can't even sneak off to the driving range.

I will be anxious to see if they've addressed the roof portion of the net.  If I remember properly each tester from last year's group had an issue with that.  I know that I did and wasn't the only one.

Surprised the sign ups are still so low. The Spornia nets are high quality with a few minor quirks that could be improved (based on the 7 foot model I tested last year). Looking forward to the reviews from the testers to see if any improvements were made or they just went bigger.

I know what you mean. I haven't taken it out in a while just because of life. It's amazing how even the most convenient net (literally 30 seconds to set up), can seem like a pain when you have other things on your mind. I may have to steal your idea with the horse stall mat just to give some extra padding between the hitting mat and the concrete patio out there. I may have bent an iron shaft from the practice (and a little of my own stupidity).

Been a little intimated to get the net back out if I'm honest lol. I've also just been crazy busy as my wife has been traveling more for her job lately. The good news is I was able to get the garage cleaned up a bit and should have enough space to leave it up for a couple days this week while she's away.

Last week before the winter storm made its way through Texas, I got the net out along with a new add-on for a bit of practice.
I've been wanting a large hitting mat so I wouldn't always be practicing with the ball above my feet. After a bit of research, I decided to do something a bit unconventional to save some money...

For ~$45 at my local Tractor Supply, I was able to pick up a 4'x6'x3/4" horse stall mat. The idea first came to me thanks to previous research I had done on home gym flooring options and then I discovered plenty of golfers who fashioned their own hitting mats this way. However, I wasn't satisfied with the time, cost, or quality of the materials they were using. It just seemed to me that I'd run into the same issues that were preventing me from pulling the trigger on any of the hitting mats in my price range. So, I opted to simply cut the mat in half and notch it to fit my Callaway Launch Zone mat. It works great! The best part is when I've worn out the mat, I simply go purchase a new, significantly smaller, and less expensive mat (compared to full size hitting mats). Since the horse stall mat is only supporting my feet and dealing with the torque created by them, it should last quite a while and I've got a backup ready to go in storage!
I do intend to replace the Callaway Launch Zone with a slightly larger mat, just in case I were to stay down on a shot a bit too long and catch the lip created by the notch. I hate to even imagine what that would feel like!
In other news, the Spornia Net continues to hold up well and fulfill my needs. I will report that I did manage to miss the net though 🙈. I still do not know with great detail exactly what happened, but I was working on some position drills and one of the things I like to do is make a VERY slow-motion swing and then "sweep" the ball into the net so I get more of feel for impact. Apparently, I started the "sweep" motion a bit early and made poor contact because the ball shot right between the post and the net, hit the brick wall, and ricocheted into a neighbor's yard. I don't even know which neighbor, but I am happy to report I didn't hear any broken glass. After waiting to see if anyone would start yelling, I quickly packed everything back up and headed inside! LOL!
I think I may be investing in some foam balls just to play it safe 😂.

Got this net out again today as it was great weather and had some time. Working on just short swings with good supination of the left forearm and good impact. Also worked on driver impact as that struggled last time I played (still hit a good many fairways, just put way too much spin on the ball).
