  1. I posted my Trackman results from Ping Proving Grounds so not surprised at all by the 10k win. Higher launching and lower spin than my G430 Max, by design, and STRAIGHTER?! Duh!!!! Easy choice.
  2. Yeah, CRAZY!!! I’ve always done well with stiff tip, stiff butt (there’s a joke there I’m sure), like Ventus Black, RIP Alpha, etc, so not surprising that type of shaft gave the best results. Can’t wait to have it in my hands!
  3. I’m posting this pic to show all of the driver combos we tried just so yall can see how big a difference there is just between shafts, weight location, loft, etc. For those that think “off the rack” will be best, I hope you see that’s not the case.
  4. Here’s a picture I think y’all will like. My G430 Max is in brown/olive, my newly ordered G430 Max 10k is in light blue. The hype is real…
  5. I did not, took a few swing with the Blueprint S, but that was it.
  6. Had a great day! I did show improvement with the 10K over the G430 Max I have, and we had a pretty big change in shaft. I’m going from the Ping Tour 75X to the Mitsubishi Kai Li 60X. Not only gained reduced dispersion but picked-up 10+ yards of carry. 10k is higher launch and lower spin, I’ll get my Trackman numbers later to show y’all. The new wedges are really good! Brought down my peak height by over 20 feet!!!! Going with X100 shaft’s in them, a 54 and 58. The 58 T grind was silly good out of the sand! Loved it. The 54 will be S grind. Putter is the new 2024 PLD Milled Oslo slight arc, loved it. I hit a ton of putts from different lengths, and they used the Ping Putting app and cradle to get some numbers. My overall handicap with it was +1.6, with numbers as high a +3.6 in certain categories. Such a great day out there, and my fitter was awesome, so accommodating, asked a TON of questions.
  7. I have arrived, signed my NDA and now waiting in the lobby for my fitter.
  8. I’m sure they will. I forgot about those, not looking to replace my i230s but I do need to hit the i530 just to see how they feel
  9. Yep, headed there Thursday for my 3 hour fitting! Wedges, putter, and putting my G430 Max against the new Max 10k, going to be a lot of fun!!! I’ll post info here after I’m finished.
  10. Congratulations!!! It would be cool to have someone do a fitting with the EAS and Array both and then share what the results were. Enjoy, fellas!!!!
  11. I jumped to go to the range after a week in meetings, only seeing the outside to walk from building to building! Worked on 1/2 shots trying to start this season getting my knuckles rotating down the correct way. My leg action, rear leg specifically is a problem and I need to get it corrected, probably number one for me to accomplish to improve my play! Sore today…
  12. My Ping rep hooked me up again with the VIP fitting, so going to definitely get fitted for wedges and putter, and will put the G430 Max to the test vs G430 Max 10k! Cant wait!!!!
  13. Not clubs, but bought two pair of Adidas Tour 360 for $90 each, minus a $126 credit I didn’t even know I had!!! Boom! One pair with navy stripes, the other with black.
  14. I’m sure there are a number of you who follow Kyle on IG and YouTube on his Cart Barn Guys page. I have been in Phoenix for work for a couple days so I ran by Papago Golf Course where he works. Sure enough he was in the cart barn washing balls and was able to stop for a second to say “hello”. Such a good dude. Said he isn’t going to be trying for the KF tour anymore, so that was a bummer. He was kind enough to take a selfie with me and he gave me a Tour Tee. Anyway, was cool to meet him in-person!
  15. Never compared to Pro V1, but I had excessive spin with Z Star series, and V1X, so when I was at Ping getting fitted they used the Ballnamic fitting using my exact numbers from the fitting. I have zero issues holding greens on approaches whether irons OR wedges, most of the time they hit and stick, no back-up which is awesome. Last time I played I hit my 4 hybrid into a Par 5 from 220 out and the AVX hit and stuck about 4 feet away… Been a great ball for me.
  16. I’m going to be grabbing these when they come out. All of the characteristics that made it the correct ball for me based on my numbers and I’ll get a little more distance and green side spin? Yep. I’ll take it! Now to wait and see if the multi-box discount will hit this year too….
  17. I swing 110+ and the AVX was what I was fitted to at Ping… Used it all last year.
  18. I was going to book now but the kits don’t go out until Feb 14 I think…
  19. Visited with Edel today to ask why no magnetic alignment fitting options for the blade, and then if there’s a reason to change from EAS. They didn’t make options for the blade because hardly any demand from previous fittings, and vs EAS these can be fit to stroke, and aren’t torque balanced like EAS, these have toe hang. I’ll do a fitting and see what happens.
  20. Numerous times… I’ve had a couple drivers, sets of irons, wedges, 2 putters, you name it! I used to demo all new releases each year and do fittings and some just didn’t work like they did in the fitting… Both drivers were a shock once I got them in-hand after my fittings. Crazy.
  21. On the sole comparison I note this in a post where I’m chipping around the green. Yeah, it’s certainly a major factor!!! What I take from Edison’s claims about forgiveness goes to the location of weight in the head, and the overall design of the head creating a larger sweet spot, etc. Even with a fully fitted Edel, the claim of being more forgiving does not have an asterisk, a caveat, some kind of clarification to say that they would only be more forgiving than clubs purchased off the rack, or against non-fitted options, and I think that this is important to note. Club manufacturers make claims and the claims apply to all golfers unless specifically stated. Our job as a tester is to test the claims. I made sure to make it perfectly clear in my chipping post, and review exactly what you’re saying. Was going to be tough… BUT, I, as a tester, am still to test the claims and say my experience. Was it going to be tougher? Sure!!! But this is what MGS, the site, is ALLLLLL ABOUT. I’ve been here since day one. One of the “OGs”, I believe in what MGS does, we put manufacturer claims to the test and honestly report our findings. Anyway, I enjoyed the wedge testing, I’m very appreciative of the opportunity, and maybe my results will reflect that values of My Golf Spy, honest assessment of manufacturer claims put to the test against “gamers”, fitted or not.
  22. Yep, how we do it too… My point really has zero to do with handicaps, sanctioned events, etc, it’s just saying that 99% of golfers don’t need to use a rolled back ball, so there will still be a very large market for what we use now. Purely opinion…
  23. I say there will be, but it’s a guess like anyone else… Literally 99% of golfers don’t need a rolled-back ball and it will be local rule, so my thinking is that they’ll keep manufacturing. No one knows for sure…
  24. Precisely my point! Everyone’s getting wrapped around the axel about a handicap and rules, good gracious, people are going to want “illegal” balls. Manufacturers will make a mint, or like you say, there will be a black market for them.
  25. When does someone need a handicap??? For competition. If one never competes, which is the overwhelming number golfers in the WORLD, then why do they need to play legal balls?
