  1. Well, I’ll say that’s a good start!! I’m ashamed to admit how many putters are kicking around my house (and now my son’s house)!! I will say that the L.A.B. MEZZ.1 MAX has really tamed my ‘wandering eye!’ But, my pro did just get a Jailbird Cruiser in and I pick it up every time I’m in the shop!! The thing is sweet!
  2. This topic has made me laugh. When my father passed away in 1996. We found shoeboxes full of tees in the garage (along with garbage cans full of found balls!). Many of the tees had cracks in them … Me - ‘Why did dad save these?’ Brother - ‘For a par 3 … duh!’ Like many, I haven’t bought a tee in years and used the same Martini Tee for 200+ rounds last year until it somehow disappeared?!?
  3. ^^^^^^^^ +++ on this!! I have never been a fan of Callaway balls, but after attending a ball fitting, I am sold. Even a slow swinger like me picked up a large amount of ball speed!!
  4. I have several pairs and they are GREAT!! Comfortable and very lightweight.
  5. I’m a Titleist guy through and through, but I picked up a Smoke Ai Max driver and was instantly drawn to it. It’s been a pleasant surprise … so far … the best Callaway driver of the past several years IMO. The Triple Diamond is a grown man’s club … too much club for this old coot!!
  6. Not a purchase, but my pro signed me up for a Callaway ball fitting at our local Top Golf. I got fit into the new Chrome Tour 24. I’m an old guy and I picked up 10 mph in ball speed and more spin around the greens. The hats were an added bonus!! Anxious to get these on the course.
  7. Many, many sets from the 60’s and 70’s had ‘10’ irons … I’m not sure what ‘traditional golf terminology’ is being referred to?
  8. How long until they get hit with a ‘cease and desist’ from SC?
  9. That’s a knockoff TM Burner model. I think the ‘B’ was some kind of wedge. As the image above suggests, very limited value.
  10. Don’t be afraid to put the lead tape on the bottom of the putter head. Just make sure you burnish it in to make it smooth. Several of the pros at my club have covered the entire bottom of their putter head with lead tape.
  11. I used the ChipR off and on last summer and found it lacking. It worked well for straightforward pitches, but was a bit inconsistent for me (even with practice!). In the end, I decided it wasn’t worth giving up a club for and it got relegated to the garage! It might come out of probation someday!! Good luck with yours and keep us posted.
  12. Well, I’m now on board. I found a gently used L.A.B. Mezz.1 (with headcover) while on a trip to Myrtle Beach. It was cut down to 32” with a Super Stroke grip. I lengthened it to 33.5” (making sure the lie angle didn’t change appreciably) and put the stock Press 1.5 grip on it. I rolled the Max Custom version and liked its stability, but I prefer the feel of the original. It’s a solid putter and I am a convert. While on the practice green today, one of the tour pros at my club had just received a few and was testing. L.A.B.’s success on tour is earning a lot of converts!!
  13. This is an interesting discussion (I confess I didn’t read all 35 pages!), but I wonder how many people (including the tour pros railing against the proposal) have actually taken the time to read the position paper? The manufacturers could change the ball to comply with the new standard and 99% of golfers would never know!!
