  1. Everything you just posted, but substitute Paradym for TSR. The 10k is worth it for those 2-4 drives a round that were off. But when I tracked my Paradym with my GPS after an entire season, my average was 10 yards less than my old 425… the reason- more missed fairways. Landing in the rough canceled out the longest drives with the Paradym (and they were longer than with the 425). I will report back with my data after a season with the 10k. But I feel pretty confident in my hypothesis- that my season long average will be 10 yards longer… of course, I’m hoping for more. BTW: This may be anathema to most, but I actually missed the sound of my 425.
  2. Total failure with the Callaway TD 3 wood. I couldn’t hit it with the stock shaft, the Otto Phlex… nothing. Already sent it back to CPO for an 80% refund. Exchanged it for the Apex UW 17* after hitting the hell out of the 21*
  3. Hit the 10k with the Ping Alta shaft and had much better launch angle numbers. I was also consistently getting better ball speed numbers and it was spinning less than the Paradym. This may be my unicorn after all considering I have a negative attack angle- forgiving and low spin!
  4. I’ve always gone with Max drivers because I want the forgiveness- a ball that lands in the fairway has a much better chance of going further than one that lands in the rough. But with a negative or neutral AoA, I could benefit from low spin. Thank you Ping for providing the best of both worlds for me. I hit the 10k comparing it with the Ai Smoke Max and had better numbers because of the lower spin. I was also amazed to see the ball speed was faster with the Ping than the Callaway. My original session, I was unimpressed the the 10k, hitting it with the Hzrdus Red. The next time I used the Alta 55 and my numbers were perfect with higher ball speed. So back to Ping for me after owning a 425 and standard Paradym most recently. Looking forward to hitting more fairways. Considering the fact that the 425 has made it on the Most Wanted list, I would imagine the 430 10k will be in for a long run.
  5. The numbers for the Ping 10k and the Paradym Max Ai were very close. Yet, the Ai Max didn’t break the top 5- what a tight race. I saw that the Moi was 9k on the Ai Max and there’s a sliding weight? I want to hit both, but I would lead toward a sliding weight and 1k less moi going into the comparison.
  6. Played with the new UW for the first time- 3 rounds in Florida. Wow! I have the 21* and came back to order the 17* off the CPO- returning the TD Paradym 3 wood I got from them (taking a 20% hit, but still better than selling it on EBay with their fees) I hit the 3 wood terribly while the UW did everything I asked it to and then some. I mishit one awful off the toe and it still went 195. I averaged 218 yards with it- nice high draws. I got so confident with it that I aimed at a lake on the right side of a par 5 that dog legged around the water and it landed right where I wanted it on the edge of the water in the fairway. From what I’ve read the 17* has the distance of a 3 wood. Considering I averaged 220 with the Paradym TD 3, I’m confident the UW will be more than an able replacement. (I’m sure the 17 will get me more than 2 yards on average over the 21).
  7. I hit the 10K compared next to my Paradym. Not apples- I have the Hzrdus Silver in the Paradym and I tried the RDX Red in the 10K. My numbers were near identical- slight dispersion improvement with the Ping, but not enough to switch. The major difference for me was launch angle- I was able to get the Paradym in the 10-13 window more consistently (With my 101mph SS I believe that is optimal)- with the Ping I struggled to keep the launch in that window. I think I would like to try the 10K in a different shaft, but for now I like the Paradym's launch numbers. The shot that is way right was with the Paradym- I aimed that way. The shots up middle were with the 10K. I finally got one above 10 degrees launch with the 10k.
  8. Hacks playing the back tees- or at least people who hit it shorter than me and insist on playing from the tips.
  9. Doesn’t work on my laptop computer either- it’s not just my phone. Very odd.
  10. I’ve had my 5.2 since October, so not a real long time, but I came from an ER2v, so I am very accustomed to the feel of the face. I love the feel and still have the ER2v with a Midlock shaft as an alternative to the 5.2. On my third time out had 12 putts on the first nine- a number I’ve never came close to before. Since I got it I played around 12 rounds (it’s winter where I live and snow is on the ground). My average down to 32 putts around from 34; small sample size, but an improvement never the less. I really see an improvement with the forgiveness over the blade. The biggest improvement was within 10 feet- the square angles and duo two-tone silver and black make the putter very easy for me to aim despite my left eye dominance and right handiness. Of course take this all with a grain of salt as I am a bit of fan boy of Evnroll, but why putt with a Scotty when you can take advantage of the True Roll face? I really think the grooves make a big difference- especially on lag putts. There are some long ones that I know I put a poor strke on em and they end closer than I deserved. The Scotty won’t do that. My 2 cents…
  11. Went directly from my browser and still happening.
  12. Every time I try and look at my notification I get the spinny wheel and I can’t see them. Anyone else having this problem? help
  13. Trimmed just shy of an inch and the adapter fits perfect. Will trim the butt end tomorrow after the epoxy cures. I’m very excited for this set-up. The low spin Triple Diamond with the Otto Phlex- I used to launch the Ping too high and it ballooned. I will report back.
  14. Doing some winter tinkering. I have a Graffalloy PL Blue that I had in a Driver and want to move it to my 3 wood. I want to tip trim it because that worked great in an Evenflow Riptide CB in another 3 wood I had (Ping 410). This one is going in a Paradym TD 3. I trimmed about an inch off the Evenflow and was thinking I’d do the same for the Graffalloy. Anyone do the same- tip trim their Graffalloy for a fairway wood? Any thoughts in general?
  15. Go to for years was Seemore- I always had one as either my primary or alternate for years. Now, I’m an Evnroll man. Tried and true go to since I did something with an Evnroll that I never did in a lifetime of golf- had 12 putts in 9 holes with my EV5.2 Duo. So go to for now….

    • FOR SALE

Mint Condition Callaway Apex / Pro CF19 Combo Set (3 Iron, 5-7 Apex 19, 8-PW Apex Pro). The set makeup includes upgraded Nippon N.S.PRO 850GH Neo Stiff shafts. All irons are standard length with a lie angle that is 2 degrees flat (red). I had iron covers on these throughout the time I’ve owned them (enduring ridicule from many a playing partner), which has kept the heads in Mint condition. The grips still have plenty of life in them. There is no 4 iron. I am including a 3 iron, that I use as a Driving Iron. The 3 iron is bent to 18 degrees and is great for chipping out from under a tree or it serves well off the tee as a driving iron. The grips are Golf Pride Tour Velvet Align with the Callaway Chevron- they still have a lot of life left in them. I would also include the gap wedge for an additional charge of $75. Any questions, please ask.

    $525

  19. I haven’t updated in a while and I was able to get a lot of golf in late in the season in NJ. The conditions were cool and wet and I can’t say how much I enjoyed hitting my 101T’s. The added forgiveness and turf interaction led to some great scoring in tough conditions. The wider soles and turf interaction made hitting off wet turf very easy. My last round (definitively) was a 78 on New Years Eve day. Looking forward to having these in the bag all season once the snow melts.
  20. Just curious: will Titleist lest us know for sure what ball it was that we tested? The consensus seems to be that it’s a new AVX, but it would be cool to know for sure.
  21. I was lucky enough to get the opportunity at a second testing with the Takomo 101t’s that ended up in my bag. What a great community! I would love to test the Triple Diamond against my standard Paradym. I have that nagging feeling it might be a better fit for me. Don’t you all hate that feeling? Only one way to find out. If a Triple Diamond becomes available- I would love to give it a go and get rid of that nagging feeling.
  22. As a long time fan of Evnroll putters, I noticed that the milling in my EV5.2 seems more pronounced than in previous iterations. I have the ER2v and had the ER5v and the milling wasn’t as noticeable- more of a smooth look. Anyone else notice this? Wondering why Evnroll changed the milling?
