  1. Played Esmeralda in Spokane yesterday. Finally left to driver in my truck so I wasn’t tempted to hit it since it hasn’t been working out lately. Ended up shooting a 103 (slowly bringing the handicap down). Could have been better without make two 9’s (one on the front and one on the back). Only a few poor strikes this round.
  2. Played the Creek at Qualchan in Spokane today shot a personal best for the course 111. Had the ability to do better, however, penalties really hindered the score (again couldn’t tell myself to only hit irons). The course was in great shape. Greens were running fas. Looking forward to Esmeralda on Wednesday should be a nice bounce back round.
  3. Played Prairie Falls today shot a 103 (definitely could have been better). Lost a few balls OB the driver wasn’t wanting to behave and I couldn’t tell myself to leave it on the bag. Heading out to Qualchan on Monday.
  4. Yesterday I worked on dialing in the range of my wedges trying to figure out the proper gaping and consistency. With my swing change through lessons we adjusted my 3 wood and 3 hybrid (previously set up to counter my wicked slice). Looking forward to playing Prairie Falls in Post Falls this afternoon.
  5. I love to walk a course. We have two of the Spokane city courses that have some tough hills and make for a long day we tend to get a cart for those. Other than that we typically walk courses, unless it’s in the 90’s*
  6. Yeah I feel it’s one of the harder Spokane city courses. Getting revenge on a course is such a great feeling. Interesting that the nines were switched I wonder how that would change a round.
  7. Played Indian Canyon in Spokane today and finally broke 100. Played well, kept everything near the fairways. Only hit two OB. Need to work on consistency with the short game.
  8. Worked on ball positioning and keep the lead wrist pointed down to square the face during todays lesson. It really helped find 10 yards of distance and add a draw to my shot shape. Looking forward to hopefully replicating these results on the course tomorrow. Planning on short game practice for Thursday.
  9. Had a lesson working on long irons and driver. I’ve struggled with getting the 5 iron in the air consistently. Slowly getting the whole game put together.
  10. How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? I’ve been playing since 2006 when my high school buddies and I picked it up. I have a very high handicap around 41 typically scorning in the 100’s. I feel like my game is there just have a few blow ups that keep me from scoring well. What do you love about golf? I love getting outdoors and unwinding from work stress. Also the fact that players of all abilities are able to compete with their handicaps taken into count. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you know other spies? Getting into a group who enjoys the game and sharing ideas around equipment, courses, etc. I don’t think I know any current spies. Where are you from? What is your home course? I grew up in western Washington move to eastern Washington for college and never looked back. My home course is difficult to answer we have so many great courses in the greater Spokane area that I like to spend time at. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Beautiful courses and great weather to play them in would be the best thing. The worst thing is when the summer heats gets in the 100’s and the longish winters. What do you do for a living? I am an educator. How did you pick you username? Nothing special just my name.

  12. My new putter just arrived last week. I was using an Odyssey Dual Force Rossie 2 since late 2000’s. After a putter fitting at my local GolfTec I got myself into a White Hot Versa Twelve with stroke lab shaft and slightly thicker grip. Can’t wait to get out on the course.
