I bought a used Newport 2.5 and tried to register it on the Titleist website. However, like the photos attached, it turned out that the serial number (2524543) belonged to Monterey 2012. Is there any way to explain this discordance between the shaft and putter head? Is there any chance that the fake putter head was attached to the real shaft of Monterey?
