What Have You Bought Lately? (CHA - Club Ho's Anonymous)
richk9holes replied to hckymeyer's topic in The Daily
It's called G-Paint. From what I've seen it's available in 2 packages, each with 4 colors. Black, red, white, blue is what I got. Did my putter on July 4th weekend. -

I've been accused of being cuckoo in a number of occasions usually involving breakfast cereal. It's like water off a duck's back at this point. See a theme developing? -
After seeing the competitors in the Cobra Challenge wield their 3D printed DLT-face wands around I'd put those on a list I'd want to try.

Watch out for the Silverbacks. Best way to deal with them, like Mike Tyson says "punch em in the snot box" -

Gave the sub70 wedge a paint job like I did to my Jaws full toe, Jet Black all over to match my vokey. -
I just noticed these for the 1st time, I'll go ahead and say I'm intrigued to try one of the 009 mini in a single bend graphite shaft.

Calling all possible alternates! Did you miss out on the Forum Match Play Event team formations, but still have interest in being a part of the event? Team Net Birdie is actively recruiting potential fill-ins in the case we need to fill a score. Let me know if you want to join the team! -
Date 08/16/2023 Course Name Princeton CC Gross Score 92 Course Handicap 16 Gross Strokes over/under par 22 Net Score to Par 6 Net Score 76 Net Birdies or better 4 Longest Drive 255 Had 4 net birdies in the 1st 10 holes to score right around my expectations in spite of 20 putts on the front 9. The back 9 was opposite day. Sank 3 long(ish) putts and the rest 2 putt. After playing 1-12 with the same ball, I found OB on my tee shot on 13, approach on 14, and drive on 17. Finished 43-49 in spite of 9/14 fw 5/18 gir 35 putts. Similar stats to the round I scored mid 80s earlier in the week. Finding inventive ways to remain a bogey golfer.

@Ben Joest beat me to it, but yes that goes for my team as well. Reverse everything advised by Team Questionable Judgement. -
Yeah there's a Ping G 5w that drew my eye

My 48° wedge comes tomorrow, allegedly based on UPS email. I am thinking about it being 7° bounce. I am pre-conceiving a notion that it will gap too closely to my 52/10°. I also have a pre-conceived notion that I dislike low bounce wedges. There's a high chance it gets bent 2° weak to 50/9° and replaces my 52° rather than being inserted as a 4th wedge. That would allow me to carry the 913 f2 5w I bought on a whim from the golf galaxy a few weeks back, which currently doesn't have a home.

Update on my team @Golf2Much @GolfSpy TCB Thanks for organizing this! @WillRowland is confirmed. I need confirmation from @justinakin92 and @March If either of them is not joining, I have secured @MaxEntropy as an alternate. To clarify, please confirm you are able to join the match play event which will entail getting at least 1 round (of 18 holes, 9 holes at a time is allowed but must be played in the same match week) each week starting September 1. -

@MaxEntropy @buckpillar Have either of you found a team? Care to join up? (In the case of Max, I think is 1st or 2nd alternate now. I'm assuming we'll have more people bow out.) -
Date 08/14/2023 Course Name Bey Lea GC Gross Score 87 Course Handicap 10 Gross Strokes over/under par 16 Net Score to Par 6 Net Score 77 Net Birdies or better 4 Longest Drive 260 46-41 for 87 from the forward tees. 9/14 fw, 5/18 gir, 32 putts. Lots of positives to take away besides the score. Played 14 of the holes like I would like. Unfortunately the 1st 4 holes included 3 double bogeys and I drove it in a lake on 16 leading to triple bogey.

Just got back from playing 18. This thread took off quick! I gotta get a team fielded, who wants in? -
I have used these 3 this season, 95% the Sik dw 2.0 c slant neck. I will say that the Hogan Sovereign wood/bronze face balanced is always consistent in use and I've yet to miss from inside 4' with it. I can't leave a $400 club on the side to use a $25 bargain bin find to give it extended use. The Ping Wack E I keep on my wall as artwork. I could go play a round comfortably with it any time, though I have to be conscious of the large flanges dragging into the green and causing some awkward attempts.

Twisted Metal on Peacock is a fun adventure romp that lands squarely with my demographic. I grew up playing the video game and find reminiscent humor throughout. There's a sneaky amount of material to explore, future dystopia lends itself to a long evolving story. I hope they make a bunch of seasons.
