  1. I walked another 9 after work yesterday and had my worst putting performance with the F-3 to date. Still, I made a 16' and 9' putt and also a 5' comebacker after I ran a 25' putt past the hole. I three putted twice which was a bit of a shock to the system as I have only had a couple of 3 putts in total before yesterday with this putter. The first one was the one that really bothered me, I left a 22' putt 4' short and then tugged that one left. The other three putt was from 50'. My distance was actually good on this one, but I misread the putt and pushed it causing it to end up 5' right of the hole, which I missed. I've been fairly automatic on these shorter putts, but it caught up with me this time.
  2. I didn't get to see most of this years Masters. Unfortunately Paramount+ only let you see the CBS coverage on Thursday and Friday if you have the basic plan. They make you upgrade to their premium package to see the weekend coverage. Peacock does not do this with the NBC coverage. I ended up listening to most of it on my SiriusXM app while working out in the yard.
  3. My answer is simply yes. I love burgers and eat them more than I probably should. I'm not even sure I have a favorite, I will dress them differently at home. Sometimes ketchup and mustard, sometimes bbq sauce, sometime mayo with either of those, usually pickles and onions if we have them, NEVER TOMATOES, but always american cheese if it's an option. At a restaurant, I will often order the royal burger (the one with a fried egg on top) if they have it on the menu.
  4. I walked 9 holes again tonight at my home course. I putted really good once again. I made putts from 12', 9', and 5'. I also had a 38' uphill put that I lagged to 18". I did have a 3 putt on the last hole from 63'. It was a complete mishit on my part. I took such a long backstroke that I actually hit the putt with a descending blow causing the ball to pop up in the air before it started rolling. The ball ended up 9' short and I burned the edge of the hole. That was the only putt I missed inside of 10' all night. While I never want to 3 putt, from that far away I'm ok with it. Since it was the end of the round, I rolled the putt again after we finished the hole and rolled it up to 3', so I still feel good about the lag putting work I did last Friday.
  5. The F-3 is definitely staying in my bag. I have never been more confident standing over a putt than I am with the Edel. I really think it is more due to the fitting than the actual putter itself. I really liked my old gamer and putted well with it most of the time, but knowing that I am lined up correctly has removed a lot of indecision that I would have with my previous putter.
  6. I played yesterday with my Dad's group. This course has much faster greens that my home course, but I play here several times a year so I knew that going in. I spent some time on the practice green to dial in the pace and my lag putting was excellent all day. I made putts from 18' and 15', and only missed 1 putt from inside of 10'. This was a scramble format again, but this time I was putting last so I got to see a couple of putts before I putted. I'm walking 9 after work at my home course tonight, hopefully I can readjust to the slower greens as quickly as I did the faster greens yesterday.
  7. Just an update , I just played this course for the 1st time this year. After the gps located the course and I selected it I got a new map downloaded prompt on the watch. I am happy to report that they updated the mapping correctly, so I didn't have to repeatedly change the hole I was on.
  8. My scramble yesterday did not go as planned. I was the new guy in my group, so they had me putting first. I was burning edges all day, but didn't make one putt. One of the guys in my group did comment on how I hit the ball where I was aiming every time, which reaffirmed the feeling I had on my Friday round. It was just one of those days where you feel like your hitting good putts, but nothing is dropping. Such is golf.
  9. I walked 9 holes this afternoon in very windy conditions. I only managed 3 GIR, but the Edel Array F-3 putter I'm testing bailed me out time and time again. I ended up with a 2 over 37 which is a great score for me on the back even in good conditions.
  10. I walked 9 holes after work tonight. It was one of the best putting rounds I can remember. The only thing thing I can could critique is I still haven't gotten my lag putting where I'd like it to be. I stayed and worked on lag putting for 30 minutes after the round, and felt I made some progress. I made putts from 16 feet, 6 feet and 9 feet. I also had a 38 foot putt that hit off of the flagstick. It still had some pace on it, so I don't think it would have went in if I had pulled the flag, but it was uphill and dead center so you never know. The only putt I missed inside of 10 feet was an 8 footer that I under read the break on. I had 13 putts in all with no 3-putts. I also didn't have any putts that didn't start on my intended line. I'm playing in a scramble tomorrow, so hopefully the F-3 stays hot!
  11. I don't get real flashy with my golf bag and I have a mixture of brands when it comes to my woods, so I have some aftermarket headcovers so everything would match.
  12. I use a glove for every shot thats not a putt. My dad is a non glove guy, but I could never do it.
  13. I didn't notice any twisting, I could just feel that I had hit it towards the toe.
  14. The reason I am assuming the Edel tool is longer is because of the location of the screw under the alignment plate, the other branded tools I have would not reach them. Here is a picture of the screws you need to get to to remove the alingment plate and face. I'm guessing this only applies to the mallets as these parts are not removeable on the blade.
  15. I didn't get an Edel tool either, but any standard driver tool you have should work. It is a torx 25 bit which is fairly universal at this point. I have Taylormade, Cobra, and Titleist tools and they will all work.
  16. I didn't thing about it until after I had made the post, but I left the 25 gram weights in the head when I weighed it. So the face is actually 49 grams heavier than the body with the weights removed. I suppose this makes sense considering the face is carbon steel and the body is aluminum.
  17. I'm a bit of a tinkerer and this is the kind of thing that happens when I have extra time on my hands. One thing to note, the Edel torque tool must be longer than other brands, because none of the wrenches I had would reach the screws underneath the alignment aid. Another thing i found interesting is there was only one gram difference between the face and the body of the putter head.
  18. I only tried the big numbers setting once on my S70. As I recall, I just had front, middle, back numbers and I lost the fairway layout which is a key feature that I liked on the Garmin over my old watch. I changed it back immediately.
  19. Even though it was a beautiful day yesterday, the course was closed from all the rain we got Sunday night. I spent an about hour on the practice green working with the F-3. I set up 6 balls from 6 feet surrounding the hole. I just did a quick read on each putt without bothering to line up the ball. I made 2 out of 6. I then set them up again, but this time I spent more time reading them and using the line on the ball. This time I made 5 out of 6 which I will take every time. This was a rediculous 40 foot put that is downhill with probably a 3 foot break at the end. My 1st attempt was perfet pace. The 2nd putt it felt like I toed it a bit, so it came up short. It wasn't a terrible putt, but it left me 4 foot downhill slider that was less than ideal. All in all, it was a very positive day on the practice green. I can't wait to get back on the course and see how the Edel works under pressure.
  20. It rained here this weekend, so I was stuck indoors yet again. I did some comparison putting with my Bloodline Vale. My launch monitor doesn't give me a lot of stats for putting, so I was mainly just looking at ball speed and side angle numbers. The numbers don't look massively different, but the Edel was definitely more consistent in both categories, especially the ball speed. I was making a 15 foot stroke and was a bit surprised that my ball speed went up with the Bloodline considering it has an insert. I then set up a 15 foot putt on my indoor putting green. These are the type of results I like to see with my misses all being just past the hole, but still in kick in range.
  21. I have a Uneekor QED. I like the overhead design because it makes it much easier when my lefty friends are over. I also love the accuracy on chipping and putting for simulator rounds.
  22. When I used shotscope I felt that the manual putting was much more accurate than using the sensor.
  23. 1. The Masters 2. US Open 3. British Open 4. PGA Championship
  24. It's been cold here this week, so I've been playing on the simulator. I use a Uneekor QED for my simulator which has slow motion replay of the clubhead at impact. I have been consistently hitting the center of the clubface with the F-3. I think the slant neck is allowing me to make a more natural stroke. With my face balanced putter I was using a straight back straight through stroke that I felt I needed to guide to keep the clubhead on that path. I would even stop my stroke sometimes on the backswing when I felt the putter going back offline. I have not had that happen once with the Edel, it is a much more fluid motion.
  25. I just got the QI10 Max and I am really impressed so far. I always shied away from "max" drivers in the past because they usually have draw bias built in and I tend to have a low left miss. I've only got 1 round outside and a couple of rounds on the simulator, but I am hitting consistent nice high fades and loving it.
