  1. Haha you should ask HulaRock about that 78yd wedge...
  2. Swear, give me a 4i into a tight green and I'll make it look easy, but give me a 7i into a big green and I find somewhere on the planet to hit it!
  3. I've had four rounds in the past few weeks (since not playing for over 8), and the most recent was at Tour 18 in Houston. While my score was atrocious, my 9th and 10th holes, 1 & 2 on the card, were both birdies. First a drive to center fairway of Harbour Town 18, but a bit short. Then 195 to a tight pin that I stuffed inside 10' with my 4i..sank the putt surprisingly. Next hole was Bay Hill 6. Drive to a safe spot, leaving about 225 to pin and nailed my 18* hybrid about 30' past, and nestled the eagle putt up to about two feet. Best two holes I've ever played back to back. I'm looking forward to getting back there when I move and playing more often. I loved the Augusta holes they used.
  4. I can actually say I haven't purchased a golf related thing in over a month! So where has my money gone? New motherboard, liquid cooling system, CPU, ram, SSD, and GPU for my desktop. Sigh it's always something.
  5. Uhm.... so I thought I was happy with the Covert 1.0 3 wood, until I found a BNIP Adams XTD Ti 15*. Given that I've fallen in love with the BB 7S in my driver, I may either put an MT 7S or Earth 7F4 into this head if I don't care for the Red Tie. The Earth already has about 1" tipping when installed with the TM adapter so I'd just have to chop the butt down a bit really.
  6. I read ankle brace and for some reason I thought "ankle bracelet" and wondered what you did to be placed under house arrest. Did the wife find your new goodies?
  7. Tour AD BB 7S came in Thursday. Took baby to daycare yesterday, picked up some 30/60 epoxy at Golfsmith on the way home, installed a SLDR tip, and played it in today's scramble. Loving the shaft!
  8. I think I could live with Noodles. Now if they're Kick-X THAT would be a travesty!
  9. Methinks seller didn't want to let it go at the price the auction ended at. The whole "clubs were stolen/damaged" line has been used on people quite a lot. But he happens to have a putter he'd sell you for significantly more I'd bet.
  10. So uh guys... I may or may not have also just picked up a new uncut Elements Fire 6F4... But it's ok because I sold some irons and plan to sell another set, right? RIGHT?
  11. No but I couldn't pass up the chance to lose a ball with someone else's name on it!
  12. Oh I have a 7F4T in my Covert 2.0. The Earth is for my SLDR experiment. The Fuel TS played nicely in it yesterday.
  13. Hah only things I've got to go in them are either PX 5.5s or DG S300 (shimmed for the hosel size).
  14. My name is TxStCatman and I have a problem. You see I've been posting about how I'm done buying golf related things, but it's all a lie! If I'm not honest with myself I won't be honest with you guys. Just lately: Tour issue SLDR 460 UST Elements Earth 7F4 (currently bidding on a Fire 6F4) TM Burner 2.0 iron heads (purely to shaft up and resell) Adidas golf pants Five Nike Golf polos Set of Lamkin grips for aforementioned iron heads build Phew, glad that's off my chest!
  15. I may have to throw some iron shafts I just got in up for sale. I don't have any heads for them... And I DON'T need to to find any. Also have an interesting 2 iron project club I haven't yet hit because I don't think I have the frijoles for it.
  16. Oh yea, also since my last round in November I added:Tour issue RBZ Stage 2 18.5* hybrid with Ozik Altus and Tour Green shafts. Tour issue Idea Pro VST 21* with RIP Phenom 80 2015 bag(s) SHOULD be set now.
  17. MPH5 4-PW 2x MPT5 wedges R11 9* DOT head and RIP Beta 70 Think I'm set bag-wise for a while
  18. Got mine! Love the marker. Appreciate the gesture on the part of MGS!
  19. I first came to MGS because of some dude calling himself "Hula". He told me it was a nice online community of guys who weren't keyboard tour pros, making things up about themselves and anyone else. Since coming here, I've found the community to be a wealth of information for golf related equipment that I might otherwise have not heard about. I thoroughly enjoy reading the review forums, as well as the experience threads from the groups that get to make special visits to OEMs. I've also had the honor of participating in a review thread for MGS prior to the release of a product. In such a small time I feel a vested interest in participating more in the community here and I make it a part of my daily ritual to read up on the goings on.
