I'm 71 and only hit my drives about 170 yards, at best.  There's three balls that I have been playing recently to figure out which one works best for me. They are the Srixon Soft Feel, Mizuno's RB 566 and Snell's Prime 2.0. They're all similar, but for now I'm sticking to the Prime 2.0.  It has a urethane cover and behaves better for shots into the green.

I play at muni courses almost exclusively and the grass/weed mix all over these courses can be troublesome to say the least.  The people that manage the courses lease them from the county and don't have tons of money for course upkeep. The group I play with has decided that if you've got a crappy lie go ahead and move the ball a bit.  We've been playing in these conditions for years, so we're used to it  We're just playing to have some fun and a little bit of friendly competition.
