  1. It takes me a few words to get out what i'm trying to say Still no plans to come down this year? Played at bribie a couple of weeks ago with FGA guys got 12 i think all up. Super course if i'm still living here that will be the club i'll join its in superb condition for a superb price. Had a craker of a round driving, the rest of the game needed help though. Only good approach shot for the day was an 8 iron in and managed to nearly stop the X3 dead 7 feet out. It bit and kicked a foot to the right, it feels good to hit a shot in which i get to repair my own pitch mark instead of every other lazy beggers.
  2. Hi all first post here. I'm one of Boz's test pilots back in oz. Good to see his balls over in the US and gaining some popularity. He provided a link and sang the praises of this forum for a few of us to have a look at. I'm one of the high handicappers boz is trying to help with his game improvement balls. I only started playing nearly 3 years ago and having never really swung a club in my life I was suprised at how hard this game actually is. I havent had a lesson in that time and have been learning through reading and tips from my playing partners. I have 2 young kids 4 and 2 1/2 so once they get a little older I will get some lessons and join a club and get out there and play more regularly then i'll worry about my high scores I used to shoot in the 150s when i started and my best to date is 103 ,which i know is crap, but i have started playing really well I just have a few blowouts per round which makes hard to post a good score when you have 4 or 5 holes that amount to 35-40 strokes on there own Last game out I had two par 5s that i was hitting my third at from 100 out and the best I walked away with was a 7. I found my problem area of my game that needs to be addressed now which I am confident that with the help on an X3 i will be on my way! I started using the standard UV's and unfortuneatly at the start I averaged 6 lost balls per round which was a killer but I think Boz may have liked the business As my game got a bit better and i got a little more consistent I got hold of a few of the X2s, to try a slightly higher spinning ball. I had a shocking slice so tended to stick with the UV's (plus i HATE white balls). I had alot of problems that needed addressing and with the help of another forum member back in aus he gave me a few tips that were an instant help and i still hear is voice after a bad slice Now days my swing is a mostly better and my ball of choice is a UVX3. I can keep it fairly straight (I now have more trouble pulling balls to the left) as I often leave my driver in the bag for the first 9 holes as i'm more consistent with the 3 wood but the driver still brings out the slice in my swing. I have even managed to get these little X3s to stop on occasion with the full shots from the pw 9 and 8 irons. The feel off the putter is what i really like about this ball though i'm still not as good with them as I am with the old UV. Another problem i have is with slightly fat shots but thats bearable. I'm still chewing through my stocks of UV's version 2 I think as i am getting better I barely lose a ball a round these days which is good... but I really want to play the X3's. One thing Boz will have to work on is a few more no's or symbols on the UVX3s as not in my regular group there is a few of us playing them Anyway thats my story thanks for reading. It looks like you guys have got a really good forum going on here so i will enjoy sifting through it. Alot of Boz test pilots hang around on an aussie forum if you guys ever want to jump on and see what were doing left me know and i'll post up the address as I dont know the rules on that sort of thing. Andy
