  1. In it to win it if possible! Live in colder weather state but golfing all year round and have access to indoor range or heated outdoor driving ranges. Reason for picking me...HMMMMM....I just recently bought the swing smart for swing analysis and would like to have something to compare result with visual. Oh and I am a high school golf coach that loves to add new devices each year
  2. I have come to the conclusion I need GI irons period so that is the main reason for the switch so.....Just placed my order from a authorized dealer who offered 4 clubs at 350 with "some" reasonable shafts. KBS 90, Dynamic (all versions) and the rocket fuel with no extra charge. I ordered the 7-PW 1 degree strong to see if I can make my set like this: Driver, 3W, 3-5 Hybrid 7-PW (1 degree strong so like having 6-9) But....the lofts are manageable 7 iron 29.5, 8 iron 34*, 9 iron 39*, PW 44*. I am going to bend my current 51* wedge to 49*, my current 55* and 59* to 53*, 57* and add a 62*
  3. Hey all, little late tot he game here but I have been palying the 95i in all my hybrids (3-5) and the c tapers in my irons. absolutely love them. great steady smooth feel throughout the golf swing. My fitter had them in a nak hybrid and I couldn't miss so I went ahead and had him match my specs up for my hybrids. Good writeup MLB
  4. Great write up from one newbie to the next;) I recently changed from scotty back to my bobby grace little man with HSM insert. distance control and short putts have improve ddramtically. the feeling is dull but I'll take results over feel any day of the week
  5. I really do beleive this is a matter of shaft but the accuracy i sa plus. when's teh last time you stuck your 6-7 iron twice in a round?
  6. Great stuff everyone. MGS as a whole did you see that you can select an iron on TMAGs website to put against the rocketbladez? this will give a one for one yardage difference to all Callwawy, Nike, Titleist and Ping models. pretty daring I'm sure we'll see what's up as this season dies down and the new one begins with more testing. I am going to be grabbing a 7 iron to see if it replaces my current miura 6 iron and if so probably grab the 8-AW adding room for one more club (thinking 62-64 degree wedge) that would make 5 wedges in the bag without sparring distance. I currently hav
  7. Uh oh!!! Looks like I need to bring out the vokeys??? Great wedges but I have been playing conforming since the change
  8. Makes Sense. I was being specific to the differnce in your wedges to competitors. or the differnce in playability from Rook to me. Again this game is crazy so there are , I'm sure, 1000 things tha tcould be attributable. On another note are these groove comforming?
  9. Hey Tyler, Thanks to you we were able to do this!! I find it interesting that while rook stated the blunt edge played different and will help the fat shots I was taking more of a divot with the 52 & 56 wedges. Golf is a very strange game but can you enlighten us more than the website response to where the carnahan wedge were heading with the bounce and grinds (I.e. blunt leading edge)
  10. UPDATED REVIEW FROM FSAV Hey all sending out noticed that I finally completed my review. Had it done for a little but been busy and sorry for the reposted pictures and shotty grainy photos but I didn't want to wait any longer. i will try and get better pics tomorrow at the course and update. 11. we opted for the trinidad and it was the coloniales no tht ereyes. a nice smoot creamy cigar. we didn't have any brew since my bro was backed up at work. For me, holidays are about family though and we had a good time regardless!
  12. Not sure if am breaking out the partagas E series or the trinidad reyes but I haven't smoked either and I am eager to get one lit. my brother and I have conflicting schedules so tomorrow we will be on mom's porch watching football through the window after desert with one of these babies (MAYBE BOTH)
  13. Awesome nice Cohiba most liely the real Cuban deal too;) Glad to see the most interesting man in golf go tthrough his sunday putting problem to claimthe title. he had so many changes this year that went astray.

  17. Hey Rook, My wife purchases this for me as a stocking stuffer a while back with the towel. at first I was like okay cool like the towel concept not to keen on having a brush dangling from my bag but I went with it as my wife is ignorant to the carzy minds of a golfer. anyway, at first try, I soaked the towle to see how the seal worked and it worked great but the functionality on the course was far to insignificant that i did away with it. it was a bit heavy on walking days too. as for the brush I returned three and the same thing happne. one the damn clip is too tough to hing and unhin
  18. well peeps it is good to be in this little elite club and as stated before THANKS to MGS again and again. Rook - I am also looking to play an hour or so today with them. Then spend time with my 1 1/2 year old tonight (or as the women say 18 month old). Anyways I have a 7AM tee time tomorrow and if the results are good i may bag them ASAP. Nicsh - I have two words to finding the time...Find the right woman and adjust the time you play to squeeze in every bit of sunlight or light shining from the proshop. I practiced this summer with my wife off as a teacher at 5AM just so I didn't have
  19. Just Arrived - Carnahan Vintage Forged Wedges Surprisingly Carnahan used my Work address and brightened my Friday up a bit:) Anyway, after unboxing I wanted to give my initial response and hope to put these through the review as soon as possible (thank god the supposed 3-6 inches didn't hit my neck of the woods). On to the first date!!!!! When Carnahan and I first met, upon opening the box, they revealed a classic elegant look. I think of the old Wilson "Staff" or Hogan forged wedges circa 1995-1999. A very bright chrome finish (although labeled pearl white on their website)
  20. NICE......35 Feet of cigars GEES all look tasty and the gigantes will definitely last more then 9 holes.
  21. Being an accountant I keep my own stats after rounds. if you like to jot them down then bring the card home or just rememeber (my strategy). the thing with these onthe course items is that you have to get ready to hit a shot strategize the next hole ect the last thing I want to do is add another device to the glf cart or bag to enter data. to me, and ever avid golfer I have encountered, you rememebr hole by hole at least as far as by the end of the day so when you go home take an extra card and jot everything down then. I worked up a spreadsheet and dropped in the average percentage of the
