  1. Are the spin and launch numbers a guess since you can’t measure on a launch monitor? When you were purchasing the club what type of numbers were you seeing when comparing the drivers? Too many unknowns to be able to give you any real advice as there could be many causes. Spin and launch can be related; but you can have various combinations based on how you deliver the club. The easiest way to lower your launch is to lower the loft of your driver. Just because you were in the 10:range with the M5 doesn’t mean that is what you need in the Titleist. Do you know if your angle of attack is down or up? Downward has a tendency to increase spin. Where do you hit the ball on the face? High generally is lower spinning than low on the face.
  2. You will not get a definitive answer unless you send it in. You have two people responding. I think it is probably real and the other believes it is fake. Your initial point about you belief that it was fake was that the cherry dots fell out; That happens with these putters. Then you mentioned that the weights don’t sit flush. You have aftermarket weights or the weights are real and the putter is a fake, or the weights just aren’t seated correctly. The PGA superstore indicated it was real and part of their responsibility is ensuring the clubs they take in are real.
  3. I watched the videos multiple times until the next set was made available. Was good to hear the info multiple times to make sure it sunk in.
  4. Absolutely bizarre. Gas stations around me are running out of gas and those that have gas have lines that are probably 45 min+ wait. People are reporting that stations may not have anymore gas until next week. Hopefully they get this pipeline shutdown thing fixed soon.
  5. There are usually some tell tale signs and many of the fakes are really good copies. unless you were comparing fonts and letter placement side by side you would never know. Based on the condition you wouldn’t get top dollar if you tried to sell. But the only way to be sure would be to send it in and it probably isn’t worth dining that. Enjoy the putter, Cameron’s don’t putt any better than another brand; even if it is fake.
  6. It was definitely used and abused. The cherry bombs falling out is a fairly common occurrence. Looks right to me, other than the cherry bombs what makes you think it is fake?

  8. You create an account on the Grint app, play a round; but before the round select the specified tour event. Make sure you enter your stats because we don't know the criteria that will be used to determine the winner. See the image below for the event to select.
  9. Just like club fitting, instructors have their approaches and methods to help people improve. Choose a single instructor and make sure you are both on the same page with what you want to accomplish. Lots of ways to swing a club.
  10. You post an 18 hole round in the Grint app using the specified tour event. At the end of the moth, the winner is chosen and the criteria for selection is revealed. All we know it that it has to do with putting so you need to make sure you post those stats. If you read the prior months event and this events first post and still have a question, feel free to ask for clarification.
  11. Here is my honest response. I don't think short putting mats (under 20') are really worth it. You can use at home things to make gates or a yardstick to work on your putting at home. Speed control is something that you need to work on and the only ways are a long mat or an ExPutt. I do love my ExPutt and it has helped my distance putting. Launch monitors are great and I would love to have one myself. But I voted for lessons; having read a lot of your post my interpretation is you are looking for equipment to improve your game and you keep questioning the equipment you have bought. I don't get the impression that you are buying equipment for the enjoyment of the equipment. For that reason, I would get lessons to help improve your game.
  12. You mean like when they add celebrities to the PGA events not very entertaining in my mind.
  13. I think this is shown on a daily basis on YouTube. Lots of average golfers vlog their rounds.
  14. They witb section us intended to be. Ideally everyone creates their own post and puts their info and pictures. And since few of us keep bags the same long term you continue to update the thread with your updates.
  15. Berger and Morikawa are off to a new fantasy home. We will have to see how it works out. Hopefully I can pull out some wins and squeak into the playoffs.
  16. Based on the trade requests and the few offers I have received, quite a few people seem to want Berger. I am willing to move him and even do a package deal; but I am not willing to give up Berger and morikawa unless you are coming with a really good offer like a 3 for the two. Im in need of players that play regularly.
  17. Probably getting off topic a bit, but your post makes it seem like everyone should do this all the time. Did some searching and can’t really find anything that says it is required or an obvious thing. I understand it could provide more control but your captain obvious makes it seem like a best practice and everyone does it all the time As examples, here are some videos of non choked down. Not trying to knock what you are saying, trying to learn james ridyard: short game coach Tiger woods james sieckmann: short game coach https://www.facebook.com/titleist/videos/408455400331163/ phil mickelson
  18. I do for chips, but when I get out to 20y plus I don't.
  19. Closer worked well for full swing and for chips. I just need to get the pitches figured out when I am on the course. It worked okay on the range
  20. Sorry, generally a first post on a forum doesn't look like an advertisement. Unfortunately this one did so that is why you got the responses you did. Generally items like this are targeted at more casual golfers. Most players typically put the glove in their back pocket and markers in their pocket as well.
  21. Didn't expect a lot during todays round after taking a lesson yesterday. I went into the round with the intent of trying to execute the swing I was working on yesterday no matter the results. Overall I didn't really have bad swing results; everything went pretty straight. A couple of bad swings off the tee but overall tee shots weren't that bad; misses were just off the fairway with no impact on approach to green. Iron shots were generally pretty good. A few off the toe, but nothing significantly left or right. The big cause of the bogeys and worse was my pitching game. Yesterday my instructor had me get closer to the ball on my iron shots so I did the same with the pitch shots; didn't work very well and hit a lot of them fat. Generally got enough of the ball to get it up to the green but needs some work. 41/41:82. 6 Fairways, 7 GIR (3 nGir), 31 putts.
  22. It is probably the one I was actually looking for. I have seen another one that I think did a better job of explaining. This is why instruction is so important. You have to see what the player is doing and find something that works for that player. My problem was that I was firing both the hips and shoulders at the same time and causing my hands to go out and not down. This is why we worked on isolating the hips to start the lesson; the thought was keep back toward target and get the thighs in line again. This one move did quite a few things for me. It shortened my swing and prevented me from hinging my wrists more at the top of the backswing, it caused my hands to start the drop down, and it gave me the necessary connection between the arm and chest. This was a feel I personally needed to get my swing in better sequence. When I got the timings down, my swing looked really good and I was hitting the center of the face. And that is what you need. There is no time in the swing to really consciously make these moves. We were doing them in slow motion and stepping through the swing. None of this was done at full speed during the lesson. We were doing pretty much everything at 60%. That is why I like my coach, he doesn't tell me what I should feel. We talk about what I need to do and I come up with the feels.
  23. Self diagnosing your swing is very difficult and then you have to find the right fix for that problem. I had a lesson yesterday and we worked through a lot of things to try and fix a toe strike. We tweaked the backswing, hip turn, and a few other things. My problem after quite a bit of diagnosis and reviewing launch monitor numbers is that I have a flying right elbow. The elbow separation causes a myriad of compensations to try and fix make an effective swing. getting someone to look at your swing is always a good idea.
