  1. Sweet! Gonna order somethin' from them, and hope they jack it up! Na, very classy of Cobra to do that. Awesome. Looking forward to your reviews.
  2. Wow, you have a knack for making golf clubs look SEXY! You could start a new kind of CLUB magazine! Sweet looking set up!
  3. Thank you kind sir. Same at you...
  4. I like them a lot. I'm still getting dialed in, but a real nice feel. I tried Cobra Amp Cell, Taylormade Rocketbladez, Callaway X Hot, and the G25's. After swinging all of them for about an hour or so, I settled on the PING's. I tried graphite, and it just didn't click for me. In fact with graphite, I was leaning toward Rocketbladez, then... I tried the G25's with steel shafts... Oh my, different ball game for me. I tried the Rocketbladez as well with steel, but the PING's just felt like I arrived home! I did this two times before deciding. There was nothing wrong at all with the other irons. The G25's just spoke my language I guess. They said "Buy Me"! I went eco budget on the PING hybrids and driver. I just get along much better with iron type hybrids, and I had read such great things about the G15 driver, well... just happened to find them online at a steep discount. Demos being cleared out by dealers. It pays to be a lefty sometimes I think. The driver was actually still wrapped like new. Authentic real deal clubs... I called in the serial numbers to PING. We're talkin' bargin here! They jumped in the FedEx truck and showed up on my doorstep. At least that's what I told my wife...
  5. Here's what's on board my Nike Performance bag: Driver: Taylormade Burner Superfast 2.0 10.5* Reg Flex, or PING G15 10.5* Reg Flex (just depends on my mood) Hybrids: PING G15-17* 2H, PING G20-20* 3H, PING G20-23* 4H Reg Flex Irons: PING G25 5-U Green Dot CFS Cushion Shafts Reg Flex Wedges: Taylormade ATV 56* (bent to 55*), and 60* Wedge Flex Putter: Odyssey White Hot XG #9 34" Winn Midsize Grip Fairway Wood: Soon adding a G15 3 Wood 15.5* Reg Flex Will bag the 3 Wood or 4 Hybrid depending on the course. I'll grip down and throttle back the 3 Hybrid if carrying the 3 Wood
  6. I got to play my first round with new custom fit PING G25 irons 5-U. I'm getting used to them, but what a difference! I purchased Taylormade ATV wedges, and those are proving to be quite nice as well. My wife booked me a round at Avila Beach Golf Resort. Deer all over, and a pretty challenging course for a higher handicapper like me. There were some tight passages, and some BIG water you had to drive over. A little intimidating, as the tourists love to stand and watch you give it a whack, hoping your ball plunks into the water! I made it over, but must admit, I lost a couple of balls first. Now on the subject of hybrids, I picked up, almost like new, PING G15-17*, G20-20*, and G20-23* hybrids to go with my new irons. I checked the serial numbers and they are the real deal. Demos, exactly my fit! I had to work with them at the range a couple of times, but I couldn't be more happy with these hybrids. Yep, I know, they look like a swollen toe, but they work! In fact, I've found my new "favorite" club. It's the G15-17* 2H. I don't carry any woods at all, just my driver, irons, wedges, putter, and the three hybrids. The G15-17* is a champ! I can use it to tee off on tight fairways, or narrow, tree lined tee boxes. I can hit it about 230+ yards on a good strike, which is fine for me. I used it many times during the round to get me to the green on the second shot. It was nice! I was a little worried about it, but once I got it dialed in, I really started to trust it. The part I really love about the G15, and the G20's for that matter, is that with the shape being more like an iron, I go for knock down shots with confidence. Where with a traditional, wood type hybrid, I might not. They play great off of tight lies, glide well through rough, even play from a good lie in the sand. I found myself under some trees, low hanging branches, with about 210 yards to go, and told my partner "watch this shot"... I leaned the shaft forward, had the ball back in my stance and let it fly. The ball sailed under the branches, took a slight fade and landed about 20 feet off the green! LOL It was probably a little luck, but I went for it like I knew what I was doing. He was like "dang, nice shot"! If you can stand the "look" and haven't tried the G15-G20 PING hybrids, you can pick them up cheap right now. Give 'em a chance, you might like them.
  7. I go back to PONG! Then Mattell Intelivision. But for PC gaming, I started back with Madden 96 and Monster Truck Madness. Both mulit-player. Now I am playing Battlefield 3, COD Black Ops 2, Starcraft 2, Battlefield Bad Co 2, Counterstrike Global, Crysis 3, Gotham City Imposters (great game on Steam for FREE) Assassin's Creed III multi-player, etc. I'm a multi-player geek! How about you?
  8. The beautiful armpit known as Fresno!
  9. Name is John. Picked up golf about 20 years ago, hacked away, then had kids. I let the game go until about a year and a half ago. I have improved quite a bit, still blow up on several holes, but closing in on better game management. I'm pretty excited. I've been fitted for new clubs and will have the cash in hand next week to go ahead and order them. I've settled on Ping G25 irons 5-U, Ping G20 3-20* and 4-23* hybrids and a Ping G20 4-16.5* fairway wood .(saving some cash on G20's but great clubs) I am going for Taylormade ATV wedges in 54* and 58*. I already have a Taylormade Superfast Burner 2.0 driver and an Odessy White Hot #9 putter. I am really enjoying the game again. I love being outdoors, spending time with my 16 year old son who plays too. We aren't too good, but we have a laugh and get some time together away from everyone and everything else. Hope to make a few friends here. This place is very informative. Love it. Oh wow, my avitar... LOL I'm also an avid PC gamer. Battlefield 3, Black Ops II, etc... Young at heart I guess. My son keeps me into that mode. He is a gaming fool as well. 6/28/13 Well, picked up my ATV wedges today, and decide to stick with what is close to my set up already. I got the 56* for sand, and 60* lob. That has worked for the last year, so I stuck with it. Ordered the G20 hybrids off of ebay, got demos for 1/2 price! My fit exactly, and they would look just the same in a few months anyway. LOL Also got a line on a G15 17* 2 hybrid. I may just stick that in my bag in place of the G20 4 wood I had planned. I'll give it a go and see what happens. Cheers from HOT AS H#$% Fresno, CA 110* today... Great weather for.... stayin' in the house!
