  1. I recently reshafted my F9 for the second time. First time I researched all the information I needed and bought my shaft online and had it installed, loved it. Being in my 60s my swing changed enough that I was wondering if a lighter shaft would benefit me. I did a fitting and was correct in my assumption, so even after reshafting it twice, I still saved a little instead of writing a big check for one club.
  2. I watch a lot of reviews on YouTube and that includes “No putts given “, Rick Shiels, James Robinson, among others. I clearly remember Rick saying MGS does true testing and he does reviews, big difference. Plus the vids we all watch are edited so more shots are taken than we see. We like watching these reviews because of the new shiny. Even extensive testing like MGS (appreciated as it is) wouldn’t change my mind without a fitting . Information from parties mentioned and others are awesome to have access to so we can try to get the best set possible for everyone’s personal needs. Even if one brand is clearly the best (unrealistic of course) there’s always someone who prefers another because performance will be better. The comment made about Rick Shiels was uncalled for, he does reviews. Don’t get on a high horse MGS, just keep up the good work and don’t worry about the reviewers.
  3. I have an F9 3 wood reshafted with a Mitsubishi Tensei CK Blue regular flex and it’s staying in my bag. My 5 wood is the PXG 0211 (fitted) and really like that one too. If I was to purchase a 7 wood I would probably go with the Callaway heaven wood after hitting one but I never hit the G425 and might someday.

I have Ben Hogan clubs and they’re good and cheaper but are creeping up in price, so the sub70 looks more intriguing because their clubs get good ratings and are cheaper than Hogan. Would like to hear if Maltbie’s compare.
  5. Wife and I have been doing this for a year and a half, definitely worth it. Get educated on nutrition and find out what you’re really eating.
  6. I had one once, a Vokey about 25 years ago and I liked it but now my gap in the bag has shifted to the top end due to my age. I am comfortable using my 56, 52, and 48 degree wedges.
  7. Been playing Maxfli for over 30 years, good ball for the price.
  8. I have to agree, my F9 with a Mitsubishi Tensei CK Blue regular flex seems to be the perfect balance for me. Never was any good at hitting a 3 wood off the deck, until now.
  9. I have been fitted for the 0211 5 wood, haven't hit their irons. Diamana S 60 reg shaft worked well, like it as well as any 5 wood I've ever hit, pretty cheap too. Would like to try the 0211 DCs with the MMTs, store is less than 3 hours away so it still could happen.
  10. I game 48, 52, and 56 degree Ben Hogan equalizer wedges, the 56 being an equalizer 2. Graphite Recoil shafts. Love them and not as ridiculously prices as some of the OEMs.
  11. I use Maxfli tour or USoft, tour if they’re on sale. Maxfli’s QC was mentioned to be good right behind Titleist so I feel good about that. If I decide to upgrade it’ll be Pro V1s, but for now I’m happy with what I use.
  12. King Cobra F9, driver and 3 wood, reshafted with Mitsubishi Tensei CK Blue 60 regular flex shafts, PXG 0211 18 degree 5 wood, regular flex Diamana S60 shaft, Ben Hogan Edge irons, 4-PW, 2 degrees strong, regular flex Recoil shafts, Hogan , wedges, 48, 52, 56, regular flex Recoil shafts, Scotty Cameron Futura 5S putter, Garmin G80 range finder.
