What a great gift. Hopefully my family find their way to this thread and see this as inspiration...

Best looking blades money can buy right now. Got absolutely no business owning a set of these, but my god do I want some.

What will be the best new driver in 2025?
Gravenor replied to GolfSpy_APH's topic in General Equipment Talk
I really think the new Wilson DynaPower could be brilliant. I think its the best looking out of the releases i've seen so far, and their offerings for 2024 were very good for the money. A few tweaks here and there and the 2025 Wilson offerings could be a bit of a dark horse. -
This looks like a WEAPON. Enjoy mate!

Working on keeping my trail elbow connected to the body, as well as generating more power with my body and legs during the transition into the downswing. IMG_4321.mp4 Lots of work still to do, but the swing is starting to get there!

One of those days where I didn't happen to practice anything in particular, but was nice to hit some shots either way - even if it was below freezing! 3 & 5 wood felt DIALLED

WHAT. A. RIDE. That is one hell of a golf cart pal.

Happy Christmas! Some beauties in here!

A bit more positive today, definitely felt more focused. Aimed todays session towards increasing my extension after the point of impact, not allowing my wrist to flip after making contact. Added a video of my DTL for reference. IMG_4188.mp4 Still need to work on keeping my front foot down during impact - I may experiment with the idea of a wider stance to allow me to still generate power with my legs. Also need to straighten up my head/spine at address, but overall not too bad. Also hit this beauty which wasn't too bad either

First time hitting balls in the last 10 days / 2 weeks. Not super positive but at least i've knocked the rust off. We go again.

I have endorsed these irons more than once on this forum before, and I will gladly do it again. The Callaway Razr X Forged Irons

Wilson Staff Brand Opinion: @Gravenor What’s your impression of Wilson Golf’s current lineup? Have you gamed their gear? Their current lineup is genuinely fantastic. Tee to green they are probably one of the most consistent performers in every area, but rarely get the love they deserve because they're not one of the "sexy" names in the golf club world. The putters (Staff Model) are beautiful, and having tested them a fair amount at my local course they feel and perform great too. No gimmicks or ridiculous selling points, just simply crafted and well built forged putters that more than likely appeal more to a "feel" player than anyone else. Their wedges (Staff Model ZM) are traditional looking wedges. They're once again classy, elegant, no gimmicks. I haven't used them extensively, but i've hit a few shots with them and they feel good. The irons are definitely the party-piece. Both lineups (Staff Model CB/MB) are some of the best looking and best feeling irons money can buy right now. I have hit the CB fairly extensively, less so the MB, but my reaction to both was just how great they looked down by the ball and how nice they felt. General performance figures seem to be in the right area as well, with most tests confirming that a 4i, 7i and PW are carrying and spinning as you'd expect them to. One area that I was initially unsure about last year was the longer clubs (DynaPower). The Wilson Staff DynaPower lineup intrigued me, but I always felt the looks left so much to be desired. A friend of mine has a 2024 DynaPower 7-wood and it was an absolute rocket. He bought the driver not long after and the results were staggering considering the price they were selling for. Wilson definitely showed they still had what it took to compete with the bigger guys, and having seen the aesthetic changes they've made for the 2025 lineup I can safely say the 2025 DynaPower driver will be first on my list to try... it looks UNREAL. Do you think Wilson’s rich history is helping or hurting them in today’s golf market? I actually don't think Wilson play into their history enough. They are arguably the most successful club manufacturer in the history of the game, and even if you disagree with that statement you can't argue they're not in that conversation. I don't think many new golfers realise just how successful Wilson Staff was in their prime and the history that goes along with their brand which is a shame. They should be much prouder of their heritage and play into it when marketing new clubs as much as possible. What are your thoughts on their marketing efforts? Are they connecting with modern golfers? I don't think the average golfer associates quality and performance with a brand like Wilson the same way they do with a Titleist or a Mizuno. As someone who's hit their entire current lineup I can say with 100% conviction they're worthy of being in that bracket, but the average-joe doesn't see them that way because for a long time - and to a certain extent even still today - Wilson have struggled to decide where they want to be in the golfing world. The cheap and nasty wholesale clubs probably print money, but that reputation for building cheap beginners clubs will inevitably bleed into their ability to market and price their more premium products (such as the "Model" line). In my opinion, Wilson should be on the same route as the big 4, not selling wholesale clubs at sporting department stores, but I understand their desire and perhaps even their need to do so. I hope they don't end up like the other giants of the old-school era, such as Macgregor and Ram. What would Wilson need to do to climb into your “must-try” list? Keep doing what they're doing. Wilson are on a positive road at the moment and it is essential they strike whilst the iron is hot. Last year was a very strong year for them in terms of premium club offerings and the subsequent reactions they received. Another couple years like that and theres no telling where they could end up.

Are you sure....? Nah seriously mate - congratulations! What a steal. I'd be doing the exact same thing you're doing.

@Josh Parker Just thought i'd give a quick update on this situation. First of all... Thank you. Following what you said during this conversation I went back to the range to investigate the yardage issue. I spent a lot of time focusing on my position at address and impact position, as well as taking multiple videos of my impact position face on. Turns out I was square/almost positive at impact. This really surprised me as I always felt like my hands were ahead of the ball at impact, but it appears that was not the case. I solved this issue by simply addressing the ball with my hands further ahead and the shaft leaning forward, as well as trying to create a separation between my left shoulder and my chin at impact (feel) and I seem to have somewhat eliminated it. I'm still having issues with my gapping between my 4i & 5i (4i not carrying far enough), but I'm planning on dropping the 4i for a driving iron when I get some new irons next season. I'm also still gaming a set of MP-15's and to be frank the 4i is a bit out of my league anyway so i'm not overly concerned. Anyway, thanks for the help mate.
