  1. Stroke analysis will show a different story. Putters with offset tend to swing closed to the putters path and putters with no offset tend to swing open to the path.
  2. Not sure what you consider to be much time, but I would guess staff time was 50+ hours plus 1-2 hours per tester.
  3. Same thing as the Myers Briggs test; they have just assigned names to the personality types. This time I tested as: Logistician
  4. Those lab tests are done at Headquarters and they have never done the CoG report. For you it may be a waste of time, just like the CoG report is a waste of time for others. As I mentioned above, I am pretty sure Tony does the CoG testing and he is doing ball lab at this point in time.
  5. It is about shear volume of contests entered and finding the contests. He also seems to have a ton of entries in each contest so the odds are definitely in favor of the person having the most entries.
  6. The answer to this is very simple. CC has a playability guarantee; you call them go back and hit them in the sim and see what happens. If they are off spec or need to be adjusted they will do that for you. This is part of the fitting process.
  7. My guess is that it won't happen. Tony is focused on ball lab and I believe he is the one who did/coordinated the measurements. Headquarters is doing the past 5 winner test and then looking to get 2021 testing started.
  8. sorry to hear about this; take care of yourself!
  9. For me 2 steps is about 5 feet. This is close enough for measuring distance since as the putt gets longer, finishing within a 6 foot wide circle is considered good. Putts, just like any other golf shots have dispersion patterns so as long as we are close the step method give a good approximation. Did you just do one stride when measuring or did you walk off something like 10'? Probably more accurate if you walk off a few paces to get your natural step pattern.
  10. Let me take some of the new wedge swing. We didn't keep the ones from yesterday. I was planning on doing this soon so I could send a followup to my instructor so I can make sure I am doing the right thing after the lesson.
  11. We really took my distance wedge swing back to fundamentals. I tend to setup with a closed face (so we opened it a touch), the turning of the knee was a reaction I had to generate speed, learning to turn with the body and not throw the arms was the key and really what we worked on for most of the lesson. We spent lots of time turning back to shaft parallel to the ground, pausing and ensuring the position was right, and then turning through. It was interesting to watch the video, when I was doing the swing without pausing, I would end up at left arm parallel and I would have sworn it was shaft parallel.
  12. Watched most of the video and I personally would still go Quad; it could be that I am saying that because I am more familiar with the quad and believe that it presents accurate information. There are differences between both systems in how they measure data and they reading can be influenced by the club itself. as the reviewer in the video said, he would go quad.
  13. I decided to tape the replay and am currently watching; not really all that engaging to watch.
  14. Took a little longer than expected to hear back from my instructor on the numbers and videos I sent but I got feedback and based on the feedback, we decided an in person lesson was needed. Unless you can live stream, what we did during the lesson cannot be replicated via recoded video. Based on what I sent the identified issues were: the swing was to long for the 40 yard shot I was hitting, the arms got out of sequence with the body, and a bit too much front loading too early. Early discussions involved the distance gaps and why the best players avoid certain distances, how to sequence the arms and body during the swing, and pressure shifting. During the lesson we worked on shots that were shaft parallel and left arm parallel. During the lesson we talked about opening the club face, pushing off the right foot (used the force pedal under right foot to help with this) and not bending the right knee in when I was swinging through, and club release. Tendency is that I let the right arm get behind me on these short swings and am unable to recover which results in my dropping the right shoulder and hitting it fat or flipping and hitting it thin. Biggest thing for me is I need to turn the body more during the swing. As technique improved I was seeing better contact, ball flight, spin, and dispersion. Now, I just need to get out and practice the new skills and keeping my elbows closer together.
  15. I love Titleist hybrids. Tried a bunch over the years but found the 585 and played it for a long time; then upgraded to the 915 and 816 models. If I wanted new ones, I would start with titleist.
  16. practiced distance wedges today. Had a lesson this afternoon to try and solve some of the problems I have been having. While I like online lessons, sometimes having a live lesson is great. Made some changes to my swing and at least during the lesson I was hitting the ball better. Need to work on turning the body on the backswing..... for both wedge play and full swing.
  17. It cannot be inserted in the putter at 90*, but I don't think there is anything against the rules that says you can't hold it at 90*; you could also get SBST by standing sidesaddle. But most players won't do that.
  18. SBST isn't real. The putter moves along an inclined plane and unless you are manipulating the stroke it won't move SBST. Having a more vertical plane will reduce the arc, but unless the putter shaft is at 90* you have an arc.
  19. Hope everything is going well. In 30 minutes, I would grab primarily stuff to practice putting (putter, balls, and my exPutt). Since I am in a hotel room I could use glasses/coffee cups for gates. I would also grab a wedge to hit some chips and short pitches and enable me to work on mechanics of the full swing.
  20. I am more interested in under 100 yards
  21. Interesting review. Not exactly positive but not necessarily negative. Based on your response why send the S2 when the S4 is your latest product? I am assuming that you sent the shaft with a Ping adapter so you should have known the SW that would create. This definitely sounds like you have to try the shaft to see if it works well for you. You have a money back guarantee and flex exchange policy, are you covering return shipping if the shaft is sent back?
  22. Specs from Srixon show D2 through the set and then D3 for PW, GW. You can search google but I linked the MGS article below that has the detailed specs. https://mygolfspy.com/first-look-srixons-2017-driver-iron-lineup/
