Titleist GT Long Game - 2024 Forum Review
JAMGOLF replied to GolfSpy_APH's topic in Forum Testing Reviews
Hello all. I applied to be a tester for the Titliest GT3 driver. Unfortunately I wasn’t selected. However, I was so intrigued by the new drivers, I went to test them out at a Titliest Fitting. Well, all I can say is… “WOW” what a driver. I purchased the TaylorMade Qi 10 on release day. As much as I love my Qi10, the GT3 simply out performed against the the Qi10. I spent 2 sessions for a total of 3 1/2 hours fitting for the Qi10. I was super pleased with the results. And then, I tested the GT3. Man, I should have waited to purchase a driver. The Titliest GT3 dropped my spin rate by 500rpm’s and I gained 13 yards of distance. What a shocker! The look of the new line is sleek and modern yet keeps the classic look of Titliest. This club will never get old looking in your bag. Long story short, I should have waited to purchase a driver. Kudos to Titliest for creating their best driver ever!!! BTW, look at this shot placement on the face after the fitting. -
Why you should NOT keep your golf clubs in your car
JAMGOLF replied to TheFrugalGolfer's topic in Articles of Interest
I live in Ohio and don’t get to concerned about the heat. lol. I get more concerned about someone jacking them out of my trunk. Scared to death they are my babies. -
This fantasy has been fun. I’ve maintained top 3 in money earned and fedex cup points but not even close to being in the lead in this format. Definitely interesting and challenging.
-
@BIG STU I like the markings. Pictures are great. That’s what I was hoping to see.
-
I’ve been in the mix but not close enough. I had the lead in $$ and fed-ex points until recently but that doesn’t matter. Got to go low to get that dough or should I say grips.

Hello all, a few weeks ago Titleist had posted a question in their forum…”How do you mark your ball?” I personally thought this was cool and wanted to share mine. I use a green sharpie as not many others do and I make the T on Titleist into a J for my first name. The Mamba Mentality is a tribute to my favorite athlete of all time and I live by that motto. JAM in the middle is my initials. Emigh about me, let’s see how all the mygolfspy community marks their balls. This should be fun. Let’s see them…

How many putters do you currently have in your storage area?
JAMGOLF replied to Jim Shaw's topic in General Q&A
I have 13 extra putters. I love Scotty Cameron putters and seem to constantly buy more and more of them. My wife thinks I have a an addiction. I have sold 12 putters in the last year though. Photo is just part of the collection. -
I’m definitely interested.

Thank you for the birthday wishes.

What a great article you wrote. I appreciate the detail and the passion behind it. I feel like my comments and posts are insignificant in comparison. Golfspy truly picked a great person fo test a product. Well done!

I’m glad to hear you like my cheat code with the hand warmers. Certainly helps on the drives. I usually rotate 3 balls. That way every third hole is a toasty ball that out drives your friends. They will never know.

I live in Ohio and any time the ground is clear and over 38-40 degrees we have group that plays. Quick tips for playing in colder weather. Golf cart cover, heater, multiple thin layers so you can swing, and finally 2 ball related tips, softer/lower compression balls like Callaway super soft or the Wilson duo soft and the sneaky one… keep hand warmers in your bag or pocket and rotate your golf ball out every other hole so you are playing with a nice warm one. Certainly helps on the tee shot.ball.

Most wedge shafts are stiffer because wedges typically weigh more than irons. This helps with control however if you want the ball flight to be lower using a softer shaft helps with a lower ball flight. I like hitting sky balls to the moon and stick it the pin so I use stiffer ones.
