  1. I just updated my main post with my fitting experience and first impressions. Please check it out.
  2. It definitely is. I am coming from a face balanced putter that I would try and use a straight back straight through stroke. My Fitting showed I was actually coming slightly outside to in with my putter. The slant neck on the Edel gives it a decent amount of toe hang which allows me to use a more natural arc stroke without trying to guide the putter into position.
  3. I have been a mallet guy for at least 10 years now. This one is a bit smaller than the ones I have used in recent years, but I love the look of it. I can't wait to get it out on the course on Friday!
  4. I just got back from my 1st practice session with the F-3 and have a couple of quick observations. 1st off, I am already a believer in the Edel alignment fitting philosophy. In the past I have dabbled with using the line on the ball for putting when I was struggling with alignment. I never stuck with it, because I would line up the line, but once I stood over the ball with my putter in place it always looked to my eye like I was aiming way left of my target. With the fitted Edel Array F-3, I lined up the ball and when I addressed the ball with the putter it looked like I was pointed exactly at my target. 2nd, this is beautifully crafted putter. Every thing about this putter screams quality to me. I'll leave a few teaser pics here while I work on my unboxing post.
  5. I just saw on the ring that the UPS guy just dropped off a golf club shaped box. I'm not expecting any other clubs, so hopefully this is it!
  6. Nothing yet, just patiently waiting. I am going to be playing in Tennessee next weekend, so hopefully they show up this week.
  7. I usually just throw worn out balls away. I figure if I've hit it so much that its worn out then I got my moneys worth out of it.
  8. I manged 3 birdies on my 1st round of the year, 15 more to go!
  9. I crack balls all the time on my simulator, I've never had one crack just on the inside though. I probably should rotate them like you do, but I tend to play the same ball all the time. I'd estimate I crack a ball every 3 or 4 rounds. Softer balls seem to crack faster than firmer balls.
  10. I'd take the tickets. I know my game is not good enough for Augusta.
  11. I played my 1st round of the year last night. My watch only gives me total putts per round, so I decided to start tracking some more in depth numbers in preperation for this review. I'll be interested to see how the numbers look after I get a few rounds under my belt.
  12. I played my 1st round of the year after work last night and played great. I was a bit concerned as I have been making some swing changes in recent weeks through my GolfTec lessons and my simulator results have been hit or miss. They still have the tees forward, so I wouldn't consider it an official round but I managed a 2 over 72 which is phenomenal for me. Especially for the 1st time out!
  13. Our greens just opened yesterday, so I am ready to start testing!
  14. I use a Bushnell V5 Slope range finder and a Garmin S70 watch. I like the accuracy of the range finder on approach shots and the shot tracking data the watch provides.
  15. Very nice article. Global Golf and 2nd Swing are where I buy most of my golf clubs. There are some great deals to be had.
  16. I am generally a mid-size pistol grip guy, which they didn't have as an option. I decided to go all in on the Edel philosophy and went with the round standard grip. I am very interested to see how I get on with it, but I have a spare Golf Pride Tour SNSR grip just in case.
  17. It does not take me long at all. The greens on my home course are fairly slow, but I play once a week with my dad and at his course the greens are as fast as I play all year. As long as I can spend a few minutes on the practice green before the round I can adjust to the speed most of the time. I am going from an insert putter to a milled face putter, so it will be an adjustment but I don't expect it will be a problem.
  18. I found a deal on a used Dark Speed LS and had some store credit burning a hole in my virtual pocket, so I pulled the trigger.
  19. I rolled a few more with the F-3 after my lesson at GolfTec this weekend. I can't wait to get this putter in hand so I can start testing.
