I have many photos from friends and family in Michigan that look just like this one, i can honestly without any doubt say, I do t miss it at all, ever.

Beautiful day outside, sunny and light wind. Course was empty for a change. I was breezing along. On #13, Par 3 over a big pond to a peninsula green, i hit a low hook that went down by the water. I parked the cart by the green, then walked back down to the water where the bank drops off steeply. Just as i got to the edge, i looked to my right. Sleeping half-in, half-out of the water was a 7-foot gator. I almost walked right up to him without seeing him. But as it turned out, i was about 20 feet past him. Still, nobody was around, nobody would've seen a thing. Spooky.
 
Oh yeah. I forgot about finding my ball. It was somewhere right where he was. ProV1, too.

913D3 8.5 with UST Proforce AXIVCore Tour Black wood shaft, 77g, going heavy.
 
915fd 3 wood 15' with recycled UST Proforce AXIVCore Tour Black wood shaft, 69g, might be too light,
 
Maltby KE4 Tour HDI Hybrid #2, with, yep, recycled UST Proforce AXIVCore Tour Black hybrid shaft. Also put on GP MCC 4 grip on it, blue, for its calming effect. Got the Maltby idea from MattF, thanks, MattF.
 
The Titleist heads came from rebay. The driver. shaft is new, the other 2 were pulled from old Bang stuff rotting away in the kid's bag.
 
All assembled with TLC by yours truly and I made sure the epoxy cured. This is very important in order to be a good citizen.
 

 
Forgot to use that lizard venom stuff though, damn.

Got out yesterday for 18, first full round of the year. Took my boys - shot something around 100, no feel for chipping and putting, but did hit my irons nicely for the most part - that's something I've been working to improve, so that was encouraging. 74 degrees and sunny, we had a lot of fun!

I haven't bought anything yet. However, I'm traveling down the road to a new Cobra driver. I'm looking at either the 2015  Fly-Z or Fly-Z+. Today I'm posting a comment and initial sad experience and a happy ending. The other day I walking into the Pro Shop at my club where they had a display of drivers marked down. With this collection were both drivers I'm interested in. I picked them up and turned to one of the guys behind the counter and asked if I could take them out to test. I was quickly met with a terse... NO! I asked why and he said because they are new and not demos. I said "they are both covered in plastic" or "you can add a layer of tape across the face". Nope. They weren't going to do it. I commented that I'm a potential buyer that the club/pro shop is not user friendly and walked out to the practice tee. In my long history of playing golf and buying clubs pro shops used to always tape a face and let a guy go hit one. Granted this was before fitting carts came around and my club doesn't have a Cobra fitting cart. Later after I warmed up I stopped back by the shop to check on my tee time again and one of the assistants walked up quickly and had some tape in his hand offering to now let me go hit them. I declined.

Later that day I contacted a small local golf retailer to discuss my potential Cobra driver purchase/fitting. He didn't have what I wanted in stock but jumped on my discussion and proceeded to order the two heads and a variety of shafts we can test out. He said when they come in he'll call and we can begin testing the drivers out. (indoors-Trackman) He also said I could take them outdoors and test them out. This guy at the retail shop is jumping through hoops while my club is telling me to go fly a kite. I have to admit that my club is poorly run/managed and I knew that. But now I'm thinking I'll not drop a dime in their shop anymore. At least not till they change their attitude. 

Courses are closed, no golf in South Dakota today...
 

My friend has lost his mind. He is stalking second-hand stores for donated golf gear, and is bringing it home and trying to sell on ebay. He might buff or change a grip to enhance the "product".

Playing in the snow is quite manly. Can't say I've ever done it, shoveling the driveway is bad enough.

Thanks for all the CFB posts. The season is now over, the reigning Champion is now Alabama. Great game last night. Clemson's QB is just a sophomore! They will be back n the mix next year.

Last round in 2015, we had 18 guys for a points game this morning. I shot a 38/40:78. No I did not stutter, that's right, a 78. This was my second round at Pebble Creek playing the Senior Tees.....I rattled off 12 Pars, 5 Bogeys and one Double Bogey. I played with my Cobra Bio Cell Driver and my Powerbilt Fairway Woods and Irons. I am sure that I am hitting the Powerbilt irons at least a 1/2 club longer than the Cobra Bio Cells. I just got into the rhythm and scored. Four Par threes.....hit 2 in regulation, came up shot n the other two ending with 3 Pars and ne Bogey. The Double Bogey came n #17, Par 5....I overshot the green which cost me the double bogey. Overall, this was a great day. BTW, I finished in 2nd place at +7, losing to another 78 that was +9....Happy New Year!
