Understood.... All that I am saying is that you could disservice your golf game based on a handful of positive reviews. On the flipside, If you narrow down your selection of clubs, based on reviews, and not even consider “Brand-X”, your leaving potential strokes “on the table”. MGS is the Swiss Army knife of golf forums with lots of information to digest, arming the golfer with the information and tools needed to make their next big purchase. There is a lot of great equipment out there, and some not so great. For ME, since I am the one paying for it, I have to see how it performs in MY hands, numbers wise and most important how it performs on the golf course.

To buy golf clubs based on recommendations is committing golf suicide. I don't care what anyone says, swing the clubs firsthand and get fitted.

What I had in mind: Baby fade, 222 yard Par3, into the wind. wanted to leave it short for a 2 putt par below the pin. What happened: 4 iron, punch/bullet/semi-skull fade to 2 feet. birdie. I like when that happens.

We ALL have bad rounds. PERIOD. I just chalk it up as a bad round and move on.

Played in a small Blitz @ Brackenridge Park Golf course, took 4th with a carded 77.

couple of things would happen if I attempted to hit a wedge 218 yards. 1.. My spine would be literally outside of my body, golfing career over. 2.. The ball would be unplayable after I put a dent right smack on the equator (followed by outcome #1)
