Ive played the hamptons quite a few times and it is one the places I go practice putting and pitching. For personal rounds I usually play Royal New Kent, Vinaterra, Kiskiack, and Golden Horseshoe Green course. We play other places occasionally. My golf league plays the woodlands, sleepy hole, cypress creek, and riverfront. Generally I am willing to play most anywhere.

Graphite isn't just for the older golfer with aches and pains. Graphite shafts in irons can be equal to or better than steel in many cases. Do you question graphite in driver, fairway woods, hybrids? The only drawback would be cost.

My thought is that after year 1 this is who LIV goes after. Start trying to get some of the bigger names and them take the up and comers and dry up the talent feed to the PGA tour.

Yes, it happens with all rangefinders which is why many have the feature that makes the unit vibrate or beep when it locks on the pin. I would suggest you use the rangefinder in scan mode so that you can move it around to get better accuracy; my 16 year old rangefinder has the capability and so do most every rangefinder I have looked at. You should be able to identify a bad reading based on where you are standing in the fairway.

The is an individual component and a team component. Individual is easy. Team scores are based on the two plaYers scores on Thursday and Friday and top thr on Saturday. It is shotgun start so essentially every player has played the same number of holes.

Build a full bag oF PXG gen 5 and forged wedges and it will seem much more affordable than needing to win the lottery.

This will be interesting to watch long term. We are in year 1 of LIV and to make the product more marketable they need name recognition; hence the players that are being thrown lots of money. If the tour becomes successful, the next target for players is the young up and comer on the KFT and in college. At that point with lesser amounts of guaranteed money they can essentially lower the caliber of play on the PGA tour as time passes and we get to say year 5.

I am not sure that it is specific to the league but more to the players unions and specific player contracts. As @chisaghas stated he is loyal to his union because of the benefits the union offers and provides. Players not going to other leagues may be more tied to their specific contract and injury clauses. WNBA players go play foreign leagues, lower tier NBA player go play other leagues, auto racers go across classifications . The example I have was many years ago the pre was a CFL player that wanted to play hockey and joined the local ECHL hockey team. He played a few games and left due to the fact that his contract had injury clauses and his mortgage was tied to his contract. If the PGA tour didn’t want players to be enticed by other current and future tours, they should never have granted exemptions in the past to allow players to play other events thAt were not part of the membership agreement.

I’ll admit, I’m watching the event. I watch golf if it is on but don’t generally go out of my way to watch golf, even the majors. I also don’t root for specific players, I just watch the golf. So far it isn’t too bad and I probably couldn’t differentiate th golf from the golf played on any other tour. I kind of like the shotgun start aspect, everyone gets same weather conditions and the running score shows how many holes are left to play. I’d say the announcing, other than the tour hype type commentary isnt too bad. I think it is just American announcers that are terrible, Jerry Foltz is kind of annoying. The others give the event a European event feel. With the teams and draft and trades, it may require a little more attention than I am willing to do since I don’t get how it works across the season.

There are lots of players and other tours all over the world. I look at leaderboards even for the PGA Tour and don’t know a lot of the players so,I am not a great person to ask

We often see people asking for advice on a shaft that lowers or raises ball flight, for a shaft that is low spin or high spin, and even discussions about jacked lofts and balls. TXG posted an interesting video that touches on these topics and explains things like launch windows and that it is ultimately the players reaction to the shaft that controls launch conditions. I am sure some people will say this only applies to a high swing speed player like Drew. I counter by saying high swing speeds magnify the effect but it still applies to all golfers. Bottom line is that this video explains why the general advice is that you need to try the combination to see if it works for you.
