  1. Signed up and hoping this gets my lazy butt up and moving.
  2. Nice setup! I love the Studio Design putters. That #5 is gorgeous.
  3. Also, forgot to ask another question - Can anyone recommend a good fitter? I have been looking at D'Lance and Club Champion.
  4. Colorado golfers - I am hoping that we are all back to some degree of normalcy in the near future. I have been in the state since last June and have yet to tee it up. I am in Colorado Springs and am looking forward to playing all of the course here as well as planning my must play list for courses around the state. That being said, can anyone recommend some great courses? I don't mind driving a bit and look forward to the input. Thanks!
  5. @JK Col welcome to the site. I am in Colorado Springs. Moved here from Phoenix during the summer and have yet to tee it up since being here. That will change when it warms up a little. Still getting used to this whole winter thing.
  6. Happy to help. I lived in the Phoenix area my enitre life before moving to Colorado a few months ago. Happy to help and let me know if you have any questions. To follow up on what Jax posted , definitely give the course at least two weeks after reopening. Otherwise you will likely be cart path only and putting on shag carpet. Have fun!
  7. No shortage of really good golf and November should be a good time. Are you going at the beginning of November or towards the end? Only reason I ask is that some courses may be coming out of overseeding if they waited until closer to the end of October to shut down. The AZ Golf Association has the overseeding schedule for most courses (https://www.azgolf.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2019/09/2019-Overseed-Schedule-9-3-19.pdf) so you may want to check when you decide on a course. Papago is highly recommended and Aguila is really good too (been several years since I played it though). Also, if you are willing to travel more, check out Southern Dunes, Whirlwind, WeKoPa, Boulders and Grayhawk.
  8. Hey Michael! I am new to Colorado myself after moving my family from Phoenix in June. I still haven't played any golf here yet but would love to tee it up sometime. We are in Colorado Springs but I am willing to travel. Weather permitting that is and I too will have to get used to having an offseason.
  9. How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? - I started playing golf in my mid 20's and have been playng for about 20 years. I currently play to a 9.1 and scores typically in the low 80's. What do you love about golf? - I love that it can be either competitive or casual. I can go and play with lifelong friends or total strangers. My true passion for golf however is making memories with my 8 year old son and watching the fun he has hitting good shots and the teaching moments that come when he doesn't. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? - I love the in depth testing and unbiased results. I do not know any Spies but would like to change that. Where are you from? What is your home course? - I currently live in Chandler, AZ and don't really have a home course. We are moving to Colorado Springs this summer and can't wait to get there so I can enjoy the golf there. That being said, if there are any Spies from that area, please send me a message. I would love to pick your brain about the golf there. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? - In Arizona, the best thing is that there is no shortage of great golf and the worst is the cost to play when it isn't 110 outside. I am excited to see what the future holds in Colorado and this next chapter of my life. What do you do for a living? Quality Systems Ananlyst
