  1. Hahah looks linear at times but it’s been a long road and been way up and down at times.
  2. 4th Program update so @Hoyoymac doesn’t feel so alone haha - starting to find a new floor/plateau area. Tre’ Mullins recent post on instagram with a weighted ball protocol pre speed sessions definitely coincided with the jump. Bought 4 weighted balls on Amazon and doing TPI style holds/throws from both sides before the Stack session (along with some weighted jumps, plyos, band work). been adding in some more “special sessions” with on ball as well + some mechanics prior to sessions on the side coming into spring as swing is getting very long at times
  3. My father in law borrowed mine for a bit last summer and was floating around 87 CHS and got up to 95-97 e-speed relatively quickly at 61 years old. He was probably playing 90-92 CHS within 4 weeks or so on the course and strike, turn, and dispersion all significantly improved. He isn’t in the best shape and just got after it. I think if anything it may lengthen things out a bit slowly over time regarding the backswing. Fit For Golf has a ton of content and programs for all sorts of walks of life. Could find some basic programming with weights or body weight online, not sure what you are doing now. Anything more than normal is a step in the right direction. Basic hinge, push, pull exercises + some rotary or core would be a start. In the meantime (if you have the space or warmer location in the US) after a warmup, you could start blasting off 5-10 balls at the end of a session max speed and get your body starting to get used to accessing those muscles a bit pre Stack arrival.
  4. @edingc - may be worth looking into the flex program so you stay swinging a bit but shorter sessions to keep speed
  5. It’s such a fun ride. Previous speed maxes just start to become more effortless over time.
  6. New update on video library has been great! I had a crazy day the other day as well and set records at every weight + highest 195 set/swing ever. Good to have those every now and then after so long at a plateau
  7. @KJK76 I think some experience kind of a learning curve/increase in the comfort of swinging the stack. I am sure it will normalize quickly and you will see some major jumps within sessions 1-10. @Paco Chan E-Speed will translate to the fastest you can swing your driver length the same way you swing the stack. So E-speed will translate to the max you would swing your driver no ball in that exact moment in time. That would be up to you to add in "special sessions" and work your on-ball/on-course speed gap to inch closer to your max. I have been working in some "full Bryson" sessions in the net and find I am in that range of 4-8 mph lower than e-speed 90% of the time.
  8. I am a few programs in but it is an up and down process. I have found that sprinkling in some of the "special sessions" that include on ball training have helped. I have also done on the side every 3-4 sessions or so my own "special session" where I use spray or impact tape and hit 15-20 drives at cruising speed and not caring about mechanics but just focusing on club face impact and then after getting that dialed in, doing the same process with MAX out, not caring where the ball goes but also focusing on impact at speeds higher than normal. I am at different speeds but have found that whatever happens during those sessions your brain and body start to figure it out on their own and improve. After a few times of doing that after my first program and starting my second my on course cruising speed was higher vs max previously with no ball and clubface control greatly improved. Just a tip that may work for others! In the end its all about gaining speed and increasing both your floor and max but we obviously want to see results on the course and that helped me a ton by kind of separating "speed drills" and contact.
  9. @WaffleHouseTour been adding in some stretching or yoga classes on apps for “hamstrings and lower back” specifically, taking a page out of your book. Still pushing weights and going to start a different program next week with more volume/higher velocity to see if I can push past the plateau.
  10. Understood - you may be able still slowly strength train legs with some help without pounding your joints. Depending on strength level/gym setup may be able to utilize a smith machine as well instead of a barbell. Could do some weighted split stance squats heavy and also lighter at quicker intensities to work on impulse. You could also work on heavier/faster 1/4 squats (people will think you are "cheating" your lift at the gym) but just the 1/4 squat you can load heavier and move faster and not only build strength faster, but will be more confident in your stability, but replicate a similar loading your legs will go through a golf swing. I have had great success with RDL's/One Leg Landmine RDL's and Trap Bar Deadlifts Rotational + Explosive - Med Ball Throws + Slams, Banded Rotational movements standing/kneeling/or slit stance. Cable Chops. Landmine rotational work Then I would just add a pretty basic upper body program just to build a base with decent volume/explosiveness Awesome progress though! Will be interesting to see what you can get to with just adding some basic strength training into the mix.
  11. That’s awesome! Of course some deadlifts and squats would be great but can get some extra work in with bands, med ball, and some dumbbells. I added some pictures below from recent studies + speed training process flow. I would definitely explore some weighted jumps, depth jumps, box jumps, jump progressions, various med ball throws, and other ballistic/high velocity work. Helped me definitely push through some plateaus
  12. Cold is here in Michigan. Going to be back to hitting it hard in the gym with just “sim league” once a week. Trying to push it past this plateau and add in some mobility work and stretching. Adding in some more velocity med ball work and weighted jumps to see if I can push past this plateau.
  13. Hahaha I had that last year at 32 and reason I bought the Stack. Coupled with a newborn, fell a bit out of shape strength wise, and went to the winter sim league and was 3 mph ish on average slower vs previous year. Turned that around and a few programs later coupled with the gym and swinging faster than I was in college.
  14. Start now. It will translate, believe me. Had to get a new driver shaft to start the year this year after last winter. Ran it through the season also, was a little more sporadic and added in more on ball sessions but kept it going. They even have some shorter hybrid programs that you could also utilize in season it mix with workout days.
  15. You got it man. It will come back. Had same experience and took a few return to forms and 1-2 regular sessions
