  1. There’s nothing wrong with just wanting to roll out of bed, go to course and have fun - we don’t play golf for a living. I’m pretty surprised that a modern teacher would try to make such a radical change. That would cost you a season at least. Go have fun Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  2. Wow - thanks for sharing these - what an opportunity. Just spectacular Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

  4. Kevin Pinellas Park/FL Driver SS 94/6.1 15 degree fairway wood, 22 degree hybrid, 25 degree hybrid Right handed Great opportunity, thanks Ping and MGS - good luck everyone! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  5. That was it for sure - I didn’t notice the pending thing by my courses. It’s done now so hopefully next round. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  6. I thought that I did - But I’m guessing that’s my error. I need to have a younger tech savvy person with me to get this kick started. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  7. The idea is to have fun. I’m only commenting because a wide range of people read these threads and it would be 1 in a million who stumbled on their very best golfing potential through the do it yourself method. It’s simply not the wisest approach if playing the best golf you are capable of is your goal. The usual suspect pros have been brought up here as if they stumbled on it this way. Their swings may look awkward to our untrained eyes. These guys are not weekend hackers. They do or did work with teachers to make their swings as efficient as possible. Furyks father is a teaching pro. Palmer grew up on a golf course and on it goes. The quirks in their swings developed because of their body types or a desire to eliminate a certain shot that plagued them (Trevino’s opened stance block fade to avoid a hook at all costs). It’s fine to do it your way but working with a good teacher and practicing what you are learning is the simplest way to play your best golf. This is a test that I would love to see MGS do. 12 guys who’ve never taken lessons, 6 go through the season as they always do, the other 6 take lessons, practice and play. At the end of the year see if there’s any difference in the groups. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  8. Beals Outlet on senior discount day is the bomb. Got three pairs of dress paints, a pair of jeans and two pairs of shorts for a song there. Picked up two pairs of shorts and some shirts at my club on year end close outs and found clerical collars really cheap on line. I threw the old clothes away as an incentive to keep the weight off. 9. I got it thanks but next issue up was when I got to the course and turned on the satellite thingy it kept telling me there were no courses within 1kilometer. I was standing on the first tee of one of the courses at a 36 hole facility. Tried turning it on and off and got the same result. :( Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  10. Played the blues at Bayou today 73.7/140 and shot 43-40 with a snowman on 4. Sounds bad but 6600 yards at sea level fairly wet and windy conditions I held my own except for that one hole. For the guys here who’ve played it imagine playing 16 at 203 over the Bayou. Hit it just off the green left - It really wasn’t bad - that quad stinks but other than that I held my own - should have pitched out with an 8 iron and would have had a shot at breaking 80 from there. Not bad for an old fart. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  11. Well I wanted to use mine for the first time yesterday but couldn’t get it to sync with the phone. I couldn’t even figure out how to use the GPS options Advice on the sync up? I will figure out the on course use of the band NP. I was rushed last night. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  12. We shouldn’t loose sight of the fact that SuperSpeed has been great through this process. For example their little post a week or so ago about how to maintain during the season was huge. I was really struggling with what to do between play and work. Work will slow after next week and having done maintenance the past few weeks I’ll jump back in where I left off. 13. I worked the PGA at Whistling a number of years back. It also included rounds of golf at Blackwolf run. There was a cost associated for the uniform and training sessions. Well worth it and I’m sure the Ryder Cup will be even more so. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  14. Great round chisag! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  15. Why did you aim it OB though? :) Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  16. Several to choose from in a competitive 77 but I’m going with the 7 iron on 9 into the breeze from 151 to 5 feet. Stabbed at the putt and made par but man was that a beautiful iron shot - right through the sea breeze. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  17. Had 77 in league this afternoon - quite the contrast from last week and on a tougher course - go figure. Waiting on whether I won a skin and a closest to the pin. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  18. Legends in our own minds. :) You sounded great Bucky. I did not have a career drive in league play tonight but I had the next best thing, 3 7 irons from 160 plus that left me in birdie range. Those would have been 5 hybrids last year. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  19. I have a bone to pick with you chunks - getting new clubs is a like a new wardrobe when you loose weight? I lost weight, it cost me $250 to replace my dress clothes. Those are the two fittings towards new clubs.
  20. Have a great time! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  21. Wow - so sorry about the cyst removal complications. My wife has cyst issues and passed those to our son. He had to have cysts removed twice after lengthy sea deployments - imagine trying to sleep on a rack on a sub with one. Ughh - at any rate I feel for you man! To your question, there’s the perfect and there’s reality. The reality is with a busy schedule you will do workouts on days that you play/practice good. If I’m playing on a SuperSpeed day I try to keep that workout as far away from my round as possible. If I’m practicing I do the protocol first as a part of my practice. It’s worked well for me. 22. You’ve got to hang in there - bumps come when they are least expected. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

  25. Welcome to the group! I concur that you should do the protocols per SuperSpeed’s site. There will be more individualization as you get into later protocols - some choices based on your specific swing tendencies. If I recall it that happens at Week 20. Many of us have seen jumps rather than a steady increase. Those jumps have come at different times depending upon the person. As a heads up we’ve also experienced plateaus that have in some cases included a slight speed loss followed by a jump. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
