I saw that OnCore was one of the brands that used the warehouse that burned in Taiwan. I’m not sure how much of their production came from there but their prices may go up. Callaway is another brand that will be affected.

I tested the OnCore ELIXR and I loved it! It gave me an additional 30 yards on my drives and more accuracy overall. It sounds hard to believe but I’m 3 dozen in and ordering more because it has changed my game. When I ran out I decided to use the Titleists (various versions) that I’ve found here and there on courses and have been given at tournaments in the goody bags and though I like everything about them, they just don’t measure up to the consistency of the ELIXRS. The weight distribution made a big difference in my game and I’m now a hardcore OnCore fan! Regarding shoes…still searching for the right fit. I wear my Sketcher sneaks more than my golf shoes right now. I’m not on here much anymore but enjoyed revisiting this thread. I’m hoping to get back soon. I look forward to hearing more from the other contributors.

Everything seemed to fall into place and the round went by so quickly. The greens were a little wet which slowed the speed of my putts and helped a great deal. I was on the par 5 11th in two strokes and ended up with a birdie! I can’t wait to get back out and let ‘em rip! I do need to redo my handicap as the last 5 or 6 rounds have been consistently better than normal. Lovin this game more and don’t know how that’s possible!

I’ve continued to use the ELIXRs and my distance has consistently stayed much longer than other balls! Love, love, love them!!

I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to check and reply to this for awhile but I just wanted to say that if there’s anyone else out there that feels like they’re in need going from rough to rough…you’re not alone. Of course, I’m talking about life, not golf. But the reason I’m posting this is because even though sometimes it feels like it’s never going to get better…it will. There will be that one shot that reminds you why you’re in it and helps you dig deep and keep going. I’m hoping that there are people in your life who are an encouragement if you are walking through deep waters. I was able to play a round of golf with my dad yesterday in the midst of my storm and I was reminded how many blessings I do have in life. Golf is only one of them but I love that it gives me a chance to disconnect and be refreshed. They were hard to get used to but they have changed my game and I hope you try them! I still have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that a ball can make such a difference but it’s true! Let us know what you think if you give them a try.

I’ve got my magnifying glass (well it’s an app on my phone) and my special sleuth hat and I am ready to go. For 59Club, I get to secretly spy on golf courses and write a review on my findings!! How cool is that?!? I’ve already done the virtual training and am about to embark on my trial. It may a little soon to write this as my trial will be sometime next week but I’m so excited I couldn’t wait to tell you about it. I get to take up to three friends and “must” (it will difficult) eat a meal before and after the round. I have to take pictures of two holes on the front and two on the back. The pictures and the grading scale are very specific. I also take pictures of the meals and evaluate them as well. The pay is the free round of golf and two meals (including beverages). I can handle that! How cool is it that I’m a “MGSpy” who gets to SPY?!? I’d love to know if anyone else has had this experience and how it worked out for you! I’ll let you know how it goes and post some pictures from the journey…

Just found out about Meadows Farms Golf Course in Locust Grove, VA. Love the idea of a “warm up” hole. I also love the waterfall par 3 and…well, I’m not sure how I feel about the par 6 but it would definitely be a challenge!! Has anyone played this course? I’m thinking a road trip is in my future .

Great idea on growing a thread to a topic. There are things I’d like to discuss with the world of spies and then others that would be more comfortable on the woman’s forum. So amazing to have that option…thank you!!!

I’d love to have a section where women can talk about other stuff that may relate to golf or may not. Recipes, pictures, anecdotes, stories from life, etc. If this is captured in another way, please let me know. Not everyone who is part of the forum will be interested in this but I’m hoping a few will be. I love to read and cook and write and many other things and it would be fun to be able to interact with the other lady spies and find out what they do outside of golf that they might talk about while they’re playing.

That’s awesome! Don’t know how I missed this but there are some great courses in Lancaster and Lebanon area! One of my favorites is Lebanon Valley Golf Course. It’s got some amazing views and fun holes. I haven’t been there this year but it’s on my short list.

I love that you recently started playing AND play an Epic Max!! Your drives are amazing for someone who’s only played a short time. My goal is to walk 18 holes one day. I was sick for about 5 years and it changed everything about me. I’m better now and need to get busy living better. I’m sad that you have to walk but you have challenged me to…knowing that you were in a car accident and don’t let the dizziness stop you from enjoying the game.
