  1. Hoping I get selected for this test. I am really excited about this opportunity in particular!
  2. I use the fitting apps as a starting point, and then go from there based on my own "on course" experience and what I am looking for. I have largely fit myself throughout the bag, and thus far it has been great (though expensive). The Vokey Wedge fitting app is great though, and I use it to get grind and bounce starting points for myself. I am hoping to do the online fitting test with Titleist to see what they say compared to the app, and understand my wedge game a bit better though. Fingers crossed!

  4. About a month and a half ago, Will Peoples over at Peoples Golf sent me a KM-700 7i outfitted with an Axiom 105x, and after about 10 swings on the simulator, I was hooked. I frantically emailed him wanting to order a set, and we went to work thinking of how we might want them to turn out. He suggested I leave the design up to his team, and I thought that would be a great idea. I told him my favorite color, and 4 weeks later, these showed up. Absolutely stunning. but how about performance? find my review below: Looks: I don’t think an iron set should look this good. I mean, I don’t want to put a dent or scratch on these things. I put iron covers on them just to preserve the look and prevent bag chatter. SCORE: 10/10 Feel: The Miura feel is quite distinct among forged iron sets, as they offer a crisp butter feeling. This is my second set, and I must say, the KM-700s are a bit more buttery than my CB-302s. They are not quite as buttery as Srixon’s and not quite crisp as Mizuno’s, but rather something in between. I personally am addicted to the feel of these irons SCORE: 10/10 Performance: This is what surprised me the most Let me start off by saying I’m only an okay player. I’m a 15 handicap. My ball striking is decent, and I am actively working to get better via lessons and alot of range time. These irons are forgiving for being blades. More forgiving than I would have expected . Distance numbers for me are consistently 175-180. I can shape a shot on command. I do think the shafts play a big part in this though, as they are lighter than my previous gamers. All in all, these irons deliver on accuracy, forgiveness, and distance, especially for being a blade. They are still a blade though, so they do punish bad shots, which is to be expected SCORE: 9/10 Conclusion: I could not be more happy with this set of irons. For those on the fence, take the leap. And work with a builder like Peoples Golf to ensure they are built to your exact specs. SCORE: 10/10
  5. Nothing is ever safe!!!! I constantly question all my clubs and wonder if I would get better performance elsewhere. That being said, I did just pick up a set of Miura KM-700s, thus I am trying to sell my CB's. The GT lineup from Titleist is super tempting. So I will check those out.
  6. That’s fantastic. I talked with Mike for a little while. Really nice guy. Will have to give it a go with the km700 head
  7. I would absolutely agree. Unfortunately I don’t live close enough to a place where I can try them. I was able to test the axiom 105x shaft out and I loved it. But I historically into 115-120 gram shafts the best. my real curiosity is more around the basic characteristics of the shaft, and if it fits a more aggressive swing more often than not or otherwise. I am a moderate tempo golf. Some early release. Slight pause at the top
  8. I always carry a bag of beer and seltzers with me to all public courses, as I have never been questioned, and prefer certain beers to the ones they have at the course. Though, Most recently I have been making bloody maries for early tee times and lavender gin and tonics with extra lime for mid day tee times! a fantastic drink. 1 can of fever tree tonic 2-4oz of gin 3-4 splashes of lavender bitters a big squirt of lime juice ( either a whole lime, or 2 second squeeze of lime juice from the bottle) t
  9. I am seriously thinking about getting a full set of the LA Golf L series shafts in 120x though I would love some feedback. what are peoples thoughts? to add, please post your thoughts regardless, though it would be helpful for me to hear thoughts from people who jive with modus 120x, oban 115x, project x LZ shafts, etc. Looking for consensus here! (including the putter shafts!)
  10. Cut Line: +3 Tigers Score: +5 misses the cut
  11. I tend to Sky the ball, which makes me think: A: I’m too steep B: the driver is too long C : shaft issue?
  12. You’re certainly right about that. I spin mine with a 1k white 6x about 2800 and I’d like to get that down to 2k. Would help me go from 280 drives to 300
  13. smart call. I cannot tell you how pissed I am that my beautiful TSR3 has all these little scratches on it. I usually take my headcover off and dont put it back on for a round. my mistake.
  14. One thing I have noticed is that the Gloss scratches and takes on bag chatter VERY easily. the top of my TSR3 looks like someone's child was scribbling with a razor all over the top, and that makes me upset hahaha. But I do prefer the glossy look. Just might need some sort of protective film or coating to protect it
  15. Well, I told myself the TSR series would be my last purchase for awhile. that my bag was not going to change for at least 2 seasons. Then I tested out Miura KM700's with Axiom shafts. Have a set on the way.. then Titleist drops these beauties on me... Needless to say, I think they are beautiful. Moving the weight forward with the GT3 could be the thing that steers me away from that driver, as I prefer the higher MOI in the TSR3. As a 16 handicap, but with a 117 mph speed, the TSR3 has kept my drives long and straight, even on misshits. I fear that might not be the case with the GT3.. time will tell.
  16. That would make sense. I am excited to see how ZX7's stack up against T150's. I am a Miura player, but those two irons are always on my radar

  18. Every year I look forward to the iron buyers guide!!! I hope there are some Miura’s being tested along with all OEMs. I’m always curious how they stack up. that being said, I’m ready to see the guide! Can we expect it soon?
  19. Apologies for the bad quality! I would’ve given a better background for posting!
  20. I recently had the opportunity to test the Axiom 105x, set to D2 in a Miura KM700 7i. Here are my thoughts: Look: First of all, these shafts look amazing. the black matte stands out from the typical metal shine you typically see. When I went to my local golf sim bar, everyone wanted to check out the club and hit it. The fact that the KM700 is probably the most beautiful looking head probably had something to do with this, though I was surprised at how many people commented on the shaft! Feel: I was skeptical about this shaft when I first received it. I typically play a modus 120x/oban ct 115x, and had this pre-conceived notion that a shaft in the 105 gram range would be too light. I played with a modus 105 S for a season, and while that shaft is fantastic, I just pulled it left too often. After spending half a season changing shafts and trying to narrow it down, I realized that shafts in the 115-120 range are a good fit for me, and with my swing profile, the modus 120x and oban ct 115x just fit. I love the feel of those shafts and everything about them. They are simply fantastic, and have helped me hit some of my best shots to date. fast forward to receiving this 7 iron, and WOW!!! It was love at first swing. I could feel the head throughout my swing, and the load on the shaft perfectly. This thing is STABLE, even at this weight. When Fujikara stated they are able to seperate weight from flex, I didnt know exactly what they meant until I swung this bad boy. the feel is definitely one of the best feels from a shaft I have had. To add onto that, I could still feel my miss-hits and where on the face those were. Feedback still exists. Performance: I swing my 7 Iron on average around 92-95mph, and I was able to produce some of my best ball speed numbers with this shaft. It promotes a mid trajectory, mid spin flight, which I prefer. What surprised me the most is that I was able to hit a variety of shots with ease. I didnt feel like I had to muscle a shot, but rather just swing and promote the flight that I desired. I contribute that to the weight and build, as the swing weight fits me quite well. This shaft paired with the heavier Muira head is a good fit. I have recently run into some troubles with my iron swing, thus when I need to pull back and hit 25-50% shots to get back to some level of consistency, I was able to do so, and surprisingly didnt pull the ball, as I typically do when I hit half shots. The stability of this shaft is nuts. A much different experience from the typical Iron shafts I hit. Overall: At 30 years old, with a very fast swing speed, I never thought I would be a candidate for graphite iron shafts. The Fujikara Axiom has proved me wrong. To put this into color, After that night at the golf sim bar, I reach out to my builder, Peoples Golf, and immediately ordered a set of the KM700's with the Axiom 105x shaft, built D2-D4 with my grip and ferrule of choice. I am now waiting for this build to come in, and I could not be more pumped. This shaft simply performs. My only complaint is I wish it came in a 115 gram shaft weight. That would be my end game shaft most likely. That being said, I am still curious about the performance of the 125x. unfortunately I do not have a fitter close by with that shaft in their cart, thus I cannot go and test. Though, based on everything I have heard, they to play quite a bit heavier, and are very stable. Score: 9.2/10 Note: I have docked the score due to lack of additional shaft weights. They really need to add a 115 option us in between folks who just dont quite fit in the 105 or 125 range. That being said, this was a good enough fit for me that I didn't think twice about it. Maybe I was a 105 gram guy all along, the swing weight was just off on my previous set.. Let me know your thoughts! Thank you!
  21. I've been eying a LAB putter for years now. Just cant get around pulling the trigger on the price, when my Scotty works well enough. Maybe I'll change my mind once I play Pinehurst or Cabot Farms though! Really want to take one of these bad boys for a spin.
