  1. I don't carry much (maybe a glove) on the outside of the bag; I put everything in the available pockets which is why internal storage space is important to me.
  2. My dream putter would be one that I could mill myself using patterned Damascus. For this to happen, i'd have to learn how to mill steel. Would want hand milled and not CNC milled. It would probably be something with swappable components like Machine putters.
  3. Things should start moving pretty quickly. Ghost Golf has confirmed the orders and shipping labels have been completed with UPS. Since the product is coming from Georgia is looks like a quick trip to Virginia.
  4. I believe If it was purchased from a third party seller then there are different policies. That is why I always buy things that ship from Amazon.
  5. Sounds like you just want to do paintfill. testers or Tamiya paint, Acetone, toothpick, brushes, or needle paint applicators, and paper towels are the basics.
  6. pretty basic with wedge/short game. I move ball position to control height and don’t manipulate the face very much. 4 wedges: Set PW - used for full swings and partial wedge shots. set GW - used fior full swings and partial wedge shots Vokey 54/12 - used for full shots, bunker, partial wedges. Typically square faced and don’t open it up much. Vokey 60/8 - lives in the bag. while not wedges I used most of my clubs around the green chipping.
  7. Based on your photos, I would say those greens are bordering on unplayable. If I had a choice I would pick the other course as well and I have avoided courses in my area due to the condition of the greens.
  8. Good to hear from you again and welcome back. I thought your plans were to move back to Hawaii ?
  9. I know there is lots of debate about YouTube instruction, but I think if you can get better and I feel like through some YouTube instruction I have gotten better. Short game has been my nemesis for a long time and I have been watching videos from Dan Grieve and Parker McLaughlin (ShortGameChef) and feel that they have helped my short game a significant amount over the last 6 months or so. In the past I have spent considerable time with instructors attempting to fix my issues and while I got better, I feel like the YouTube videos and repeatedly watching them reinforced what was taught during my lessons.
  10. Probably butt trimmed. I don’t know what you asked for or how the order was specified. If you species an overall length there may have been a disconnect on shaft length versus playing length. The shaft should play a slight bit stiffer than if it was 1.25” longer and probably not something most people would notice. While not the topic of the thread, if you we fit into a club 1.25” longer then you will possibly have contact issues.
  11. I don’t have my bag yet, but that is a question I have about the bags and what I want to evaluate during testing. am used to the full length pocket on one side and consider storage important becuase I carry lots of unnecessary stuff.
  12. To me no, to others a definitive yes. What “thing” would it have to change to make it worth it for you?
  13. So you are implying that the claims/information on their website is inaccurate? from their site Path of the Putter The path the putter is moving back and forward in the critical area 0-6 inches behind the ball and at impact is key #2. We want the force generated by the putter to be straight along the line we are aiming, no matter what type of stroke we use. The side rails of the TrueStroke™ putting track are adjustable to any width so that you can choose how much ark you want to allow during your stroke, how forgiving your practice session is, and so that any size putter can be used. Trains Any Type of Putting Stroke TrueStroke is designed to train the three most essential aspects of a great putting stroke, no matter what stroke type you use...arc, straight-back-straight-forward, inside-down-the-line.
  14. I prefer hybrid bags. I use a push cart, ride, and when I go to the range I carry and there are sometimes long walks to the range, For the range a stand bag is what I want so I can easily put the bag down. Stand bags are often lighter and don’t do well on a push or riding cart hence my preference for a hybrid type bag.
  15. Was it 1” tip trim based on OEM instructions and then. Butt cut to desired length?
  16. It is probably based on Neilson type ratings. Selected people document what they watch and how much time they spent watching.
  17. I’ll agree with this post. With the rise YouTube golf channels I think people are getting more enjoyment watching the influencers play golf than the pros. I think the article MGS did recently is spot on. https://mygolfspy.com/news-opinion/the-rise-of-youtube-golf-why-is-on-demand-golf-so-popular/
  18. Scottie is possibly a generational type player and currently there isn’t anyone close especially when looking at consistency and play from tee to green. His putting is a bit better and if it continues to improve there will be possibly more separation. Looking down the list I think the only player that could pass him is Aberg. Most of the others are established top OWGR players and really aren’t challenging. Aberg made some mental mistakes coming down the stretch of the Masters and if he can develop the mental game Scottie has he will be the next number one.
  19. Hitting a tru e 3 wood isn’t easy. Many people go to 4 wood (16.5*) because the loft and shorter shaft make it a little easier to hit.
  20. I am with @RickyBobby_PR; learn to hit the ball low with different clubs. Recovery shots are shots intended to get me back in position and are not hero shots. You other option is to put different clubs in your back, but you will, still need to learn how to hit the low punch out type of shot.
  21. It takes a little while, just try to add it as part of your preshot routine. I Tagged the club when I was standing behind the ball
  22. Last night was league night. Gorgeous evening with temps in the 60s. My handicap for this course is a 3. Started off poorly and snapped hooked first tee shot OB and ended up with a triple to begin the round. Approach shot on my second hole caught a branch and knocked the ball down; burned the edge on the par putt to bogey the hole. Was able to turn it around after that and finished the remaining 7 holes at even par with a birdie and bogey. Tee shots were a weakness; I only hit 1 fairway and that was with an iron. Short game was probably the best it has been in a long time and it was needed since I only hit 4 greens. Putting was good with 15 putts and based on strokes gained was 0.10 strokes better than a PGA pro.
  23. I wanted to provide an ongoing update to the review. I am back to being able to play golf after my surgery in January. I have played 2 league matches since starting back and the MC 3 stripe is in the bag. The greens had been recently aerated during my first match so I didn’t track strokes gained but felt like I putted pretty well. I did track during my second match and had 15 putts and gained 0.10 strokes against a PGA professional level. I really didn’t hit a bad putt and the missed putts were starting online and burning the edges. The putter definitely fits my stroke and the alignment lines help me aim where I want to start the ball. Dedicated practice has also been a benefit to my putting since that was one of the only things I could do in February and March.
  24. Hard to say. There are other factors that will contribute such as head weight and total weight. If all things are equal the additional 7* will make the putter want to stay a little more open to the path. There will be other schools of thought that will say it makes zero difference.
