Date 09/21/2023 Course Name Patriot Golf Course Gross Score 90 Course Handicap 16 Gross Strokes over/under par 20 Net Score to Par 4 Net Score 74 Net Birdies or better 4 Longest Drive 190 VCT Match Play Designate as Week 3 Match Score The supintendant of my course, Patriot Golf Course, Hanscom AFB, Mass., has told me that the course has had 43 inches of rain since June 1st of this year. Yesterday was my 1st golf in nine days due to the wet weather. Aggravated by the high water table and poor drainage in the area. I am taking several days off from golf and will not be playing till the 29th of Sept. My Achilles is acting up and needs to be rested. During this period I will also take my Wife on a road trip to Maine to enjoy the foliage and a lobster or two.

Must have been about six years or two sets of clubs ago that I went to Club Champion for a driver fitting. I took the specs for the recommended club and had my local club pro build me a driver. I recently went back for a full bag fitting and found I only needed to upgrade eight clubs. They could not come up with a driver that beat my present one for distance and distribution. I’m still playing the same club. And I am actually hitting it further today than when I first tried it.

How long do you keep a pair of golf shoes?
WillRowland replied to JP Balajadia's topic in Breaking News and Debate
Hi, I play early mornings with heavy dew. And on normal days my home course is a bit on the wet side anyways. This obviously calls for water tight shoes. I am currently using three pairs (normally two) of Foot Joy Classic, spikeless. They are not “water proof” but are guaranteed to be “weather proof” for two years. Well, one pair came up short and started to leak after one year. I returned it to Foot Joy and received a replacement pair “no questions” asked!. Hence I am swapping out three pairs; brown, black & white. I play between 100 and 80 rounds a year and 85% of it is walking. -

What is a “net birdie”? Is that a par on a hole where you you would have received a stroke? -
The hardest shot in golf is the approach shot to the green. The greens keeper working on the green looked up and saw you waiting to hit. He moves to the edge of the green and waves you on. You’re thinking I’ve got this nailed. It’s only 120 yards to the green center! How can I miss? Well that great home made swing of yours just made a 70 yard worm burner!
