record1010's Achievements

  1. My problem with the del mar was actually that it was to soft. It took me a few rounds to get used to it. I believe the second and third rounds I played with it I actually purposely hit it off the toe so I could get some feel from it.
  2. I had the same putter in my bag for over 10 years. Just switched last year to a Del Mar.
  3. Have used a Special Select Scotty Del Mar for 2 years. Before that I had an odyssey #9 in the bag for 10 years. Just really like the head shape of these putters.
  4. I joined mostly because I’m a golf junky and love the ball testing. Kind of would like a bit more tour talk, but there is lots of other places to get that
  5. I use a ping hoofer lite. Am 39 now and used a ping carry bag since an L8 when I was 14. Love how ping bags have always been two separate straps so it’s still comfortable too carry only using one strap. Plus always been light with great storage.
  6. Pinehurst #2 The ocean Course kiawah island Harbour Town Bethpage Black Eagles Nest TPC Sawgrass Bay Hill Streamsong red/blue Big Win Island Kawartha G and CC
  7. Heritage club is my favourite in myrtle. Cheap and a super cool layout. Plus all the dead bodies buried on the course is cool and creapy.
  8. I was at Streamsong while black was being built so did not get to play it. Does not compare to Bandon really though, nowhere really does though lol. Resort is super nice and the rooms are big and nice. But yes as LICC said you are stuck at the resort, closest town is half hour away if i remember correctly as someone in our group had to go out for aloe vera. Golf courses are still great though and worth the trip. When we went we started at Bay Hill for a night and round then headed to streamsong. You will not be dissapointed. My only problem was with the pro shop prices, if i remember correctley they actually charged $10 over msrp for Pro V1s.
  9. Not sure about rental clubs as i live within a few hours of the Muskoka's, but Taboo is very good value. On the pricey end is Muskoka Bay. One of the hardest couses in Canada but amazing views and an unbelievable course. If you can get on as im pretty sure its private BigWin island is amazing.
  10. I totally understand where you are coming from. I look for deals on bye and sell sites just so i can resell them myself to upgrade my own bag. Pulled some crazy deals this winter so i could get a basically new scotty cameron special select del mar. Think i bought 4 different putters and this one only ended up costing me about $60 out of pocket.
  11. I just switched from an old Odyssey white ice #9 that I had in the bag for 12 years to a Scotty Cameron Special Select del mar. Same head style but I think I may go back to the odyssey. Just don’t have the confidence over the ball And it’s such a different feel. Any thoughts anyone?
  12. My dad forced me to play golf right handed when I was a kid because of club availability. At one point in the junior days I did switch to lefty for a year as until recently I was always a terrible putter. At that time I putted just as bad lefty as right. Every other sport I played was left though baseball, hockey and lacrosse.
