On Friday, I played solo from our senior tees.  On the par 5 hole #1, I chipped in for eagle from the fringe.  Hole #2 is a short, drivable par 4 and I chipped in again for eagle from the fringe.  Two holes and 4 under par.  Something I had never done before, having two eagles in one round.  I made the turn at -2 and birdied the par 5 10th hole.  Hole #11 is a short, easy par 4 with water in front of the green.  A hybrid off the tee left me 61 yards from the pin, with wind at my back.  I decided to play the shot at 55 yards and hope the wind didn't push it too far.  I thought I made good contact but the ball hit short and went in the water.  Not to be deterred, I dropped another ball and had the same results.  I carded a snowman 8 and gave back my strokes under par.  My ending score was a 76, but I was still excited about starting with 2 eagles.

Good Friday morning, fellow golfers!  Another golf day which means I will be playing 3 days in a row.  It may be related to global warming, but this is the best February that I remember.  I hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend.

Good Sunday funday to you MGS Troops! Windy as hell here in Cheyenne Wyoming. 50mph gusts again. No golf for me today. I’m going to spend some time with the spousal unit and our daughter and her new fiancée! Yep there was a request for our daughter’s hand, a proposal, and an acceptance last night! I found out this had been planned for months. I had a feeling it was😉!  A dad knows! This is something good after such a sad tragedy for us. Zoey’s fiancée is on the University of Wyoming’s swim team

and three of her teammates were killed in that car crash on Thursday. https://www.foxnews.com/sports/wyoming-swim-team-members-killed-crash-identified-heartsick
Anyway, a fantastic evening last night! And the first night in the last couple of nights I actually slept. Oh, almost forgot!!! Finished my test of the Callaway balls. Check it out!!!
I hope you enjoy the review and maybe check out Callaway golf balls. These new ones are pretty good. Happy Birdie Hunting!!!

I rarely buy current year new clubs.  With eBay, FB Marketplace, the Classified section of this forum, etc, it is relatively easy to find used clubs in mint or like new condition.  It is considerably less expensive to purchase used clubs versus the current year models.  The key is to know exactly what you want and then begin your search.  Like any online shopping, be wary, but using a service such as PayPal for your purchase adds protection against fraudulent sellers.  I recently purchased a Scotty Cameron putter in like new condition and saved $150 compared to the new retail price.

Good Thursday morning, golfers!  It is golf day here in SW MO and the weatherman says a high of 65°.  I will have light layers and plan on finishing my round in shorts, which as I have probably mentioned before, is unusual for February.

    Good Morning!!
Feeling a bit better today.. l slept 2 and 3 hours in a row vs waking up every 1 hour the past few nights 🤦‍♂️ ..sheesh...
I dunno got plenty of fresh air and outdoor exercise (like a puppy or a little kid 😂) so I "should've" (quote-unquote) slept well but who knows ....
Anyway have a conference call coming up with my wife (a teacher) - she's actually starting to say the Big "R" word out loud and a benefits specialist gives them info and answers questions.
Have a great and Happy TGIF all!!

Absolutely into buying used clubs, bought my driver "used" and it still had the plastic on from CPO. Have even bought an "average" rate club from CPO and it was pretty good, couple skymarks but doesn't bother me.

Even though I play a Taylormade driver , their claims from year to year is. “ another 10 yards” . Eventually, even an idiot can realize that we aren’t hitting our drivers 300 yard yet ( well most of us normal folk)! So now everyone (OEMs)has now bowed out of the distance arena and entered into the forgiveness fad . What I am getting at if we focused more on hitting better shots , putting , improving our short game and the basic fundamentals of the swing , you would probably be surprised at how little the new and improved toys have little effect on you!
