  1. I’m in for these towels & other golf related tools.
  2. I retired recently, and I’ve walked using my electric push cart all but a handful of the 63 18-hole rounds that I’ve played so far this year. I live in Colorado and my home course is designed for walking. The past 2-weeks has been hot with temps >95 degrees, but the majority of our golf season is <80 degrees. When walking I stay hydrated and add electrolytes to my water to help prevent fatigue & muscle cramping. I believe I play better walking than riding a cart. My favorite golf rounds are played with 4 walkers. The flow of the round is better and by the time I get to ball I’m usually not waiting for the group in front of me to clear out of the way. In competitive rounds, I think it’s unfair for walkers to compete with cart riders. In my golf club, it’s become obvious to me that the majority of cart riders, if forced to walk, couldn’t compete with the majority of walkers. There’s a reason why the NCAA & PGA don’t allow players to ride a cart during competition as it potentially gives riders an unfair advantage. It’s understandable for golfers to ride carts if you’re physical condition prevents you from walking, however, I see way to many younger golfers riding carts instead of walking. I believe it takes a commitment to get in shape enough to walk golf courses and would love to see golfers capable of walking to walk instead of riding golf carts.
  3. I look forward to MGS learning about new golf equipment and all things related to golf by reading the many reviews from our forum member testing. Now that I’m retired, I’ll have more time to respond to forum questions, provide feedback, and maybe participate in new product testing if asked to. MGS is the only forum that I follow and have no reason to look elsewhere as this forum gives me everything and more than I expected. I often tell my fellow golfers about MGS and the feedback from them is also very positive. Thank you MGS for all that you do for us!
  4. I use the same golf glove until it gets a tear or hole in it.
  5. During the summer, I’ll play the same ball until it gets scuffed, scratched and or have been played >2-3 rounds. During winter play, I’ll play balls that are imperfect until I loose them or get tired of them and put them in my used golf ball bucket.
  6. My pre round routine includes stretching for 45-60 minutes. Starting with my neck, shoulders, wrists, upper & lower back, waist, thighs, calves, and ankles/feet. I’m 64 years old and walk each round, so I’ve made stretching a must before playing to feel ready to hit the course and give myself the best chance to play to my full potential. Once I arrive at the course, I putt for 10 minutes, chip around for 10 minutes, and full swing for 20-30 minutes.
  7. Yes, I walk my home course, TPC Colorado virtually every time I play. I’m a founding member since 2017. The walk is an average of 16000 steps, so approximately 8 miles. I use my Bat Caddy battery powered golf bag cart and play with other walkers 4-5 days/week when the course is playable.
