  1. What Oakley frame is that? I have some Oakley frames for my prescription glasses but they are no longer made.
  2. I wear my regular progressive glasses without the transitions coloring I have in my other glasses, I can't track the ball anymore in sunglasses for some reason. I used to wear Oakley sunglasses back in the day when I wore contacts, but not in years.
  3. $420 + tax and shipping because that is how much is would cost me to build the custom version of the Scotty Scheffler Spider Tour, maybe not exact color scheme but same version. I haven't bought this because I am very happy with my current Tri Hot 5K blade putter that I purchased from Callaway second hand, but in true club hoe fashion I want to build and try it.
  4. I really want to buy the Scotty Scheffler putter without trying it, I have a problem.
  5. I have played in knickers a couple of times in Scotland. Made sense since the weather wasn't always great, not so much where I play in the states.
  6. Sounds about right, played Wolf Creek twice, I can't remember how many balls I lost on that course. Not my favorite down there maybe because my first experience was 115deg and almost 6 hour round due to idiots in front of us, this was in the first summer when they were open. The person that booked our tee times booked for10am or so, way too hot in summer to be teeing off then.
  7. I always wear a glove, always. I never take it off to chip or putt. That being said, if it is really hot and I start sweating through my glove, I will swap it out and put another one on and let the one dry. I never even notice I have it on. This only happens in summer when it is hot and humid occasionally, I don't sweat a lot usually unless they have watered the crap out of the course and it is really humid first thing in the morning. Kirkland gloves 4 for like $23 works for me. I also use rain gloves on the occasion I play in the rain unless my hands start getting cold.
  8. Bought this driver 2 years ago, really hit it well, ordered direct from Callaway in my specs , got it, played it, first round I was like nope, not working outdoors for me. Returned to Callaway, they finally gave me a credit for full amount, turned around and ordered Rogue ST Max LS in my specs and was very happy from the start. The TD was nice, but I didn't perform with it.
  9. IMO worse is wearing headphones, they can't hear emergency sirens coming or other sounds pertinent to driving a car.
  10. I have seen plenty of people wear a hoodie with the hood over their head and ears when playing, temp in mid 40s and wind blowing 20mph. I have done it, pull it up over my hat to cover my ears. I am usually wearing a FJ wind 1/4 zip pullover with it to block the wind. I prefer soft comfort and no wind. Good chance I am wearing jeans that day as well. We are talking March, April, maybe May, October, November, December in Colorado. Rest of the time I am wearing shorts and a collared golf shirt as I run warm, prefer not to play in jeans, but when it is cold, I have no issues with them. As a 60yo man, I don't really care what people wear as long as they aren't dicking around on the course. I actually prefer a hood on my rain jacket so I can pull it up over my hat and keep the rain off my glasses and hat. I like hoods on my outerwear.
  11. I was with you until you said Greg Norman brand, ugh!
  12. Callaway Rogue st max ls with Tensei Blue 60gm stiff is still my gamer, I have really liked this driver and been consistent and long with it. That being said, there are several new drivers I want to try this year including Black Ops, Callaway AI Smoke, Ping G430(ugh turbulators) Cobra Darkspeed, TM Qi10 etc. Looking for forgiving low spin driver that is long and straight, the unicorn driver. But I can't even test anything until I heal from back fusion surgery and may not even try to get fit for a new driver until I am fully healed and have some back flexibility again, maybe next year.
  13. GP Tour Velvet Align midsize on irons and driver. GP Tour Velvet 360 on wedges, hybrid, and fairway woods, standard 2 wraps. I prefer a very rougher more abrasive grip as well, I don't like spongy soft grips on my clubs, I really don't like tour wrap style grips.
  14. Same in Colorado, especially on the western side when weather is nasty or could turn nasty meaning early spring late fall. I even saw a guy playing in denim farmer coveralls with a long sleeve farmer work shirt at Devils Thumb in Delta, didn't bother me one bit, was probably a local.
  15. Exactly, plus I have to wear a belt with a tucked in shirt, with my shirt untucked, no belt, depending on the shorts I am wearing.
  16. With no dress code, what next, human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria... Relax Francis, as long as they keep up, repair ballmarks and divots, what they wear doesn't really concern me.
  17. The worst feeling putter for me is any putter with a metal face. I prefer putters with a soft insert. Everytime I try a milled or unmilled face putter, I hate it, they all feel too hard/harsh. Some Wilson putter I bought years ago was the worst I ever felt, also tried some Toulons and didn't care for them.
  18. I like Sky Mountain, fun course to play. Last year this time of year all these courses were waterlogged when we tripped to Mesquite and St. George for golf, I think we got one full round in on that trip.
  19. TM sent me a free 4 pack of each ball model, 2 pix 2 regular, I won't be able to test for a couple of months as I am coming off of back surgery, but I am interested in the X for sure.
  20. Personally, I don't miss any of the Liv players. I haven't watched liv and I won't. I enjoy the current PGA tour and new faces along with DP, Champions and LPGA even college golf. If Liv were to completely take over, I would stop watching PGA. Good riddance to those money grubbers with no morals, don't miss them. And for those saying PGA tour has lack of star power, remember Koepka and the rest were nobody's before winning on PGA tour. Koepka played on Asian tour and wasn't even one of the best players on his college team. Anyone can become a star if they start winning.
  21. I think some of these guys are in CYA mode just in case they decide to join Liv at some point. If they stink on the PGA tour, they can run to liv and take the money. At some point Liv will probably want to dump Wolff and will be looking for another replacement.
  22. Bushnell rangefinder, ShotScope V3 and X5, not all that happy with the X5, first one would just quit working in the middle of the round, thought battery was dead but when I plugged it in, plenty of power and it started working, did it three times, they sent me a replacement but haven't used it yet. If I am playing in a cart with GPS, I will always use that. One thing nice about having a GPS watch is if I end up in a cart path only situation, I can use the watch when I am not near a cart or cart path. Too many courses don't have clear markers anymore for distance.
  23. I always tee up or down in this case from the tee box. The only club that I have a tall tee for is my driver, any other club I tee up is set just above the grass so that I don't get any grass between my clubface and ball. Some courses that have short par 3s from the tees I play really allow me to spin the ball from a tee.
  24. I have a pair of FJ's with BOA, they don't seem to get tight enough for me. I have seen some models of golf shoes with 2 BOA tighteners per shoe on them, and it seems like they would tighten up better, but I haven't tried them yet. Most recent purchase of shoes were laced UA and laced Calloway both with replaceable spikes for a trip to Ireland. I do find I slip when wet in my spikeless shoes and I will see how my spiked shoes work in what could be wet Ireland golf in June.
