  1. I picked up a Garmin G80 Approach. Good on the range for distances and club speed and the GPS is great fro the course. Graphics are pretty good for the price of the unit. I picked it up for A$650, about US$430, which is close to what a good GPS alone costs.
  2. I've just picked up a Garmin Approach G80. haven't had a chance to use it yet, that will be tomorrow.
  3. We have two courses so if I'm playing off the 10th tee of the north course I'll leave home about 25 minutes before my tee time. That gives me time to get some chipping practice in and a few stretches. It helps living 200 meters from the tee though.
  4. I've been using the same Scotty Cameron Santa Fe for the past 20+ years. Have never changed it. If I'm putting poorly it the six inches between my ears that's the problem, not my putter. Actually putting pretty good at the moment. I have been thinking about getting another putter as I play on two courses with different speed greens, so maybe using a different putter for each course might help.
  5. None, I use them all equally. My club has 36 holes so whilst I may not use ll the clubs on one course I use them all over the 2 courses. Took me a while to get my club setup right. Dropped my hybrid for a 4th wedge (54 deg) then my 3W for a 5th wedge (50 deg) over the space of a couple of years. I couldn't hit my hybrid that well and once I upgraded my irons it only went as far as my 4 iron. I use my 2 iron off the tee so I rarely used my 3W, so it made sense to take it out and replace it with a scoring club.
  6. 26 deg C / 79 Deg F here in sunny Melbourne, Australia.
  7. That's a pretty big gap to cover with 3 wedges. I like to hit full shots into greens so I'd rather be wedge heavy than top heavy. My approx. distances are: 60 deg 75 m / 82 y 54 deg 85 m / 93 y 50 deg 95 m / 104 y GW 105 m / 115 y PW 117 m / 128 y I'm playing off 10 at the moment but my downfall is concentration. I like my gaping because i can generally go for the pin. Sometimes I will be a bit long, sometimes short, but I should be putting most of the time, except for the bad mises I have a few time a game.
  8. My PW is 43 deg and my GW is 47 deg. I also have a 50, 54 and 60 Vokeys. This gives me around 10 meter gaping. I should probably get the 50 and 54 weakened by a deg but I'm not really good enough to appreciate the difference it would make to my short irons.
  9. I'm straight up Titleist everything. All my clubs, bag, ball and Footjoy shoes. I can't see myself changing any time soon.
