  1. I saw a video on YouTube, and I was hooked. How could a $699 mobile launch monitor provide data on par with a GC3? And be able to play simulators that look killer? So me, being the worlds second biggest sucker, only behind you, I decided to take the plunge. I made my order last Saturday, and here it sits in my hand as I write this. As opposed to following the normal script in providing a review about a product, this will be more along the lines of jumping into the deep end and floundering as I go. If you follow along, please ask questions, and I’ll do my best to answer. I haven’t decided to keep editing this primary post with new info, or to just keep adding comments as I move along. But since the wife is ready to go to dinner, this first post will be quick- and just a few pics to get started…
  2. I’m actually kind of surprised there is such a lack of involvement in this thread. Maybe it’s because it’s still a fairly new and untested unit…
  3. Yes , I get a lot of misreads too. So many in fact, that I bought a Rapsodo MLM2PRO. It will be interesting to see if I’m able to get them both working at the same time.
  4. I got so sick of missing every putt inside of 10 feet I bought a cheapo (Skilz) putting mat, it’s only 7’ long, but results are showing up. I try to hit 50 or more a day, and it’s only to get to where I can put the ball on the desired line. It’s helping without question
  5. Used the Tour a lot, haven't tried the S. Not a fan of the softer balls... Like the tour, LOVE the tour X
  6. I thought I should add that I used the new tour x today for my epic game. The ball is a total gamer, regardless of price. Long with exceptional control and spin. don’t be a dork, use em… actually, don’t they suck… leave em all for me
  7. Shot of the day among 6 birdies and a 68, had to be a 9 iron on 13 that I had to draw about 10’ around a tree. Stuck the green and spun back to about two feet. One of 4 shots to be within 2 feet for birdies. It was just my day…
  8. you have a fantastic swing, and also look very coordinated on the offhand swings. I was having a hard time believing your speeds, but watching you get through it, its amazing! Extraordinary athleticism. Now with that, there is no reason for you to be at a +20 something index. You just gotta find the right teacher to reel all that in, and get it all working for you.
  9. Mine shipped today!!! Here is what I hit into every day...its like a 12x12 I think. I might need to rotate the screen 180*. Ill have to figure out how to get the info to my projector... I think there is a learning curve to this whole enchilada...
  10. Finally a day where it all came together. Except for a dumb double on 5, and a really long lake shot on 6, everything worked. Speed Swing Golf has given me at least 20 on drives, and irons are a club longer, so combined its like 3 clubs easier. Only missed 2 greens in reg, and no 3 putts. 4 of the 6 birdies were less than 2 feet. Irons were more than deadly, and driver was a beast. Days like today make the endless work worth it...
  11. Man I roasted my drives today. Anymore, a 240 something is a mishit, or a steep uphill shot. I got a 284, a 297, some 260's etc.. I even hit a tree on the fly that used to be one we would get behind over on the right side of 17. Irons were crispy today, and ~10 yds longer with the good old swing. As usual, a good dose of stupid ruined a potentially great round. I cannot hit my irons with the SS Swing, but the driver seems to work. Even when I miss, it still goes ~240 ish, so I simply cannot complain about extra speed hurting my game. I think its going to be a tough road ahead to get my index much lower, because its not the length of my hits that are hurting my score, its the foolish mental lapses along with the occasional less than optimal swing.
  12. shouldn't need the PRGR once you get the MLM2Pro... I like my little PRGR, but it seems to miss a lot of swings, so Im kinda used to that happening... But I dont think the 2Pro will be remotely as simplistic
  13. yea Matt pretty well summed it up, BUT. I also got a lot of people saying theirs works great. Spin numbers without the dotted ball... well yea.. obviously why they use the balls. And most agree that the spin numbers with the dotted ball are very good indeed, almost spot on with a CG Quad I do believe there will be a pretty good learning curve for connectivity and connecting with E6, or awesome golf. But we are getting pretty techie here with quite a complex unit. I am actually trying to learn as much as possible before my unit arrives, in order to lower the curve, and to be able to get up and running ASAP
  14. Shot great today, up until a stupid double on 12. Absolutely crushed a drive right up to the edge of the baranca, (sp?), with 75 to the hole, then chunked the 58* right into the junk. So stupid... then reloaded and threw on up right next to the pin. And missed the tap in bogie... And this after a tough bounce resulted in a bogie on the par 3 hole right before it. So, combined with my previous +2, I was now at +5, just like that! Finished at +6, so an ok day, after a great start.. meh.....golf....
  15. Funny you say that... thats exactly how I warm up. Drivers, 6-7 irons, and some putts. But today I made it through the "gauntlet" (what we call the first 3 holes) unscathed.
  16. looking forward to it like a new set of clubs
  17. I need to figure out how to get a better start every day. it just seems that Im always 3-8 0ver on the front nine, then the back is good. Like today, +10 thru 10, then -3 for the remainder, to save a 78 for the day. Sheesh Positives were, the putter is starting to get back on track. Drives were long, but seems like everything was right. Negatives were, I suddenly forgot how to hit an iron... Told my buddy I needed a birdie on one of the last 3 holes to break 80. Got two, both the par 5's. Thank you putter!
  18. I ordered one on Saturday, from Rapsodo web site. After the fact I found that you can get them from Dicks too, in just a few days. How long was your wait time for delivery? Ive also joined a few facebook Rapsodo pages, and there is a lot of crying going on there as lots of people dont seem to be able to make them work correctly.
  19. session 2 level two , everything way faster. I think that last fridays was just a bad biorhythm day, and I was just weak overall. Today I felt strong, and got a 102 pre, and a 105 post session. And then I cracked a 115 on the post green speed. That was a goal, and now a 120 is the goal. Real golf today was a basket case, but saved a 78 with 3 birdies on the back. Drives were long, but I was blocking everything to the right side. I am noticing that my sides are sore after every session for a day or two. those muscles are getting worked... I like it
  20. I’m trying to stick with same swing for irons after yesterdays fiasco with irons swing. I tried the John Daly swing with them and it wasn’t good. But, I have found that my normal swing has picked up 10-15 yards with irons. Todays round was pretty solid at 5 over, including a stupid double on 9 after coming up a yard short of clearing the ditch, duherrrrr… driver has been longer, which is giving me shorter approach shots, which is also at least a club less into the equation. So basically for instance, on a hole that I hit a good drive on, I’m hitting an 8 or 9 iron in, instead of a six or seven iron. so obviously that’s a plus. I’m learning quickly to leave the swing speed “swing” in the garage, and am finding the good old regular swing is longer, without really trying. i saw the flaws quickly, and instantly bailed on the speed “swing”, on irons for sure. The driver however seems to like the bigger swing, and I’m hitting that pretty well. Now also keep in mind, we have barely started week six, and I have plenty of time to get all messed up. i guess my question back to you is; did you return to your “old swing” without the flaws? And if and when, did you find it to still be faster than it was.? cheers
  21. I started level 2 today, and found the heel stomp thing quite interesting… especially left handed. The stepping swing was easy I thought, but this heel thing is weird. However, it’s fast. Not so much goofyfooted, but dominant hand is good. still can’t crack that 114 mph. I seem to be stuck, but still working as hard as I can with hopes for a breakthrough soon.
  22. (Normal 106.33 108.00 ) Do you realize that your driver speed is 12 mph faster than the average lpga pro, and only 7 mph shy of the men’s pga average speeds? That’s crazy! that is phenomenal!! And you are barely starting the program! I was pumped at a Callaway day yesterday when I was barely cracking 100 mph… if you only see 5%, you’ll be over 110 mph. I would kill for that much speed…
  23. Im gunna get one What source would be quickest? Amazon says July 27th. Thats almost 3 weeks..
  24. Tho its only been 5 weeks, I can tell you that I doubt I'll shave much as a 4, because distance doesnt fix stupid. And most of my strokes are lost in weird, and usually foolish ways like chunked chips , poor putts and the like. But with that, I can tell you that its a lot easier to hit a green from 110, rather than 130+, and its also easier hitting a green with an 8 iron than it is with a 7 iron from the same distance. It stops quicker. etc... Blending the speed swing into real golf this week has resulted in two 74's, and an ugly 79 today that saw a plus 8 front. Haven't hit them all perfectly either, but theres been some sweet peaches in the mix... I also think it would be beneficial to people who can't play often because you'd still get a lot of swings in, even if in the garage, or back yard...
