  • Interests
My interests historically have been team sports. I love running after someone with the ball or running away from people when I have the ball. I always try to better my skills in any sport I play. Coming into golf, I found the competitive drive rekindled as I work to improve my abilities in all aspects of the game. Outside of sports, I tend towards technological interests such as photography and building computer hardware

  1. Hi Divergent Digital I have gotten back into golf a few years ago and needed to build everything back up again I wanted to have the full collection of equipment at the time - Here are some things, I realized when I look back I was able to play a lot of golf and learn to hit a lot of shots with just a set of irons I paid to get fit so I knew what type and size of club suited me and then I used that information to go hunting for second hand clubs The irons I used for the last 2 years were 7-8 years old but it let me experience the game for low cost - Nobody cared that my clubs were old but were supportive while I learned to hit the ball I suggest starting with irons - Generally irons are reduced just after new models are released so a great time to buy recent clubs I bought a hybrid, which allowed me to hit off the tee and the fairways and is very forgiving. My hybrid is cheap and cheerful but it moves the ball I would find it hard to suggest brands as it is very subjective - I have Taylormade Sim 2 Max irons - Very nice and high launch so I can get the ball in the air fairly easily I have a carry bag so I dont need a trolley. Get a towel for cleaning clubs during a round as a clean club will let you hit the ball better everytime Best of luck - I hope this helps
  2. Hi @GolfSpy_TCU Depending where you are staying, there is a ton of courses around for you to play For me, it depends on the level of course difficulty aswell. The lower half of the country has some beautiful courses on the coast with varying levels of difficulty The NLU crew did a great job of sampling some of the better, and affordable, courses and some of the entertainment If you want to challenge yourself, Lehinch is the 3rd hardest course in Ireland.
