  1. Quick question for you guys. I think I'm going to get my belly putter cut down to 38" from its original 43". My question is how would I counter the change in weight from taking off a good chunk off of the end of the club? Lead tape on the end of the shaft? Also, how much would cutting it down effect feel? My coach had a 35" putter and he added 3" to it and I liked the length of it and I tried out some 38" putters in a golf shop and decided that's the length I'll go with. My coach said he added a belly putter grip to keep the balance right for his putter but a belly putter would be different. I'm going to talk to the club repair man at my course and see what he thinks but I wanted to hear your opinions and experiences. Worst case scenario would be that I would invest in a different putter, but I'd get the lie checked out by someone so it would be fit for me as much as possible. I had my eye on the Taylormade Spider Blade putter. I didn't like it at first but it's starting to grow on me.
  2. You have a special connection with your driver if you can't replace it after 30+ attempts, stop trying to cheat on it with other drivers offering false promises of distance gains and overall superiority.
  3. Played a quick 9. The score was dissapointing because of tee shots and putting but I am seeing improvement especially in driving (distance) and approach shots. So I am happy about that.
  4. Some of these are already true for me
  5. Muira Baby Blades Mizuno MP 33 Mizuno MP 68
  6. I love Los Serranos, I've played there quite a bit especially the South.
  7. I like my current one, Odyssey Sabertooth Can't go wrong with a classic 8802 I haven't owned enough to make a clear third pick
  8. I shot +2 at some small par-3/4 course. The holes aren't very far, there's two that are 210+ plus but everything else is around 100. I'll take it for not hitting for two weeks and not playing for a month.
  9. I was going to say I've never seen PING irons in that bad of condition, they keep their looks for the most part even after years of use. I've noticed the i20's don't wear the same as other PING irons but honestly those look really bad. Sorry about the condition of your purchase.
  10. I understand what they're saying but they definitely don't word that right. Sounds arrogant as you guys have mentioned already.
  11. Lucky, I've heard of that place and have wanted to play there for a while. How was the course?
  12. That's how my dad marks them, except the dots are below the number.
  13. 4 green dots surrounding the logo on top, bottom, left, and right.
  14. Shot even par 36 today to shoot my best round in an official HS match and to tie my best 9 hole score in my life. Our team shot 1 over par (181) which is our new school record and I got to be part of that which was cool. We took 5 scores: 34 (-2), 34 (-2), 36 (E), 38 (+2), 39 (+3).
  15. Played at a place called Yorba Linda C.C. for our team's practice round. I couldn't hit anything to save my life but made up and down on a couple holes. I bought a Odyssey Sabertooth Belly Putter today and put it in play without any prior practice and had 1 or 2 three putts which is amazing for me especially lately. So today my hitting sucked but putting was good, usually the opposite. I'm excited because my putting seemed a lot better and I know it will help a lot with my scores on days where my hitting is on.
  16. I've been doing mediocre lately, my scores aren't terrible but not good. I had a couple good rounds of +4 and +3 (9 holes) which helped a little. My putting has cost me so many strokes lately especially lag putts. I'll leave them 5-6 feet short and then miss those. Other than that, everything else is pretty solid.
  17. I don't think I'd qualify because I have don't have a fairway wood or hybrid. Doesn't matter considering I don't even like Taylormade
