  1. If having a little tongue in cheek fun upon the backs of our Canadian neighbors during these smokey days gives cause for a post being deleted that's a little much for me, call me crazy. Mods, I guess signing out is the only option on my end, and I will do so, but if you can close this account on your end that would be appreciated. See ya, MT.
  2. Air quality at 306 in the big hand with surrounding waters at the moment, worst in the world.
  3. Not sure how the numerical levels work but as I understand at higher to highest levels, like a 294 for example, the number equates to cigarette use per hour of exposure. For example, one hour outdoors, say 294 for example, is equal to inhaling .70 of one cigarette, something like that. Crazy stuff...
  4. From an owners perspective perhaps, if it's the only range around town why would the owner change out a few damaged balls when more than likely the damaged ball will be hit anyway, picked up at the end of the day, maybe washed, and placed back into another bucket and rented the next day to another golfer, maybe even the same person, for another day at the range- rinse and repeat 7 days per week. As for price, someone has to pay the rent, might as well be the customer. But it is nice to have good rental products for the customers...no doubt.
  5. Thanks to Canada it's pretty bad in the big mitten too. Yesterday morning stepped outside to tend to something and I couldn't believe it, I actually could smell the smoke from our Northern neighbors. It's nuts I say, nuts! Here is a Southfield MI tower cam, and the picture really doesn't give the best indicator of the crappy quality. An indoors day for many....yuck!
  6. Good to stay home for this one, or bring an O2 tank with you. Here's Southfield this morning, and the view doesn't really capture how crappy the air is here. Yesterday was bizarro!
  7. Mike is more a meat and potatoes approach without excess gravy clogging up the arteries. Tipping the club upside down for feel is something Watson did more than a few times during a round to keep smooth leading the parade.
  8. Just play to play. Get around as you already know how, then have a round of umbrella drinks to pat yourself on the back. Love me a little McHatton here: did you finish because you hit it good, or did you hit it good because you finished.
  9. What is this "HQ"? I've seen it mentioned before, is it a brick and mortar somewhere, or like a cloud somewhere...
  10. She's doing some nice things up to the point of striking the ball. If you are ever stuck for ideas that should be fun for her while also challenging her by bringing basic motor skill learning to her front door, whether she realizes it or not, send me a PM.
  11. Sounds more like an arm pin instead of a forearm pin, and yes those hips and arms are tricky little devils. A quality transition can have a pin but that attribute is a matter of degree and time, in other words, how much for how long. That's when the pivot has the ultimate say in the matter.
  12. Wow! that's quite a stretch of heat. Now I know why Arizona wants to siphon water from our Great Lakes...it's ours, no dice, you can't have it..
  13. Assuming a forearm pinned to chest is a bad thing not sure how that can be accomplished without seeing it.
  14. The grips look good and now you're all set to play in a fog. They look nice and tacky too, more tack = more smack.
  15. Too humid to play, so worked for about an hour on some things I do when sensing weight transfer and shaft pressure are not holding up their end of the bargain by becoming distant cousins. With ball below feet, and working shots from that lie, hitting into a fuller finish usually finds those two rascals returning back to brother and sister status.
  16. A lot to digest might be an understatement, and for some too much to even consider, count me keeping warm near the latter campground fire. Many folks have a general idea of what is meant by horizontal hinge release, especially the yellow book disciples, but I have no doubt @Wildthing will be with you shortly as he loves this kind of stuff.
  17. Not sure what kind running you're talking about, or even if you're medicating the scare, and am not considering costs, but would combining walking/carrying bag substitute for running. I believe you might be able to kill two birds with one stone.
  18. Not sure if the above is a circular argument but if it is that's fine as it's a circular game, but I think a number does affect how we act. If a person is asked to do a 5 foot standing broad jump comparing it to their a 1 inch standing broad jump there would be no doubt in my mind more knee flex would be needed to jump 5 feet, without be told to do so. What if we are forced to play a round with just a 4 degree putter, should the short par 5 now become a long par 8, perhaps it should. I think it all reduces to the game itself which is a game of acquiring real estate in rather precise increments and we tally up the end product using numbers and going home for Chinese food, but be careful and don't use Worcestershire sauce believing you're using soy sauce, save the puckering for the course. Interesting discussion though...
  19. Some would call it 'Miller Time', me I find solace in a meatloaf sandwich with lettuce and a cold glass of milk. Tomorrow is another day with a different sandwich.
  20. The sounds of little feet and the sight of big smiles is what its all about, and couldn't help but notice there is a natural plumb bobber in the family...Congrats!
  21. If you're a carrying walker it's all about weight, get rid of the scorecard, range finder, head covers, 4 clubs, bug sprays, extra this, extra that and be like the low on fuel airliner dumping weight to preserve fuel. The longer you walk and carry, especially the same track, the more the routine will become your routine. I'm guessing you have too many unneeded toys milling around for one.
  22. Reading glasses cleaned, bring it forth boys, but I'll review in stealth mode so my other Macs don't get upset.
  23. ...so unable to sign out. I was able to sign in by guessing where the tab was but no luck on sign out. The entire banner is white except for my avatar image.
  24. Interested in following this too, especially how the shoe may affect balance. We saw what you did there...
