  1. The 3 HL Stealth I have is very easy to hit. But I agree youre best off getting an adjustable 3, a 16.5 degree 4, or an adjustable 5
  2. Less expensive option is this as a driver replacement. Its long and low spinning. https://www.ebay.com/itm/266737369623
  3. Grabbed this Srixon 7 wood from Callaway preowned and while its long, it has a much smaller head than expected. Much smaller than my GBB 7wood. However, It seems to be about 5 yards longer. Came with a riptide shaft for $90. Not sure if it will replace the Great Big Bertha just based on the smaller face but havent mishit it yet and it looks awesome squaring up behind the ball.
  4. Reminds me of the Teardrop putters of yesteryear. Super clean
  5. These two are my favorites at the moment. My new PRGR Silverblade short slant mid-mallet And My Sizemore SB-2 with the UST freq Filtered putter shaft I had to put my other putters in a different location so I dont keep swapping them around just because. Just these two, this season. Give me strength. Both have a 80 G counterbalance weight. PRGR is just a weight installed in the top of the shaft and covered w grip and the Sizemore has the SS counterbalance. The feel on the SB-2 is amazing but I love the shape of mid-mallets like the PRGR, or Toulon Atlanta and some Scotties especially with a short slant and Im more consistent with that one by a little on short putts. Also a fan of the lesser known and uncommon
  6. Today I got a special delivery from Japan. I love this shape and the short slant with mid mallet is my fav type of putter. I found this on Golf Partner on ebay for $80 shipped which is a crazy deal for this putter. I never ordered from Japan on Ebay but to my surprise, it arrived 3 days later and with a perfect magnetic headcover, club head in plastic still. This seller is going to be getting a lot of my business as I love Japanese obscure stuff. The putter face is Aluminum milled and the body is carbon steel. Very soft, very balanced. Goin right into the bag.
  7. Without question. Honma is as good or better than most OEMS. Check out some reviews. https://www.golfmonthly.com/reviews/drivers/honma-tr20-440-driver-review The Vizard shafts are excellent but play a little softer than typical shafts due to the mid bend point on most and often are sub 50 grams typical japanese spec. So a stiff is more like a r+ and a reg flex is like a soft regular. This actually works very well for mid speed and the build the shafts to match the heads as a pair. each driver shaft is spine aligned and their adjustments keeps the shaft in the same place retaining the spine. It really is a hugely overlooked company in america. Other Honma drivers to look at is the Tw GS Speed and TW XP-1 as well as the TR20 460 all same price range. I personally played the XP-1 for a year and also have the hybrid. Entire line from woods to irons are phenomenal for a very clean GI setup. The xp-1 is very forgiving an aimed towards moderate swing speeds. Mild draw bias. Super clean. You can get them for $100 mint and The retail was $600 https://www.ebay.com/itm/196295915232 Also gets great reviews specifically for moderate speed players But the Honma driver I want is the tw757. Waiting for the head to go for $100 as theyre still pricey. Longer than the Stealth 2 https://www.golfmonthly.com/reviews/drivers/honma-tw757-s-driver-review I also play this 3 wood because I was able to buy the head for $45 and its one of my fav 3 woods of all time. https://golfersauthority.com/honma-tr21-fairway-big-lb-review/ I also use the TR21x as my 5 iron and I believe it is superior to the p790s If youre looking for a bargain with all the tech and wish to keep it classy, Honma is the best deal out right now with the heavy discounts.
  8. I got two new 2023 Wilson Staff Wedges for 160 and retail was the same as this model. Give wilson 6 months and the value will drop 50%. Some of the softest feeling wedges I ever played tho. Even the Dynapower woods and hybrids are around $100 now.
  9. Honma makes a great 440 cc head you can get for next to nothing as their made for USA stock is being sold for like 80% off. Honma TR20 440 The TSi4 head is 435 cc
  10. Same here man. I actually just sold my Ping G425 and went back to the EXS pro because I just hit it better and more consistently. Shaft is Ventus Red TR S flex Other Driver I use is the Adams Idea from 2023 with Hazrdus Black Hand crafted 6.0 I cant seem to decide from these two but I tend to get less spin with the EXS Pro so Ill probably lean towards that.
  11. Been meaning to follow up. How are the Royal Chorded grips holding up and how do you like them? I have the MMT matte black shafts that I think they would look great on.
  12. You can heat up .355 ferrules with a heat gun or hot water and fit them onto .370 shafts. Or you can use a drill bit of that diameter, or wrap sandpaper on a drill bit a lil smaller and give it a pass. Its not a big to do
  13. Yeah its still a great deal and DG shafts play stiff so if you have a reg flex, youre probably fine as is. With steel shafts, pulls dont degrade performance or anything. Nothing to worry about really
  14. My latest project came to a finish today. The Sizemore SB Putter head I obtained is fully assembled and a few rounds on it. I came across this UST Frequency Filtered Putter shaft that is supposed to enhance feel and figured Id try it for the $40 https://www.yourprogolfshop.com/ust-mamiya-frequency-filtered-putter-shaft Slight difference, not significant as I was using a DG s300 shaft and the putter felt nice with that, but when you hit it in the sweet spot of the putter with the UST shaft, it feels amazing. I guess it does work as far as more precise feedback. Grabbed a SS Pistol grip from golfworks because it had no white spot on it which annoys me about Superstroke putter grips. And while I was at it, I grabbed a 75G putter SS counterweight to go with it. Overall, Im loving the Sizemore putter and I found the biggest improvement was adding that 75g counterweight really steadied my stoke. If you havent tried it, def worth the $10 to give it a go And the second new thing is this 2nd Gen PXG hybrid... I always liked the look of this guy and have been trying to find a 5 hybrid to knock my beaten up Exotics exs220 out the bag. I played it today and I gotta say, I think this one will be in the bag. Shaft I used is a Prolaunch red I had on an Adams hybrid, repurposed. Got the head and nice magnetic HC for $45.
  15. I dunno if Im buggin out but they I see all jpx900s and then the gap wedge. Awesome clubs though. Looks like they applied heat and the two with red stripe ferrules are shaft pulls. Are they all the same shaft?
  16. The E8 is right there on the bottom right. Its a 16.5. Its an awesome wood for sure with the same perfect head shape used on the Xj1 and exs220 but the cog is closer to the face, making it less forgiving than the high moi models but not as low spin as the CBX/CB but a solid in the middle good for everything club.
  17. For tips and lessons I stick with one guy and thats sagutogolf For reviews I like Playthrough and crossfield and just watching I like Stacked golf
  18. I got a Jones 3 way top I use when walking but I always miss my Sun Mountain c130 14 way top whenever I use that. A cheap 14 way top with out dividers top to bottom is a pain. Sun Mountain, Ping and Callaway get the 14 way top right Everything in its place
  19. The longest 3w is the CB pro then cbx but considering Im a little less consistent with them, Id say the exs220 15* overall but I like how the EXS series squares up behind the ball the most and those two are neck and neck in playability but the 220 seems to have a second gear when you pure it. Easiest to hit is the XJ1 with no question but I get lots of loft so I cant really use it on windy days but in the summer, thats my fav. The XCJ6 beta is a great club, all around. I gotta say, I was a big fan of the original EXS series of drivers and the EXS Pro I still play sometimes but they are hit and miss with their drivers. The E723 won most forgiving so theyre getting some love. Also, I am a fan of the exs 220 5 hybrid. Ive tried to replace it with king tec, pxg, Ping, and honma but that hybrid is special. They have a problem with aesthetics and sound in their older drivers and current putters. For instance, the Hot Launch line. Great performers, horrible finish and look like cheap clubs. Horrible name. Bring back Exotics line and then Tour Edge. But Irons, Im with you guys The wingman wedges do look promising but I probably wouldnt get them over Vokeys. But the old Exotics milled putters that were limited prototypes....those are not bad at all and I use this guy once in a while still.
  20. Just wanted to make sure I didnt forget to show I have an issue with Exotics Fairway woods.
  21. The M2 is a solid fw for sure but what it is, is a redesigned adams blue. It is longer than the adams and has the cf top however. For a strong lofted say 15* FW, I have tried a bunch and it seems to be the lowerprofile, high moi in the far back and lowest cog results pretty much every time in an easy to launch fw. I suggest the Exotics current E722, E723 and my current gamer is the Exotics exs 220. Another sleeper is the previous version of the Adams Tight Lies that came out 3 years ago. They have a very tall face and very low COG and while they may be a few yards from lower spin woods and look very plain, but they are some of the most forgiving fw I ever hit. The 3 wood is a 16 degree which also helps and you can find them for under $50 new these days. But to me Exotics just seem to be my preference. However, the Honma Big LB is a large size 14 degree 3 wood that is also very easy to hit and very long, but still not as easy to launch off the deck as a 16* Edit: Forgot to say that the most forgiving fairway wood I ever used is the Exotics xj1 and the 3w comes in 15 and 17. I have the 5w in 18 but if you can find one, never found a more consistent club
  22. Id say mess around with the settings as I find the SIM2 stuff to be up to par with the stealth series. Havent tried the v2. But if its just a bad vibe thing, you can of course trade in. I had a driver I hated the look of cus of a scratch or skymark that wasnt mentioned in the listing. Hated looking down to that and it wasnt an easy fix. In that case the vibe just had to go
  23. The 2 in 1 golf bags like this? https://www.amazon.com/sspa/click?ie=UTF8&spc=MTo1MDM3MzY0NjkwNzc4MDY2OjE3MDk4NDA1MDg6c3BfZGV0YWlsX3RoZW1hdGljOjMwMDE0Njk1MTg0NzUwMjo6Ojo&url=%2Fdp%2FB08Z3498FT%2Fref%3Dsspa_dk_detail_1%3Fpsc%3D1%26pd_rd_i%3DB08Z3498FT%26pd_rd_w%3DutFKw%26content-id%3Damzn1.sym.386c274b-4bfe-4421-9052-a1a56db557ab%26pf_rd_p%3D386c274b-4bfe-4421-9052-a1a56db557ab%26pf_rd_r%3DH9NQ0KHB67E0K2ZFCAKV%26pd_rd_wg%3DteySb%26pd_rd_r%3Dfe32cb2f-13da-4a0f-996c-eca0ae532e96%26s%3Dsporting-goods%26sp_csd%3Dd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9kZXRhaWxfdGhlbWF0aWM or https://www.amazon.com/MACGREGOR-Tourney-Removable-Carry-Silver/dp/B08R3VSGZT/ref=sr_1_6?crid=GUFY2WPRPD6W&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.AZ-m2V3cFCBuZUoOQss9BzjSjvaom2vOTVJ3X0rNryLPISJcbD8lqhpk23KK8dH6iu5rloYG_fQIKwF9av12Xb2UVuUaNuRtGPrLGGr2qxdGtkxy7QgLhd0t1_Bhh6vJIdVvnk5ZFviViGZmYXFhABTe2nDbjHubAslZIcQwF5rYilwwUBEQ5aycYScQ38An5yR_B9P8Yk3xtppZkkyTBP2XmqeXEaa34h26DuwRPgi2FuHMUmshljgAlMs5XLmS4RLJQcVR95qu1q-EfJPkrbiBFMGY_g6AM6uJ5gMNldo.KCeRu-YHPjEdWd8EeVRWC_gFKL46NVM0DyHg7W51x84&dib_tag=se&keywords=golf%2Bbag%2B2%2Bin%2B1&qid=1709840435&sprefix=golf%2Bbag%2B2%2Bin%2B1%2Caps%2C179&sr=8-6&th=1 For $99 the Mcgregor seems like a deal
  24. I have always been curious how people organize their clubs in the bag.
  25. I suggest the Honma xp-1. Its a phenomenal driver with a great shaft that went from $600 to around $100 on ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/196275816711 Very forgiving Other Great options are The Tour Edge Exotics EXS and EXS 220 drivers, Wilson Staff D9 and the PXG 0211. Right in that range Also the Epic Speed https://www.ebay.com/itm/305362105593
