  1. TaylorMade TP5x Pix I've been playing this ball for a couple of months combining the end of last season and the start of this season. To be honest, I like this ball for the price and the ease in which I can pick it up via Amazon. That being said, I've listed an honest review as a higher handicap player. Distance I don't see a distance drop off when playing this vs. a Titlist ProV1 ball. I hit my driver 250 carry. I get the expected carry but I see that i get a little more roll out from this ball in the fairway. (Same Distance) Trajectory - high, mid, low Mid trajectory. No issues with how the ball performs right off the club face. Spin Hop & stop - high spin but not coming back 5 feet The main reason I have played this ball is how it performs for me on the green. I can play the yardage to the flag or my aimpoint and know that it will likely be the spot it stops as I don't see the high spin that would pull the ball back, but its steady enough that i get very little roll out if any. Feel - firm, crunchy, soft, mushy To me it feels soft. Durability (1 round) - like new, scuffed but payable, rough shape Here's the major downside of this ball. It is pretty easy to scuff. After a round, its usually scuffed but playable. If i have to hit it more than a couple of times out of the sand, its in rough shape. So it really depends on your accuracy, but overall, this is where i see the other premium balls outperform it. Rating Casual - would play again if given or found As a high handicapper, i rarely finish a round with the same ball (if ever). I like the distance and spin this ball provides and visually i like it as i can identify it easily and line it up for tee shots and putting without having to draw my own lines. The major downside is the durability of the cover. A lower handicap golfer likely wont see this issue as much, but after i've skipped once off the cart path, or clipped a tree, or had to hit a out of the bunker a few times, i need a new ball as it will be beyond usable.
  2. How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? Been playing for about 15 years. I tracked my index for the first time last year and finished at a 15. Usually shoot in the low 90s with a couple occasional high 80s scores, playing on courses at around 6500 yards. What do you love about golf? I enjoy being outdoors and how humbling this game can be. Pros make it look so easy, but the first time you pick up a club and try to hit, you realize just how difficult it is. I love the feeling of flushing an iron, hitting an approach close, and the click of the ball hitting the bottom of the cup. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? I was looking for a good review on some clubs and came across this forum. I don't know any other spies at the moment. Where are you from? What is your home course? I am from the Chicago area and currently play The Preserve @ Oak Meadows the most during the season. But I jump around to many of the courses through the Chicago suburbs. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? The best is how easy it seems for courses to grow and recover the grass. The worst is how short the golf season is. April - October but the first and last months are iffy at best and you can have some seriously cold rounds. What do you do for a living? I manage a small lab for a printing company in the area. How’d you pick your user name? Its a combo of my first and last name.
  3. With 2 week lead time, only one up there that can currently meet that is Sub 70. By buddy just got a putter from them and he loves it.
  4. I’ve always had a mixed bag. But it’s getting progressively better with more higher quality brands in the past few seasons. I’m currently in the market for a 3W to help bridge a distance gap.
