  1. So glad I am not alone when it comes to country! Then again, I am sure that feeling goes the same my way when I decide to listen to Faction Punk
  2. Awwwww yeah! Grabbed me a FW cover . Love the design on these.
  3. I just pop it on SiriusXM and either go with some old school hip hop (Rock the Bells Radio) or whatever else I may be feeling like that day. Obviously at a respectable volume, one that only I can hear and no further than 6ish feet away from the cart. I'm a nice guy like that unless they want me to crank it up!
  4. Hey, Spies! I've booked a 1 hour practice session at the PGA Superstore so I can demo a few other wedges and get some ideas of how the others feel in the hand and what the numbers may look like with my swing. I've never had wedges of this level, so I want to get an idea of some perspective on what others may consider moving on from. I want to ask you all if there are any specific requests, clubs (if available), swings, etc. that I may be able to check out for you? I will be at the Tucson, AZ store at 10 AM tomorrow (Sept 13), so also feel free to come down and check out/swing the Opus wedges I am testing if you are in the area!
  5. I try not to do too much and just go with what the swing has to offer for the day. If it is severe, like the one day during a match play where my driver just decided to keep topping the ball, I just kept it in the bag and hit the longest club I was comfortable with. I find if I keep trying to adjust or fix what I know is going wrong, things go even more south. Mentally, I just tell myself to swing easy, check my weight distribution, and remember how much more fun this still is over being at work
  6. I second this thought (just wish I was on vacation too) and moved forward with the purchase of Xtreme Tour with the NAVY design. I loved the first iteration of the PXG Xtreme, but found it is just way too spinny for me. Enter a ball that is allegedly more like the ProV1 with lower driver spin, flatter flight, and still more distance. Will definitely update y'all once I get them in and get a few numbers to compare
  7. I'm curious if you went through the L.A.B fitting and had your club built to your specifics, or was this an off the shelf purchase? I know there was a post in another topic that mentioned sending the club in for further configuration, but not too sure on your specific situation. That being said, I too struggled a bit to acclimate distances with my LAB 2.1 Broomstick. About 6 rounds in with it, I still find myself falling just short on a few putts. I also find myself hitting my target line WAY more than I use to and virtually eliminated my tendency to twist my wrists. I feel it will definitely help to continue to adjust to the putter and not lose faith. More often than not, I hear folks fight with their LAB rather than let the LAB do its thing and try to force a swing or face interaction. I too was an Odyssey fan boy for the longest time. I do not regret my transition and have embraced the 2.1.
  8. Unlike my other clubs, my putter is usually the one that sustains time in the bag over the years. Every so often I will find myself at the Super Store or Golf Galaxy and just try out different things or newer items that grabbed my attention. More often than not, there is nothing that just wows me into wanting to purchase something new. That was until I gave LAB a spin. THIS knocked the hamster off the wheel, got 'em back on, and set into overdrive. It was something I never experienced before and just had to keep trying them every chance I had. Over time, I finally succumbed to the bug and moved forward with the purchase. In this instance, there was a bit of trying something new which turned into "I need that", but it took something extraordinary to make me jump ship from my solid support for Odyssey equipment.
  9. Absolutely. I think one of the positive unintended consequences of getting these clubs in hand is the fact that I have spent more time working on my wedges than I ever have before. I just added my first impressions to the main page, and as mentioned there, it had been a part of my game I had often neglected and just felt was good enough to survive. From the first few swings to the first round already, I can easily say this is going to be a fun and interesting ride.
  10. I'm right there with you @GolfSpy_SHARK . Wondering if this may be a product of the higher COG? Happening with both of my wedges
  11. Mornin', spies! Would anyone else rather be at their happy place for just a moments time? Mine was always at Kaneohe Klipper while stationed in Hawaii back in the early 2000's. MAN I miss that course and the pure bliss it supplied for the mental health. Be good out there folks and take a moment from your busy days to enjoy and appreciate the finer things in life!!!!
  12. Congrats testers! This should be a fun follow to see how well this PXG technology works and if it will indeed compete with what L.A.B has to offer, or ANY other OEM at that.
  13. I'm so glad they now have a softer option with lower spin. Now I REALLY need to get to a PXG and check them out. Even better to have a flatter ball to be fitted with. Love they have a NAVY stamped box again
  14. Brief unboxing thoughts are up. You can go back to page 1 or click the link in my sig to get there. First impressions right around the corner
