I just pulled an entire set of iron shafts using this method. I wanted to say thank you so much for sharing. Saved me $100s and let me save my graphite shafts time toss on eBay. i ended up melting the ferrule first and sliding it down under the brake spreader to use as a “padding” so I didn’t scratch the shafts as it was being pulled. Not sure if that makes sense but it helped.
