I got the new shot scope x5, after buying (and returning) the previous version a couple years ago. Too much editing was required post-round. The new version got a favorable write-up here, so I took the plunge. Through two rounds at my club, it’s missed a total of 18 shots! I played 9 this mornings a local muni in gps only mode. I had to manually change holes. Maybe that’s the deal if you don’t do gps plus scoring? I have enjoyed the wrist gps vs, rangefinder though, so I may keep it for that alone and just pass on the scoring function, and hope that a firmware update down the road helps. I’ve looked through trouble shooting etc to no avail.

Thanks - I’m not on fb or insta or anything like that, but thanks anyway. I’m looking for an app that will do the same for iPhone photos.

We had three of the grandkids here for a sleepover last night, so the coffee is extra good this morning! Supposed to be around 50 today, so may try and get in a quick nine! @sirchunksalot, hope you drive better than I probably will today!

MSG (or anyone else), for those that mark their ball with an alignment line, is the any evidence to suggest where the optimal place is to draw that line? Otherwise, one green dot of either side of Titleist.

Starting to warm up here in Cbus. Gonna walk the dogs and later on make some pasta with hot Italian sausage and parm/ reggiano / garlic for dinner. Three my back out fixing fence posts a couple weeks ago so no swinging of the cubs lately- till yesterday. Went to the club and chipped some and hit some short wedges. Felt good to be out there, but the 25-40 mph winds made things interesting!

For driver fitting specifically, what’s the better option: indoors on a simulator or outdoors with a launch monitor? Advantage to indoors is you can use a new make/model of your ball of choice, but you don’t get “real weather” results. Outdoors, you are in the real world, but probably hitting old range balls. Anyone’s thoughts would be appreciated.

Sub70 JB 52* wedge. Just ordered the ShotScope X5, with hopes that it doesn’t miss as many shots as the V3 I tried.

Richk9holes, not to be stupid, but I’ve often wondered if choking down would accomplish the same thing with having to cut the shaft? Have you tried that?
