  1. How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? Picked up the game around 12, I'm 34, hitting balls between trees in the neighbor kid's pasture. After college I started trying to improve and got to an 8. Playing off 10 now and going in the wrong direction. I blame my toddler. What do you love about golf? The mental challenge. I played basketball through college and battled poor mental chatter my entire playing career. Golf has helped improve that. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? I've been a member/lurker for a while. I don't buy new clubs that frequently, but I enjoy all the articles on accessories and always come here first when I'm thinking about new shoes or a pushcart. Where are you from? What is your home course? Grew up in Central Illinois, but currently live in Great Falls, MT. I registered for a handicap at Eagle Falls but I've only played 9 holes there, so it's hard to call it a home course. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Just moved here, so it's hard to say. What do you do for a living? Air Force How’d you pick your user name? Nickname and old basketball number.
  2. Received the V2 for Christmas and have about 20 rounds tracked with it. The accuracy has been almost identical to my laser, and I don't bother pulling the laser out anymore when playing with the V2. I'm not good enough to notice 1-2 yard differences in any case. It doesn't miss many shots, but nearly every round when I review shots it will randomly insert driver for my club selection on a par-3 when I used a 7 or 8 iron. There have also been issues losing contact with satellites in the middle of the round. Most of my rounds are in the front range in Colorado, and I think most of these issues are attributable to the mountains. I played in Seattle in March and had no issues. It's an easy fix when it happens, exit the round and then reenter, but it may be something to consider if you live near mountains. I played in a scramble yesterday and only used the GPS feature and didn't lose signal once, so this issue may have been addressed with the recent firmware update. The putting tracking seems accurate. It says I leave a lot of putts short, and I know that's accurate. There is a lot of value in the short game usage stats, especially when thinking about club selection and up and down percentages. Overall I've been happy with the device and it's interesting to look at the round after the fact. I think I need to do more work digging into the results to find areas to improve.
