I used to always play from the tips, because I wanted to play the whole course. But being a 12 handicap a moved to the whites a few years ago and am so much happier with my game!

Ping Eye 2s Blue Dot were my go to irons for a long long time. Still have them and love them. But finally needed to switch to an iron that would give me some more distance. But damn I still love those irons!

It can be hit or miss. Depends on how much I’m focusing on my game. Morning rounds, no music. Late afternoon rounds with some buds a lil classic rock or reggae is nice. Just don’t blast it. Nobody else wants to hear your music

Yeah comes down to pace of play. But I’ve also heard of using the distance you hit your 7 iron. If it’s 135-155 you play whites. We used to always play the tips. But that was because we wanted to play the full course. Our scores were never that great. Now that we play from the whites I shoot in the low 80s and am much happier. My 7 iron goes 150-155
