Question for the testers here, as I have both a S62 and an Epix that I use while out on the course.

Not so much an issue with the watch themselves, but when you download the information to the Garmin Connect feature where the scorecard data and hole and shots are recorded.

I run into this scenario and wondered if any other have seen it too?

Par 3 hole at my regular course, yardage by both the range finder and watch typically shows somewhere between 150 - 160 yards depending upon pin location.

When I complete the round, save the data but then sync the watch and data using the Garmin app on the computer, it typically shows yardages as less than originally measured?

Usually 138 - 146 yards on "scorecard data" versus what was originally seen while out on the course.

Will also have incorrect yardage data on some other holes too, both par 4's and par 5's afterwards.

Wondering if it may be a watch issue or something with the GPS information itself.

Is it showing the actual scorecard yardages for the holes instead of measured yardages? I know in my last round a par 3 measured at 138 yards but the scorecard showed 151.

Were you looking for a stronger lofted 3 wood?? Like a 15°?? If so a little heads up the Taylormade M2 can be bought for 150 tops and is at the top of the heap for longest/most forgiving 3 woods ever made!! Absolute rocket and easy to strike and looks good!! Google most forgiving 3 wood all time and I guarantee you see this weapon!! It's the longest running club in my bag

Appreciate the suggestion! I don't usually get along with TM, absolutely hated the last three I've tried. My favorite all time is the V Steel though. Just got this Callaway for under $135 with rewards bucks I had saved up.

  3. Well, the Link is finally going to be put up for sale today so I can fund the purchase of my DF3. I love the Link but there's just something I miss about the bigger putter that I was so excited to get away from when I got the Link. The DF3 is the perfect size, smaller than my DF2.1 without losing any of the benefit.

Right now I'm leaning towards a blue head with a white Accra shaft. The stock steel felt pretty good when testing the DF3 but I love the Accra I have now.

Well, one of my fears occurred with this watch. I lost the charging cable while traveling overseas. Due to the unique style of the charging cable, it is very difficult to find a replacement and the Garmin option is rather expensive. I found one retailer in Sarajevo who sold the cable and it was $34 USD. My wife was coming out in a couple of days so I took my chances with a third party option that I found on Amazon for $6.99. Screenshot_20240221_155602_AmazonShopping.jpg.d2218c455875a495ce5b2071b1e70718.jpg

The one I bought on Amazon works just as well as the one from Garmin. It can provide a full charge from practically 0 in under 90 minutes. Back in the States, I looked up the cost of the charger from Garmin. It's $24.99 on their website plus shipping because they do free shipping for orders $25 and over. If you opt to get this watch, it might be worth getting a backup cable from a third party incase you find yourself in a position where you will not easily find a replacement cable.

I misplaced mine for a couple days and panicked but thankfully it turned up. Never been a fan of proprietary chargers but I'm glad to know the Amazon one works great. Good update!

Speaking of charging, I fully expected there to be a little drop off in battery life by now but I'm still getting 14-15 days per charge. Love this thing!

Hey Jeff we have an unofficial testing page if you want to add to it. This is it:

I’ve been doing the second hand test on the Paradym and it has been amazing and fun, I’ll also be adding results from test a stiff shaft with it and an xstiff shaft with it. Hopefully this insight will help others. I want to test some new irons before buying some since my irons seem to be dying on me 1 at a time.

I get called John every day but Jeff is a first, haha. But yeah, I had planned on joining in once I'm able to get some golf in with them. We've got snow on the way so hopefully I can get out before this weekend!

Wedges are the strongest part of my game, so getting to test these would be telling. If only I could putt as well. 😉

I play all kinds of shots with my 52°, 56° & 60° wedges from wide open for green side bunkers, short chips to 80-yard shots with a 10-yard draw on them with my 60° to a 100-yard shot that will drop like a butterfly with sore feet with either club, depending on the wind.

I can hit low screamers that hit and stop, check and dribble/roll out or rip back.

Living on a few clear acres, I spend at least 2 hours a day with a wedge in my hand and it's scary good, so I'd love to be chosen to test and review these wedges that claim superiority.

I currently have Titleist wedges in 5208, 5612, 6008 in my bag, but have some Mizuno with lower bounces in the gap/lob, so I sometimes use those, depending on where I play.

I like as much heel and toe relief as I can get, so it's more scalpel, then wedge. On a used gap wedge, as a test, I went out into the driveway where it's hardpan and really sandy then hit a bunch of shots with a severely open face and some with the face closed and coming across my body, using the toe, to show the wear pattern. I then hit those scratched areas on my belt sander, then kept doing it until it was where I wanted it and apparently, I don't need much of a flat spot on the sole of my gap or lob wedge.

Whenever I do get my next new wedges, I'll get as much heel/toe relief as I can get, then just repeat the process with foam balls, do the grinding, then start hitting real balls, so I don't crush the new grooves, before it's ready to use.

Best of luck to all who enter and thank you MGS for the chance to help in finding the best equipment out there through their every-player testing process.

To MGS and all of its readers/followers/subscribers...MERRY CHRISTMAS, a safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! and may 2024 see amazingly positive changes/growth for us all.

    PEACE!

First off, Merry Christmas to you as well! While all that sanding is your go-to, it would defeat the purpose of this wedge test as one of our core technologies is the sole that our innovator patented. The design of the club and it's properties would be diminished therefore making it impossible to promise you anything and very hard to deliver on our performance claims. Other companies have tried to copy this dual bounce sole but none have ever figured it out just right. The closest has been Cleveland/Srixon but if you're lucky enough to be picked I think you'll be surprised at how close this sole is to being universal. Would be nice to get more Edison Wedges to the great state of Georgia, just make sure you follow the rules to enter!

Thanks, Josh, I really hope y’all know I’m not bashing them in anyway!!!

Yeah, it’s on me not looking at the lengths ahead of time, or even asking for a different shaft. My bad….

You're all good, I don't think any of us took it as bashing! There's no perfect club out there that works for everyone and we know that. Your perspective is just as important as anyone's!

For this test I couldn't have matched your Modus shafts but I could've gotten you a 130 that was stiffer from the KBS line. I'm sorry we didn't make it happen, I'll shoulder the blame on that. I'm hoping down the line we can run another test and let the testers pick the shafts they want from any brand.
