  1. I don't know whether my original question went through. If it did I apologize for the repetition. I'm not familiar with an all fit adapter. I assume from the name that it would work on my Stealth 2+.
  2. Haven't been in before but would like to give it a try.
  3. Mizuno MP29 were the best irons. Like buttah! My current Vokeys are the best wedges. Taylormade Sim2 was a pretty good driver for me. I'm still looking for the "best" 3 wood. Those things are evil.
  4. I've been fit by Club Champion twice. The fitter was never pushy at all and even told me he couldn't beat my current (at the time) driver. In the most recent fitting he told me my Srixon ZX5 irons were fine but he didn't like the shaft for me. I ended up replacing my Recoil shafts with Steelfiber. However, I didn't get the results on the course/range that I got in the fitting. I attribute that to being fit indoors. I don't think club/ball/turf interaction off a mat is the same as off grass. Also, it takes me a while to make good contact hitting inside. I feel claustrophobic and feel like I'm going to hit something other than the ball. My next fitting will be outside. The only clubs in my bag that I was fit for are my TSR4 driver and my 3 Vokey wedges and they were all fit outside. I'm much more confident in those fittings. Good luck with your ongoing search.
  5. 1st tie breaker is +6 cutline 2nd tie breaker is 91 high score
  6. Thanks Tigger. I agree with all of that! The reason I have a 48* is because the PW is so strong. I also have taken my 4i out of the bag. I use graphite shafts in my irons but steel in my wedges. I've gone to lighter weight steel so the differential in feel is not totally out of whack. I recently put a 20* Srixon driving iron in the bag and took out a 21* hybrid because of ball flight in the wind. It's all about gapping correctly from 3W on down and part of the fun of the game. 7. I'd have to say an albatross is more difficult. I've had four holes in one and zero albatrosses. I've come close to many additional holes in one but really have only come close to one albatross (1/2 a roll short from 250). Also, now that I've aged considerably I still have four opportunities a round for a hole in one and about four opportunities a month for an albatross ( even after moving up tees).
  8. It depends on when I put the last new ball in play. If I put it in play half way through the previous round I probably start the next round with it. I won't go more than 36 holes with a ball and that is pretty rare. We have coquina/sand cart paths (no drops) that don't really mar a golf ball. Trees will discolor a ball but most of my damage comes from bladed bunker shots. Occasionally I will lose a ball in a water hazard, whoops, penalty area. Also, we have an older tree with an opening in the base that is just right of the 18th green. Many times I will toss my ball in that opening to pay homage to the golf trolls/tree monkeys in hopes that I will get favorable bounces my next round. "I'm not superstitious but I am a little stitious."
  9. My wedges go 44-48-54-58. So I have the 6* gap on the 48-54 wedges. I don't have many situations that arise where I'm uncomfortable choosing one or the other. I'm an old codger and my wedges don't go all that far but a full shot is...44=115; 48=100; 54=83 and 58=68.
  10. I've been fit indoors with Club Champion and at Edwin Watts. I've been fit outdoors at TPC Sawgrass and Sea Island Resort. I've found all of the fittings to identify the same issue with me...too much spin on my driver. All of the fittings have produced similar results with the irons. The only identifiable difference in the indoor vs outdoor was consistency of the contact. I was more consistent with solid contact outdoors than indoors. I assume everyone has some "throwaway" shots that don't fit the typical shot pattern. I have more throwaways indoors than outdoors. Claustrophobia maybe?
